Comfort Hotel City

The hotel is centrally and generally ok while the rooms are pretty small. The service is limited, there is a "barception" and room service would be only per 4 days. You cannot drink water/brush your theeth since the bathroom sink is too small and uncomfortable. I stayed here only night and for this reason it was ok for me. For my second day, I found a room at Hotel Royal which is just next to Comfort Hotel and offers exceptional service. For my one-night stay, I give 4 stars to Comfort Hotel, if I had to stay longer, I guess my rating would be lower.

What do some of the people writing reviews expect? It is cheaper than a lot of hotels in the area, that is why you chose it, so do not expect 5 star treatment. ||The hotel is spotless and is cleaned all day long. The rooms are a little small (I was a solo traveller in a double) but it was all that I needed. The room would have been fine had my partner been with me. Desk with chair, TV, hair dryer for those who need it, shower, toilet, big double bed. It was very clean. The narrow hallway complaints? why do you need a wide one? There was plenty of room to walk along it with a suitcase. Again, hallways are spotless.||Location...brilliant, right in the heart of the city. A very short stroll (5 mins at most) to train and bus station. Great location if you want to use the transport to explore other areas as I did.||Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Always saying hello and helped me when I asked for advice. Cleaners were the same, very polite and smiling. Lovely people.||Breakdfast can be a bit cramped. I was up and out so I went for earlier slot at 7am. It got busy later on. Food on offer was really good, plenty of choice, some gluton free options. If you are a Strawberry Hotels member then tea and coffee is free all day long. If not a member, go to reception and they will show you how to sign up. it cot nothing!||There was some noise outside. I like to sleep with a window slightly open. You get a few people strolling home after a night out a bit merry. Part of a building opposite the hotel is being worked ona nd the workers start early. So, you get that noise, but it never bothered me much, and it is nothing the hotel can do anything about.||I stayed here for 4 nights. It was the perfect base. I was happily stay here agin in the future.

I got a gift from a friend to be here but when i got into the corridor it was stuff everywhere and i had to wait them to move so i could get into the room. In my room the bedding was bad and i went to the bathroom the faucet was clogged and i went to shower and it was also clogged. The cleanliness of the place is bad everywhere its dust everywhere and on the bed there is hair. I wanted to return the room but it wasnt written under my name so i couldnt it was very tiring. I wont come back here anytime soon.

We have booked two rooms. And it was not good the bathroom. Smelled like cheese and the shower-wall was a little yellow.The cleaners they don’t understands Swedish only English and looked like they are stressed.When u asked for a iron and they didn’t understand and didn’t show me where it was. So I had to go get it myself stuff we’re all over the hallways the stairs is dirty And I think this hotel is not clean and I won’t come back again

It’s is burning hot all day and night with slow wi-fi you’re better off spending an extra 100kr for a room with an AC and good connection as well as space for more than 1 bag per room

A mistake was made when the room was booked from my side. I missed the detail that there were bunkbeds with weight limits.||||After checking in and noticing my mistake, the receptionist met me arrogance and no customer service at all.||No will to acctually help us out of the problem.||||I comparison to other times thing has gotten wrong this was by far the worst approach and treatment I’ve met in a hotel.

I was there this week i feel like it was a dissapointment it was not like how it looked like in the pictures. Bathroom is disgusting bedding is bad/ugly and when i want help they dont speak swedish and cant help me. It was a terrible experience im never coming back.

Update Jul 25 Visited again after 2 years. Same standard of rooms and breakfast as last time. New discovery is the guests kitchen where you can store your food in the fridge and use kitchen appliances to make some food. Tea and coffees and pastries available after hours for hotel guests which i think it is nice touch. Visited Jun 23 The best of this hotel it the location. Literally, city centre... walking distance to everything in the centre. We had 2 people room with banked beds, small but comfortable enough. Although, no tea/coffee option and tv had only a few channels, but free WiFi with decent speed, so you can watch streaming service anyway. Sound proofed walls. Breakfast - repetitive food every day but very tasty, and you can fill yourself for hours ahead, which for my is the most important.
