Where to Stay in Milan When You Visit in 2025

"In Navigli, Combo Milan is a small Italian boutique-hostel offering both dorm beds and private rooms in an industrial-chic space with a fantastic free breakfast, a beautiful inner courtyard with a bar/restaurant, a co-working area, and a guest kitchen; dorm beds are comfy with individual outlets, reading lights, and lockers (though no privacy curtains), and the showers have great water pressure." - Matthew Kepnes

Arrived late at night but despite that check in was very smooth it took less than a few minutes. Room was comfortable, not too noisy maybe because my room was on the third floor, toilets and shower rooms are clean and functional with good water pressure for a nice hot shower during winter. Cafe downstairs serves cheap and good hot chocolate. Will definitely come back.

Good hostel, nice value for price. The place looks tidy and clean. 6-beds rooms have a the bare minimum equipment, a locker for bed but they miss hangers for jackets. Location is very good but there's lack of parking spots.

What a wonderful hostel! I stayed there only for one night after a very long flight from Bangkok, but I really enjoyed it! The building is beautifully renovated, the bed comfortable and everything was clean. And at night you could hear some nice music playing from nearby. The common areas also seemed inviting. And everything for a very reasonable price! 😊 I hope to stay there next time as well.

We stayed for 3 nights with a group of 22 students and 2 teachers during a highschool trip in Milan. The hostel was great and located in a nice and dynamic neighborood. We were a bit afraid after reading some bad reviews indicating bedbugs but everything went fine for us. All the rooms we had were very clean and confortable. Our students loved the place and the breakfast was great ! Furthermore, the staff was helpfull and Giorgio, the staff leader, was very responsive and pleasant for helping organising our stay before our arrival. I would totally recommand this place for all people looking to stay in Milan with a group! Thank you again Combo!

Definitely a place I would recommend for solo travelers. I stayed there for three nights and it was really good – clean, comfortable, and with very friendly staff. The building itself is beautiful, and the atmosphere made my stay even better. If I ever come back, this will be the place I choose again. A warm greeting to the wonderful team 😀🤭working there – thank you for making my stay so pleasant!

I slept in the 4 bed girl dorms. It was clean and very comfortable! The beds have some sort of privacy and a lamp. The staff were all so friendly! I had an issue with my transport being rescheduled and they agreed to keep my luggage at the reception while I sort out the issue. They were the absolute best!

Had a good stay at the hostel. Located very near the Nvigalli canal, hence plenty of options to eat and drinkMetro is close by and has good connectivity. Breakfast options are good. And there is plenty of space in the restaurant. The open air garden behind bar/restaurant is a good place to.relax / spend time.

Very good space but a bit far from station, maybe not very good choice after night flight. Good bathroom with windows even a bit cold during shower. Zzz very well there!! Very good breakfast with different food!! Enjoyed a lot!

Yelp
TL:DR, awful bedbug infestation and gross negligence from the staff. First night I got (30. September 2024) in at 3 am there's is a guy complaining at the desk about getting an itch during the night (red flag). I get my room, it's an empty dorm room, first thing i discover are bed bugs. I am moved to another room and told to "please check this as well and pick a bed I'm comfortable with". It's 7 am at this point cause I had already been going through everything to make sure I had no bedbugs. My new room is seemingly safe, until I get a person moved into my room. Who also struggled with bedbugs. The room she got moved out of still has people in it, not knowing about the current issue that she was having.

Yelp
The day before I was to arrive at Combo Milano, I tested positive for COVID. I quarantined immediately, and sent them an email that I won't be coming. As if getting COVID in the middle of my vacation isn't bad enough, Valeria Serra, the Hospitality Manager, responds that they won't be giving me ANY refund from ALL the days I planned to stay. I get if it's one day, due to the policy, but the whole trip?? IT'S COVID? Do you really want people to be honest about having COVID? If so, don't punish them when they are honest. I tested because I was exposed and I don't want to harm anyone. This is how I'm treated for being honest. You can bet, with a policy like this, that it's a good chance you are sleeping next to someone whose been exposed and really can't afford to part with their money. I really wanted to like COMBO, but I can't support a company that treats people like this.
