Comfort Hotel Square

Room was small but cozy in a good way. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Few steps up from the reception-bar-breakfast are for the room. Not too far from the centre of the city, walking.||||I know this is not a luxury hotel but I don't see why this one and all Comfort hotels can't put at least a kettle and/or basic coffee machine in each room with some basics like teabags, coffee, milk or creamers. That and a fridge so guests can keep some milk or juice cold overnight. The fridge I can live without, but there should be basic tea/coffee making. It's not all about saving a few kroners/dollars.||||Could have had a few brighter lights especially for the desk, was a little dark in there.||||The bathroom was good but a bit strange in that if you slide the mirrors back, there's just plain glass and a view into the bedroom from the bathroom, and vice versa. ||||Very modern design with some artwork on the wall by the bed.||||I don't like the Comfort chain's idea of a 'barception' which is basically the bar and the reception combined, so they don't need so many staff. For those who have never used a 'barception' before, it may be a nice idea to cut down on cost - but when I arrive to check in, tired from a flight and airports and buses/taxis, I want to check in quickly not have to wait for the one staff member to serve people at the bar instead of checking me and others in, who had to wait. I would rather pay a bit more to get a better service. I chose the hotel based on location, not on saving a few kroner or dollars, not for one person having to do all the work of running the bar and the reception on his own. Hotels have traditions for a reason - they work!||

Excellent attention. We booked a room and due to the reservation system crashing on arrival we couldn't access the room. So the person at reception send us to a sister hotel nearby of superior category (4 stars) for no extra money. Very helpful personnel. Recommended.

An ok hotel, good area with parking below. However, nothing in the rooms e.g. a coffee machine would have made a lot of difference to my stay. Not sure if I will stay here again.

Great location (only 5 minutes walk from the harbour) and price for a nice hotel. Rooms are quite basic with no coffee facilities but in general it serves a purpose and is comfortable. Great shower by the way! Breakfast was great, had everything you needed. Andreas (Reception/Front of House) is a great host with plenty of friendly advice of local restaurants etc. Overall, well worth a stay here!

I had no problem with this hotel. Room was spotless apart from the hairdryer. Location is perfect.Supermarket round the corner for cheaper food. Also one in shopping center behind hotel.Next to the harbour.Reception was always happy snd cheerful.I rented a car from literally round the corner. Use getaround app.Breakfast was brilliant. Can't beat a bacon egg roll. Smoothie was lush as well.If I could have one thing for the room it would have to be a fridge.

Bathroom doesn't have an inside handle.. and the flush button for the toilet is behind the toilet seat. Room 327 is not ideal. Roof terrace has no rain protection. But the breakfast here is excellent.

Very friendly and efficient staff at checkin. Car parking around the corner in public underground parking. We got a very spacious corner room, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Bit odd painting behind bed. Little storage for cloths but desk to work at. No coffee making in room but available from reception. Breakfast buffet good, seating a little close to each though. Is not in centre but is an easy walk down to the harbour, but of a hill to get back but not far, and thus lower price than other hotel.

Comfortable hotel located just a five minute walk from the main attractions of Stavanger. Early check when available against a modest fee. The rooms are modern and quiet. Windows can be opened ajar. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of food and drinks.

I keep it simple if you like it a bit dirty and risky living this hotel is for you if you like it clean and not gamble when it comes to food safety then keep as far away from this hotel as you can. 3 out of 5 days the eggs and sausages and all other hot food were cold as can be and slowly heated on a heating plate where it stood all breakfast but not to any higher temperature so we ended up buying and eating breakfast in another hotel just to be on the safe side not to get food poisoning. A friend had to change room as her first room smelled like a garbage dump since the ​hotel openly says they only clean every 4 days. The hotel was generally dirty and filthy and service was poor. The bar fridge was broken for a few days and when it was fixed later during the week we asked for a coke zero they had no cold ones and the very next day there was still no one in the fridge even if asked the night before so the personally are lazy and far from service minded and even if you complain about the cold breakfast they don't know how to fix it or what to do except one blond highly energetic girl working during breakfast who was the most service minded person at the hotel that also spoke clearly Norwegian and English.

Modern, trendy and centric. A perfect place to stay if you are young, cool or hipster (...or just want to stay within walking distanc to the town center) . Foodstory is in the same building and decorations of local artist Anette Moi on the outside. What's not to love?

This hotel is nicely located just a little outside of city center in Stavanger. We found it easy to get here from city center, from the ferries at the harbor and from the bus terminal, less than a 10 minute walk to each of those spots. The service at the hotel was great. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and gave good recommendations. It seems to be a "cool" and "trendy" hotel, with breakfast going until noon and modern art throughout the hotel and in the rooms. We loved the rooms, mirrors were everywhere to make it look bigger, and there was a sliding mirror/glass window from the bathroom to the room, which was a fun feature. The Breakfast that was included and was filling, with hot and cold foods- cold cuts, smoked salmon, omelet, cucumbers, tomatoes, fruit, bread, eggs with bacon, soft and hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt and the list goes on and on. You also get free coffee throughout the day. Also, there is free WiFi in your room with a code. Overall we had a fantastic stay at comfort hotel and would come back again.
