Comfort Hotel Toyama

The hotel is just 2 mins walk from Toyama station. Across it is a shopping mall. Very convenient! Hotel has free bike to rent, easy to cycle around the place. Hotel breakfast is really good, an infusion of japanese with other cultures. And most affordable.Room amenities are basic but sufficient.The only thing I don't like is the bed. Gives me backache. There is only one thin pillow.Otherwise all good.

Stayed here a night in Toyama before embarking on the Alpine route. Familiar, comfortable room amenities as expected from the Comfort Hotel chain, with a good breakfast spread inclusive. 5 minutes walk from Toyama JR Station and 7 minutes walk with luggage from Toyama Dentetsu line to Kurobe Gorge and Tateyama. Note that you still need to bring your luggage to Dentetsu Station for luggage forwarding service, you cannot do it from the hotel. I asked for a high floor room that overlooked the station/mountains - I did get a high floor room but a side view of the building beside the hotel. Tip: buy supplies from the supermarket in the mall opposite before going up the mountains. There are also Toyama souvenirs, great eki bentos, firefly squid and white shrimp tempura tendon and black ramen in Toyama JR Station nearby.

Hotel staff service was excellent and they tried their best to help, even with their limited English. Food was a small buffet style but still very delicious. Always ate enough to start our day in Toyama. Location wise is super convenient, just a 5mins' walk from the station.

great value with complimentary breakfast. room was basic. no onsen within the compound. cleaniless of complimentary pyjamas was questionable as i developed rash after one night and switch back to my own PJs.

Very good location close to Toyama train station and to shopping malls. The buffet spread is good and yummy and they served fresh fruit/vegetables smoothie daily. They also have a coffee machine and water for you to take any time of the day. Room is standard small but beddings are good. Can get very sunny bright very early though. Highly recommended.

The location is very good, close to JR Toyama, and opposite the department store. The room is big enough and comfortable, price is cheaper than Tokyo and Osaka. The breakfast is good and delicious. We can visit Toyama castle just by walking or tram.

Pleasant place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!
