Front desk ladies were awesome and accommodating. I was a bit uneasy when one of the people loitering at the front of the property followed me upstairs and observed which room I went into.(There are lifts, so somebody except me - who has claustrophobia - using stairs not lifts is weird). There was a chain and lock on the door, so felt better. The car park sign warned it wasn't safe to use it before 7 am or after 10 am. The stairs smelled of urine. The room was old and basic but spacious. The TV didn't work properly. The air-conditioning worked well. There was barely any hot water coming from the shower. The non-smoking floor smelled of smoke in the corridor. I got up early and found I wasn't alone: 6 cockroaches - 2 bathroom, 2 kitchen, 2 bedroom. The was a basic cooked breakfast at $25, but you would have to stop thinking about where the roaches come from in order to eat it. I checked out. The concierge ladies were nice and just charged for one night, thus refunding the rest of the stay.

The room was worth the price it's typically listed for. Think motel in the middle of nowhere, but somehow transported to the city. I would have enjoyed it more if the aircon wasn't noisy, if the bed was nice, and if I didn't need to worry about steam escaping the bathroom. There were no power points next to the bed to charge a phone, but the bed was on wheels so can be rolled over to be next the desk. The TV has a light when off. It lights up the whole room like a night light unless you can find the plug hidden behind the TV. The fluoro light in the bathroom was unflattering.

Staff were friendly, we got secure undercover parking for our rental car (limited spaces), room was old but really clean and had a decent amount of kitchen stuff. Aircon was good and quiet, I found the bed comfortable but the sofa was definitely not. Tv was on the smaller side and nothing but local free to air. World's smallest bathroom but good water pressure.

660 for 2 nights. I live in Sydney and traveled into Perth for a funeral, the room was grim, the air con was leaking water onto the bed, the iron stained my husbands shirt he was trying to iron for the funeral straight up poured out rusted filth water onto his brand new white shirt, microwave was dirty as was the tiles on the floor in used the team towel in the room to wipe up the floor and it came back black.. When we arrived onto our floor via the lift the smell made my eyes water, B.O mixed with air fresher, the room smelled aswell but not as bad as the corridor.

Last minute booking. Visiting from UK. Staff were very accommodating & let us check in early so we could sleep. Very clean room, had everything we needed. Added bonus, on site parking! Would definitely stay again

A very tired hotel now. Rooms definitely need renovating. Our cooktop was dirty and the carpet is gross. For the price they charge, I expected better. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is good value.

Front desk service was great and the room is clean, but that is where it ends. The TV is the size of a monitor and cupboards don’t close and hasn’t been upgraded for over 10-15 years. A bit picky but they want a review. Had dinner in their restaurant which was a very bad experience. Ordered glass of wine, garlic bread and nachos. Had to go and ask for my wine with only one other person in restaurant. Out came the garlic bread, and the butter was still solid and cold. Sent back and it came back just melted. Nachos came out next, about a tablespoon of sauce and dry as a nuns… added chicken which was from a processed packet, not a fresh cooked piece of chicken. Seriously, how hard is it to cook the most basic meal. Very disappointed with the restaurant and will never eat there again. Get a chef not a cook (if you can even call them that??) that is why your restaurant was empty and I’m sure you are not making profit in that area. Again at this stage, the front desk service has been great so very happy with that service, but I will not be sending any of my team/ staff to this hotel in the future.

Close to CBD, and easy to take neighboring free buses. The building is a little of age. People are nice both in the front desk and service sector. One thing I do not understand is that the genitor knocked my door every morning before 9, just to ensure if I need my room clean. The food was good at the lobby restaurant. I had salmon dish.

Yelp
Perth seems to suffer from the same affliction of any mining town - a massive shortage of accommodation and high demand leading to sky high prices. The Goodearth is a good example of how this plays out - $250+ a night for a comfortable but unremarkable room in an aging hotel. There was nothing particularly wrong with the place it was just an older hotel charging high prices because it can. However, the wi-fi prices in the room were ridiculous. This is an area of constant price gouging in Australian hotels. Free wifi is a basic human right! Especially considering the room price. There is gold to be made in mining...if you own a hotel.

Yelp
Stayed for a week while my home was renovated. Had a pretty good experience. No dramas. All good
