Comfort Inn & Suites, Campbell River

Stayed in an ocean view king bed suite for two nights. Really happy with our stay. Three of us in the room so used the sofa bed, which was fine. ||The room also had a small kitchen area and fridge so useful for making up packed lunches to take out for the day. ||The room itself was very clean and a good size. Had a nice balcony overlooking the river so interesting to see the ferry come and go and get to see the cruise ships pass by. ||Breakfast had all we needed - choice of toast/ muffins, yoghurt, fruit, waffles etc plus some eggs and bacon. They had some gluten free muffins and bread which my wife asked for. ||There is a small swimming pool and a small gym but didn't use these. Check in desk staff were helpful and pleasant - sorted us out some extra bedding straight away when we asked for it. ||All in, a good stay. Would recommend.

After chopping and changing hotels, this was by far my best decision. The hotel is impressive as you enter and you can gaze out on the Campbell River while eating breakfast. Very friendly staff, clean room and comfortable. We stayed two nights either side of a whale watching trip. Easy to find, free parking and a short walk along the sea front for our favourite two restaurants, Moxies and Riptide. Thank you everyone for a very good stay at your hotel. One minor hiccup, we booked a two queen room, but ended up in a king sized bed. Not a problem for us.

This is the kind of hotel where everything is great. The check in was smooth, the staff was always friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the room clean. There was a nice sunset view. The breakfast was very complete. The location was good, with food options and a laundromat nearby.

We stayed here as a family for two nights and booked two rooms 404-406. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. One person who truly made our stay exceptional was Andrew. On our second day, we experienced an issue with our room keys, and Andrew stepped in without hesitation. His response was immediate, and he handled the situation with an impressive level of professionalism, urgency, and care. Knowing we were in a rush, he personally took the stairs to assist us directly—something he didn’t have to do, but chose to, simply because he genuinely wanted to help. He remained calm, courteous, and attentive throughout the entire interaction, turning what could have been a frustrating situation into a moment of excellent service. Andrew went far beyond simply doing his job. He showed patience, clear communication, and a level of personal dedication that left a lasting impression on all of us. He truly cared about our experience, and his kindness and work ethic were felt in every interaction we had with him. We also want to sincerely thank Harsh, the manager on duty, who was just as supportive and involved. She didn’t hesitate to step in and help, providing excellent leadership and ensuring everything was resolved smoothly. Harsh’s calm, confident presence and collaborative approach added a sense of reassurance, and it was clear she truly cares about her team and the guests. Her active participation alongside Andrew showed strong leadership and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. Additionally, the housekeeping team did an outstanding job—our rooms were consistently clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety of fresh, well-prepared options to start each day. Thanks to Andrew, Harsh, the housekeeping team, and the entire staff for their incredible hospitality. We felt truly cared for, and their dedication made our stay memorable. We look forward to returning again on our next visit.

Normally stay at Coast for work but they were booked and Comfort Inn made sure they were same rate and had availability. Staff was great at check in and check out (K, James and Baljeet) there was pool and hot tub and breakfast was tasty. Will be coming here from now on and will tell my colleagues.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. We especially loved the upgrade to a suit. The patio view was awesome. Great location. Continental breakfast had more options than most. We will be back.

OMG! The beds....so soft, clean best sleep I've had in a hotel ever. Stop with all you can eat complete continental breakfast hot waffles, toast, sausages, fruit, cereal on and on. The only negative experience was we didn't feel safe especially at night out walking the dog or early morning. There is an unfortunate homeless situation downtown and it's right outside the hotel.

This Hotel truly is a great place to stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Free parking with cameras watching over your car. Friendly staff. Free breakfast was very good. Everyone loves waffles! I have stayed in many hotels in Campbell River and this one was by far the best one. The vietnamese restaurant across the street is amazing. I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel was clean. The breakfast was pretty basic. Some of the hard boiled eggs were rotten. The room was spacious. The real bummer is being right downtown and having walk past the homeless camps to go get dinner or a couple beers without driving. Most of the homeless seemed nice, but a few were pretty sketchy. It was a little uncomfortable walking late at night.

A fresh and well-kept property. Good staffing. Ample parking. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was as expected for this class of hotel.

Stayed in the Comfort Inn for three nights. Great hotel, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Free breakfast every morning. Definitely recommend. Will come back.

This is a very clean hotel. The parking lot was pretty full so we had to park in the back. The surrounding area is full of nearby restaurants and gas stations. The entrance of the hotel was clean. It was quiet upon entering and the receptionist was friendly. She was able to quickly check us in without any difficulty. I would say we spent less then three minutes checking in. There was lemon water and coffee in the lobby that is accessible to the guests. The hotel has WiFi. The room was very clean and organized. We had a two queen bed room. The bathroom is spacious, the comforters and sheets were clean and I love that it has our own private balcony!!! There is also a one seater couch, a desk, television, and good lighting in the rooms. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Wonderful stay, no complaints.

First time staying here and I loved it! The front desk staff to the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious and it was very quiet even though we are right beside the town. We were just minutes from many restaurants and stores. And the lady who cooked the continental breakfast was gracious under pressure of providing dood for a full hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

The Comfort Inn & Suites Campbell River is supposed to be a pet friendly property but when I arrived with my dog they said that because I did not "select" a pet friendly room that they could not check me in. I booked through booking.com and there was NO SUCH choice AT ALL!!! How was this my fault? The girl was RUDE and unhelpful and would not make any exceptions despite my dog being tame, kind and never sheds a hair! When I protested they threatened to call the cops. I am enraged at the horrible service I received and being denied a room just because I am a pet owner! Horrible place, avoid at all costs!!!
