I had a really nice stay at Comfort Hotel Xpress in Oslo. The room was small but very cozy for one person and everything, including the bathroom, was spotless. It also featured a desk with a large mirror, and the bed had convenient drawers for extra storage. I was lucky to have a room with a view, and the bed itself was very cozy. The location is excellent, right next to Oslo Central Station and the main market, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The price-quality ratio is very good. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, and even though I arrived 20 minutes before the official check-in time, they kindly gave me my room key to rest. The only minor downside was that the room did not have a minibar/mini fridge, but this was not a problem for me. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for solo travelers, and I would definitely stay here again. ❤

Google
Great location and within easy walking distance of a lot of the sights and touristy areas! We stayed at the hotel for two nights as a family of three (2 adults and a toddler) and had plenty of room for us all. The room was clean and had everything needed for a weekend stay. The cot that that hotel provided was also great quality and a proper cot, not just a flimsy travel cot that a lot of hotels provide (there was a small charge for use of this at around £20 but this covered the whole stay). The only reason it’s not got 5 stars is due to the beds having quite thin mattresses so we didn’t have the best sleep unfortunately but given the price for the room and the location, this can be overlooked and we’d stay here again if we were back in Oslo.

The location was excellent—just steps from the central train station, with supermarkets and plenty of dining options nearby. We stayed in a small room at first, with a view facing another room across the way. Since we were staying for four nights, we asked to be moved to a room with a better view. The staff member was kind enough to accommodate our request, and we were much happier with the second room. Note that the hotel does not have laundry facilities.

I can't recommend this hotel enough. The location is perfect...just a short walk from the Oslo Central train station and major sights like the opera house. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. The hotel itself is modern and stylish, and our room was spotless and comfortable with a great shower. The self check-in process was smooth and simple, and every staff member we met was wonderfully kind and helpful. The free luggage storage was a huge bonus for our delayed flight, which made our last day stress-free. Highly recommend!

Google
Very good location, close to everything. The room was spacious and clean. The service was minimal. We were on the off streetside it was quiet. One funny thing was the windows had a screen on the outside, it opened and closed a few times during the day, did not figure out who controlled the switch. The elevator was noticeably fast. No breakfast was a minus, but there are many 7-eleven, Narvesen and coffee shops nearby to grab a quick bite.

Google
Positive: The location was perfect, near the opera house and lots of shops and restaurants. The rooms were nice and the heated bathroom floor was awesome. Negative: They have a late check in time, compared to other hotels. If you arrive before that time, they will charge you extra even if the room is available. It’s an added revenue generator for the hotel.

Google
Good location in the middle of the city. Rooms are small but clean. Even a small table so it is possible to work from laptop there.|They charged me NOK 200 extra for checking in before 15.00, which is the first time I have ever experienced. So if you arrive early, be prepared that they add extra for that or choose another hotel.

Google
Positives:||It is brilliantly situated in regards to public transport. The Central Station is only a few minutes away, as well as being close to the tram system.||The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They made the stay so enjoyable.||The room was spacious and clean. I was on the 6th floor and had a lovely view of Central Station and the surrounding square. ||I didn't experience any noise disturbance from internal or external neighbours. ||Negatives:||There was no kettle in the room to make a morning coffee/tea which was disappointing.||The double bed had two single duvets on it which made no sense as hotel knew only I was staying. ||There were only two flimsy, small pillows on the bed which sufficed but were not really adequate. ||I am disappointed and surprised at this. Sadly, I cannot give five stars because of this. I would consider staying here again though as an option.

Yelp
I stayed at the Comfort Hotel Xpress Central Station in Oslo and thought it was a really solid choice. The location honestly can't be beat since it's right across from the central station, which makes getting around Oslo (and even to the airport) super easy. You're also within walking distance of the Opera House, Karl Johans gate, and lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and straightforward. Check-in is done at self-service kiosks, which was quick and painless, and the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. My room was on the smaller side, but it was well designed with good storage, a comfortable bed, and a nice shower. Wi-Fi worked perfectly too. A couple of things to keep in mind: this isn't a full-service hotel. There's no daily housekeeping unless you ask, and there's no restaurant on site, just a breakfast bag you can buy or snacks at the "barception." If you want more variety, there are great bakeries and cafés right outside. Also, if you're sensitive to noise, ask for a courtyard-facing room since the station area can be lively at night. Overall, I'd say this place is perfect if you want a clean, affordable, and super central base in Oslo without paying for extras you might not need. I'd definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Easy self check-in kiosk and you can make your own key and let yourself into the room. No waiting in line to talk to a receptionist. Oddly enough, the barista/bartender apparently serves as the hotel receptionist too, but you might not always spot the person there. We took the elevator to the 7th floor and entered the room. We had a little difficulty finding how to turn on the lights. We had to put the key card that we just made into a panel on the wall and push down hard so that it was seated properly. Once in, the wall switches and lamps worked. Bathroom/shower is one big room. No curtain, but it was easy to contain the water in the corner and not get it everywhere. The balcony is awesome. the view directly across is a parking garage, but the balcony itself is nice wood plank with evergreens in planters and cute modern chairs. I enjoyed hanging out on our rooftop patio and cleaning up before catching the midnight train to Bergen. This place was so close to the train station too. We were able to walk there with our suitcases in tow with ease. I would certainly recommend this place for the high tech, independent traveler that just needs a clean, simple place to crash for a few hours before heading back out for more adventures.

Yelp
Overall, it was good. Clean rooms. Decent service. The shower was a bit odd that it wasn't sealed so water creeped into the rest of the bathroom, but it was manageable. Self-check in and getting into the room was a breeze. Very convenient to the central train station. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Oslo, and Norway in general, is an expensive place to visit, but this hotel was a great deal! Price: Awesome! Only $109/night for Friday and Saturday in May. Location: Awesome! Right next to Oslo S train station, Tram, and Metro. Also just far away enough to be quiet at night. Cleanliness: Awesome! Hotel is so new the sign wasn't even on Google Street View yet. Staff: "Barception" hipster guy, worked as a bartender and reception. was nice enough and the only employee we saw the entire time. Check is automated on tablet. We had trouble with the keycard at first, but the Barception guy fixed it quickly. Room: Basic rooms are small, modern, clean, and just enough space for two people, and perfect for a solo traveler. The bed was quiet small too. So if you're a larger couple, you're want to upgrade to a superior room. The bed is also positioned in a way that with one person having to crawl over the other if he/she has to pee in the middle of the night. But for the price, in Norway, we quickly overlooked this issue. No breakfast, but that is expected at this price. Great for budget travelers or solo travelers! (Note: At time of this review, the US dollar was up 50% against the Norway kroner...$1 = 7.5kr vs $1 = 5kr just a couple years ago)

Yelp
Upon checking into this hotel, I was notified that there would be some construction around the building and that it wouldn't be disturbing guests. It also says on the flyer outside that said construction won't start before 8am. I'm now on day 5 of my stay here, and they have started construction at 7am every day, and I have been woken up my a hammer hitting the wall directly behind me as my room borders the elevator shaft. When I mentioned it to the front desk this morning they said there's nothing they can do. An incredibly disappointing reality as I'm completely unable to sleep in on my summer vacation.
