I stayed there for 3 nights last weekend, my compact double room was perfect for myself as a solo traveler. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, same as towels and sheets. Only one TV channel available (Swedish one) which didn't bother me at all. Bathroom had 2 large towels and 2 small ones, shower pressure was great and at a perfect temperature. Google map hasn't been updated, don't follow the closest route from Central Station (9 mins walk) as there is massive road works at the moment and the street is close, go for the one that is on the left hand side of the screen, the one that takes 10 mins.|It's in a safe area and technically in the city centre. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because the door wouldn't lock when leaving the room, I tried everything and the card wouldn't lock it. I left a spare card I had and let it in the room with the lights and TV on bc I wasn't sure if it was safe to leave the door unlocked, I didn't have the energy to deal with this with reception people.

Absolutely lovely and comfortable. It's a perfect place for a night stay. Very central, easy to find, self check in is available and they're supporting sustainability. We stayed in a double bed room. It was very clean. Only problem was that there was a noise at night, like a ventilation or heating system, getting very loud. The lounge area in the entrance is more futuristic or youngster 😄 comparing to conventional hotels. Feels more like a cozy café, where you can sit, have a coffee and read a book or study. Based on the price, in Oslo sentrum, it is a heaven. 👼

I can't speak much to their service or their other amenities, but someone was there to let me in when I arrived at three in the morning on Monday, because of a delayed flight, so I think the service is probably pretty good. They offer very reasonably priced rooms with very decent standards for the price, as far as I can tell. An excellent hotel for staying overnight, and probably also a very good base camp for seeing much of Oslo, if you come as a tourist.

The location is ideal. The standard room is a good size, very clean, with adjustable heating, and the shower is hot and powerful. The lifts work well, serving odd and even floors separately. There's a small gym on-site and a lounge area equipped with useful amenities, plus free coffee near reception. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Room comfort and hotel location was excellent. The vibe of the hotel was also positive as there were ping pong tables and other games in the basement as well as the very helpful and nice front desk staff. I dinged the hotel as they did not allow you to check in before 4 PM and charged to stow bags. I’m not sure this is standard practice in Norway but it is not a customer friendly policy…in fact it serves to make people mad. The only exception was if you are a member of their rewards program. The nice young lady offered to sign me up which precluded any charges to check in early or stow bags. Other than that I recommend just understand that is the deal. About a 10-15 minute walk to the central train station.

From the hotel it's easy to walk to some of the main tourist attractions and main streets with many supermarkets and convenience stores around. Our twin room was a little small and didn't have a kettle or fridge, otherwise it was nice and quiet and I slept very well. (A kettle and fridge plus microwave and laundry facilities were available in a shared/public space in the hotel)

Google
Great location. Polite and helpful staff. Our room was great; spacious, includes TV, etc. We stayed in september and the room was a bit stuffy / hot still, I can only imagine how summer is. They claim to have central ventilation but it very clearly doesnt work. Major construction outside the hotel makes it hard to open the windows (they start early). The "Laundromat" is just a very small washer and dryer that is in the cafe downstairs. Elevators were a bit rough, they are very small and seem to have issues. Several times we just took the stairs instead. Overall it was a good stay, but could use some improvements.

Google
This hotel has a good location, making it convenient for exploring the city. Most staff were welcoming and helpful. However, it’s more of a basic place to sleep rather than a comfortable stay—amenities like an electric kettle, tissues, slippers, and toiletries (toothbrush, etc.) were missing. If you just need a simple, no-frills stay in a good spot, it works.

Yelp
If you want a "relatively" cheaper hotel stay in Oslo (although still expensive by other European city standards) this is one of the options from a select few in Central Oslo. It is walking distance from most tourist locations in Central Oslo and from Central Oslo station. There were a few negatives. We were astonished and very amused by the money-making tactics of this hotel and hence poor customer service. We arrived 15 mins before check-in time and were told that there is a 100 NOK charge to check in 15 mins early! I was speechless! The room itself was ok. The exhaust fan and hand wash dispenser in the bathroom was broken and the latter was a problem in a small space. I asked for a backyard facing room as recommended here to reduce noise. However, I still could hear loud music on the weekend.

Yelp
The room and bathroom were clean, modern and somewhat quiet. The mattress and the bedding were comfortable. That's all we needed basically. But the hotel definitely does not deserve a 5 stars. Location: Not bad. It's walkable from the train station. We arrived late at night so no tram was available. The closest tram station is about a 5 minute walk. The location is kind of in a commercial/industrial area where there aren't many shops around. It was not easy to find especially when it's getting dark. The map brought us to the bottom of an overpass and we're like, WTF!? Turns out we had to go up the stairs to get to the overpass and the hotel is located on that street. Service: There is no housekeeping service. Any extra towel costs money. They nickel and dime you so if you stay here for a long time the charges might add up. They were at least quite friendly on the phone. The check out process was not fast. The staff that was there on our check out day didn't seem to know what she's doing with the guests in front of us. It took her a long time before she could check us out. Decor: It's hip and modern! The elevators are tiny but at least they're there! Our double room was big enough for a bed, a desk, a chair, a TV. We didn't have a closet though, just hooks to hang our clothes. The bathroom was clean and modern, but the lack of shower door caused splashes on the floor (and they won't replace your floor towel for free!) Overall, for the price, it wasn't a bad stay. I'm not sure if all hotels in Oslo are like that. It's just really strange how they nickel and dime you for housekeeping like that.

Yelp
The decor is very hip, modern, young traveler used to a cool hostel vibe. Rooms were clean but small. The shower has no door and is very small which means your entire bathroom floor is going to be soaked after the first shower (and you're given a tiny, very thin towel as a bathmat). Bed was VERY comfy with a very nice blanket. We were here for New Years Eve and the most delightful thing was that they have a rooftop and they kept it open so we could go out and watch the fireworks in the city (it was FREEZING and icy up there though). The location is a bit far from the train station and I didn't realize there were other Comfort Hotels even closer to the hotel. But, the walk was do-able and I have no idea if the decor at the other locations is comparable - I really did love the decor here. Once you have your luggage in the room, it's very easy to walk around the city from here so I don't regret booking this one. I'm reading through other people's reviews because I'm really surprised this place has an average 3.5. I would have thought a minimum 4.5 stars. But here are some points that I didn't think were that significant: 1) the toilet seat really is the most uncomfortable ever - square and sharp just as someone else said. 2) self check-in really didn't work well because the hotel key wouldn't swipe correctly. In the end someone had to help us out but I thought it was just our issue. 3) the door was REALLY hard to open, we thought our key wasn't working but the door was just stuck. We were only here one night so I can't really say how it felt to stay in a place that only does housecleaning every five days. I imagine it would have really bothered me by the second day, since the towels do not look like they'd dry very easily. Overall, I thought the price of the room was reasonable, we got more than I was expecting, it felt relatively luxurious, and since we were only here one day, we didn't rack up any extra charges.

Yelp
This is not a complete review, since I did not stay here. I was here solely to play pinball. This place usually has three pins, but at the time (early July 2013) part of the lobby was under construction and the game room was spread apart. They now have just one machine - AC/DC premium. For the hotel I must say this must be the perfect place if you are on a budget and still want to stay in Sentrum. You get what you pay for so don't expect it to be a hotel. In the basement there is a huge lunch room with micro wave ovens. The neighbor hood is safe, but rough looking. I did not get the wifi to work even if I had the password. Maybe you need to be checked in. (I respect that!) My stars are for the location and for having pinball machines and game room.

Yelp
I chose this hotel because it was among the cheapest in Oslo, and I have to say that the modern style, rooftop terrace, clean and comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff made this a choice I couldn't possibly regret. I followed the directions they gave me, and I looked on google maps in advance (no service in Norway for me), and I had no trouble spotting it from across the street. I would have passed right by it, however, had I been walking on the same side of the street (if you're walking from the direction of the train station, as I was, and you get to the little church on your right hand side, you've gone too far). The snacks and accoutrements offered in the lobby were expensive, as is everything in Oslo, but the price on the hotel room is worth it.

Yelp
My sister and I visited Oslo in April and booked at the Comfort Hotel Xpress. Our room was very clean and the pictures on the website are very accurate representation of the set up. We had a bit of a travel snafu on our second day in Oslo - we missed our train to Bergen. We tried to get a hotel a little closer to the train station, with no luck. We showed up back at the Comfort Hotel Xpress and they thankfully were able to accommodate us. The staff was so friendly and we found the location convenient for what we wanted to see :)

Yelp
I was not impressed with this hotel. I don't like the "too cool" attitude of the staff and for a budget friendly hotel you definitely get what you pay for, which is a bed and a roof over your head. It cost us 150 NOK to check in before 3pm. The room was a good size but they only give you one small, flat pillow each and two separate blankets on a double bed. The bathroom was a nice size but the door was glass and did not shut for privacy. There is no closet or anywhere to put your things, all you get are a few hooks on the wall. The only redeeming qualities for this hotel are the free wi-fi and the decent location. Location wasn't great, but we felt safe walking around at night and it is walking distance to all of the major sites in Oslo.

Yelp
Great experience with this hotel! Modern, clean room, free WiFi, gym at a convenient location for a reasonable price. Most importantly, the staff here is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Awesome, fresh funky vibes. The Staff were super cool and helpful, would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable departure from the sterility of most hotels! More of a home vibe than a hotel.

Yelp
Finding this hotel was a cluster fuck. The sign wasn't very visible and once we did find it, we doubted it cause the lobby didn't look like a hotel lobby. It looked like boring hippie/yuppie poetry club. Checking in was confusing as the lobby was partying with the staff (couldn't tell who actually worked there), and we were to check in on tablets. The rooms were dark and tiny. The toilet was the most uncomfortable seat EVER. Square and sharpish (no clue how to describe it). There was no door to the shower so there it was impossible to shower without SOAKING the entire bathroom (towels, clothes, toiletpaper). Breakfast was not offered. I am giving three stars because the staff was friendly. In the morning, after the party was over, they were eager to help with directions and recommendations. The rooms were clean, but the atmosphere was a step up from a hostel.
