Comfort Hotel Helsingborg

WORST HOTEL EVER, DO NOT BOOK HERE (specially if you have a dog, a car or self-respect) Absolutely horrendous experience at this hotel. Starting from the fact that their listing in Booking.com is completely falsely advertised: they claim to be (1) pet friendly and (2) to have a private parking. No where it is stated that you need to pay extra fees for either, and when I got the confirmation email from the hotel, I have to pay an additional 50% of the price of the night for my dog and another 45-50% of the price for the night, for the private parking. No to mention, the reception is empty, I had to call several times to get the person to come from wherever they were to get me to register. When I had a complain about the room next to me literally throwing a party with very loud music and smoking, I called reception only to not get picked up and having to come down to look for the person.

Compared to our experience in Comfort Hotel in Malmö, this is very disappointing. To have to ring a phone to get the attention of staff just for the pleasure of checking in, is absolutely unacceptable. Reception should always be attended. Breakfast is the absolute minimum to make it "satisfactory". Rooms look as though the least amount of effort has been made. Unfortunately we will never stay here again until major changes are made.

I post this from my first impression. The Comfort Hotel is a good place to stay for an affordable price. Rooms are clean, equipped with what you expect and the personnel was friendly. I give the 3 stars not as a complaint but on an absolute scale where a top class hotel has five stars.

Nice cozy hotel, walking distance from/ to the central station, right close to the shops area. The room is clean with a nice view on the city, the bathroom is clean as well, just missing shampoo and body lotion. Breakfast is good enough except the scrambled eggs (over cooked) but overall it is a very good hotel, and I would stay there again.

Nice Hotel in the city from Helsingborg. The staff from the reception was very kindly. The room was big and clean, the bathroom a little bit older but all was clean. Breakfast was also good. Unfortunately the corona restrictions at the breakfast was not controlled.

Got central nice room with windows that can be opened 😄. Nice clean beds and plenty of space and big mirror. Building is a bit old but is nicely renovated. Breakfast area is very fresh and included in price

Rooms are decent, a bit cold during winter time but there is a radiator. The TV is locked so that you can't connect external devices (like a chromecast) and there aren't too many channels. Cleaning service is good. Breakfast is good and varied and the service during breakfast is very good. The front entrance was locked at 8 pm on a Friday and you had to ring for the staff to open it. This can be unpleasant during the winter when it's cold outside in case you have to wait around. The hotel shares parking garage with Radisson and unfortunately on our second night there was no room in the garage even though we had prepaid for a spot. This was refunded at the desk but finding a new parking spot can be a hassle if you're not familiar with the city.

+ Affordable, great location, friendly and welcoming staff, great views from our room. - Blood on towel, broken lamps, TV was small and old.

It was my third hotel in Helsingborg and it was definitely the worst one. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms are quite bad: small, very "boring" equipment, very small bathroom (and it smells quite bad). The rooms corridor reminded me on the jail (carpet does not look and smell good...). So the room made me a bit depressive! Restaurant: actually, they don´t have a restaurant. In the evening, you can choose between Lasagne (quite disgusting) and Crepes (looks very average) and eat it somewhere in the lobby or in the breakfast restaurant. At least, hot drinks in the lobby are for free. Free WiFi is available. Breakfast: was ok / average. Overall rating: definitely below average. There are a lot of other hotels in Helsingborg, try to find something else.
