Comfort Inn & Suites Sombrero

For the price it was OK, but was expecting a bit more. I found the location to be great and very convenient. A short bus ride to the city and a reasonable distance to other places of interest. The room I had, which was a standard double room was right next to Main North Road, and the traffic along this road is relentless - lots of trucks, and souped up cars. It was very loud, and even with earplugs I had trouble sleeping. The room itself was quite old and had a musty smell to it. The carpet was stained and in desperate need of replacing. Cobwebs and a large spider found in the corner by the bed along with excess dust around the windows suggest a thorough clean and dusting is required. There was exposed brickwork that had a scrunched up tissue covering old electrical cabling. The room is supplied with a microwave, toaster and a jug along with plates and cutlery. Which were appreciated, however there is no sink so you have to use the bathroom vanity to fill up the jug, and to wash the dishes which I found to be unpractical. I understood that they were at max capacity and my stay was short, so I did not feel the need to mention these directly to the staff - who were great by the way. Very friendly. But if I was staying longer I may have requested another room, or discuss what refund options would be available.

Value for money and enjoyable 3-star motel. King room was comfortable and clean. Asked for a quiet room and had a perfect nights sleep, although rooms with windows facing the main road would be noisy. The pool was in need of a clean and had a lot of bugs gathering, but the motel staff were looking to get it cleaned.

Have stayed here many times. Very clean rooms, friendly staff, comfy beds, awesome hot water for showers. I normally book an appartment which comes equipped with washing machine & dryer which is extremely handy for us. Staff are always pleasant & easy to deal with. Going back in a couple weeks, very good value for money

Negative: Pool too cold even on a 42 degree day. Room had flies and mozzies Shower was unusable Positive: Room size was good Aircon was amazing Apartment was stocked! Great location

We were given a smaller than booked room for the 1st night and it was disgusting 🫣 bed like a brick. Bathroom too small and squished, one couldn't even wipe their bum! Complained to reception in the morning and got moved to the King suite, which we should've had in the 1st place! Much better for roominess in both the room itself and the bathroom. See photos

Was searching for a 2 bedroom apartment/hotel on the northern side/suburbs of Adelaide and was quite disillusioned with either the price of places or the very limited options and availability. Comfort Inn Sombrero ticked all the boxes for location, price and suitability. The apartment had everything needed for a comfortable 2 night stay and the queen bed was by far the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in while staying at hotels/motels. Plenty of parking and very happy with the security gates providing secure after hours card access.

The rooms are a bit outdated but clean. The staff was super helpful and that's always a bonus. Overall, a decent place to stay for a night or 2:)

Booked in through choice, was told once i got there that there was people in there the night before that complained of a gas smell, they were to get it looked at. They saved me a room incase. Went in did not like the smell so took room 50 instead. The rooms are pretty big, however that rooms bed was so uncomfortable i could not sleep. |Did go and let staff know and was moved to room 46, bed was a lot better but once again uncomfy. Was then told was being moved yet again, they even rang me when i was out with my son, why are you not using that bed, question after question. We moved to room 26 in the rain, thank you to the cleaner who lent us her umbrella. Room 26 had a comfortable bed. |It’s a hit and miss with what room you get i guess. |But did like the location, the rooms was all pretty spacious. Staff was nice i will give them that. However due to the moving rooms so much, I don’t think i would go back. I booked previous with plenty of time so thought i would not be stuffed around moving so much, spent my relaxing holiday time mainly moving rooms.
