Comfort Inn & Suites, Campbell River

Stayed in an ocean view king bed suite for two nights. Really happy with our stay. Three of us in the room so used the sofa bed, which was fine. ||The room also had a small kitchen area and fridge so useful for making up packed lunches to take out for the day. ||The room itself was very clean and a good size. Had a nice balcony overlooking the river so interesting to see the ferry come and go and get to see the cruise ships pass by. ||Breakfast had all we needed - choice of toast/ muffins, yoghurt, fruit, waffles etc plus some eggs and bacon. They had some gluten free muffins and bread which my wife asked for. ||There is a small swimming pool and a small gym but didn't use these. Check in desk staff were helpful and pleasant - sorted us out some extra bedding straight away when we asked for it. ||All in, a good stay. Would recommend.

Comfort Inn across Canada is pretty strongly 4/5...I am not a fake review. I have used this brand in Alta, N.S., N.B., NFL. I like that the consistent standard is upheld. The breakfast is rather plain...but after spending $40 in a restaurant inside a Best Western, and $30 for valet parking in downtown Victoria..... I would Gladly choose a Comfort Inn -- with free parking and breakfast. The staff at the desk were friendly. I called ahead for storage for Ebikes- they were locked in a back cupboard! 👍. The many types of hot beverages machine near the desk was Great. Partial water view 4th floor. Beds were comfortable. Tons of channels on the TV. Rooms have been updated...but rubber mat for the tub to prevent slipping. My sister and I stayed 2 nights. We walked 2 blocks...(across the main street) to catch the 10 min ferry to Quadra Island and biked! From hotel, Walkable fast food restaurants x 4 one way x 4 another way. Near a main road...but quiet at night. We were Very pleased with our stay.

After chopping and changing hotels, this was by far my best decision. The hotel is impressive as you enter and you can gaze out on the Campbell River while eating breakfast. Very friendly staff, clean room and comfortable. We stayed two nights either side of a whale watching trip. Easy to find, free parking and a short walk along the sea front for our favourite two restaurants, Moxies and Riptide. Thank you everyone for a very good stay at your hotel. One minor hiccup, we booked a two queen room, but ended up in a king sized bed. Not a problem for us.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites for a family visit and had a wonderful experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. Loved the West Coast designs, including the mirrors surrounded by wood. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a family stay. The kids especially loved the pool, and it was a great way to unwind after our busy days. Breakfast was included and had a good variety—something for everyone in the family to enjoy. There are also several breakfast places nearby - we ate at Miki's Western Breakfast right next store. It was delicious. The location was very convenient, close to everything we needed, and the parking was easy. Overall, it was a stress-free, comfortable stay that made our family trip that much smoother. We’ll definitely stay again.

Great hotel. Staff was very pleasant at front desk check in. Clean room. Pretty good food. I would've appreciated the weekend breakfast to be open earlier. Location was great. Restaurants nearby. Even though the staff was very pleasant, it was a bit stressful at check-in. I had phoned in my reservation because I needed a ground floor and a pet room for my dog. When I arrived at the hotel, they did NOT have a pet room for me. The front desk person had to do quite a bit of juggling with rooms to try and get me a pet room. Thankfully it worked out, as they were fully booked, but after a long day of traveling with your pet, it was a bit stressful. If you ever reserve here, make sure you get confirmation of a pet room.

This is the kind of hotel where everything is great. The check in was smooth, the staff was always friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the room clean. There was a nice sunset view. The breakfast was very complete. The location was good, with food options and a laundromat nearby.

Great facilities in the room except no safe. Very welcoming staff. Huge thank you to the lady doing a terrific job providing the daily breakfast with what appeared limited resources. Very near the port for day trips.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can't recommend it enough! The room was beautifully designed and spacious, providing plenty of room for my 2-year-old to explore safely. It was impeccably clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary breakfast—delicious and varied, it was the perfect way to start our day. We also took advantage of the hot tub, which was a delightful way to unwind, especially since the pool was a bit chilly for our liking. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning in the future!

The hotel was clean. The breakfast was pretty basic. Some of the hard boiled eggs were rotten. The room was spacious. The real bummer is being right downtown and having walk past the homeless camps to go get dinner or a couple beers without driving. Most of the homeless seemed nice, but a few were pretty sketchy. It was a little uncomfortable walking late at night.

A fresh and well-kept property. Good staffing. Ample parking. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was as expected for this class of hotel.

Stayed in the Comfort Inn for three nights. Great hotel, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Free breakfast every morning. Definitely recommend. Will come back.

This is a very clean hotel. The parking lot was pretty full so we had to park in the back. The surrounding area is full of nearby restaurants and gas stations. The entrance of the hotel was clean. It was quiet upon entering and the receptionist was friendly. She was able to quickly check us in without any difficulty. I would say we spent less then three minutes checking in. There was lemon water and coffee in the lobby that is accessible to the guests. The hotel has WiFi. The room was very clean and organized. We had a two queen bed room. The bathroom is spacious, the comforters and sheets were clean and I love that it has our own private balcony!!! There is also a one seater couch, a desk, television, and good lighting in the rooms. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Wonderful stay, no complaints.

First time staying here and I loved it! The front desk staff to the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious and it was very quiet even though we are right beside the town. We were just minutes from many restaurants and stores. And the lady who cooked the continental breakfast was gracious under pressure of providing dood for a full hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

The Comfort Inn & Suites Campbell River is supposed to be a pet friendly property but when I arrived with my dog they said that because I did not "select" a pet friendly room that they could not check me in. I booked through booking.com and there was NO SUCH choice AT ALL!!! How was this my fault? The girl was RUDE and unhelpful and would not make any exceptions despite my dog being tame, kind and never sheds a hair! When I protested they threatened to call the cops. I am enraged at the horrible service I received and being denied a room just because I am a pet owner! Horrible place, avoid at all costs!!!
