This place is old and run down for sure. The furniture, windows and flooring appear to have been here since they built the place. Could definitely use a makeover but the breakfast was surprisingly decent and the employees are nice. For the price? Not great. But it wasn't a bad experience. The TV was good, the bathroom was clean, and it had all the usual things you could need like a microwave, fridge, iron, etc. If you need to stop for some sleep here before getting to Vegas or Reno, this is a pretty good hotel. I felt safe here with my family. It isn't attracting creepy visitors so that's good.

Driving from Oregon to visit my parents in St. George, Utah. My passenger was my dog. I drove until I got tired. The front desk agent was very nice. I was assigned a room on the top floor. I was excited to take a hot shower and get some rest. I got my things ready for my shower. The bathroom was filthy. Dirt on back of toilet and sink also had dirt . The counter was stained and there were no towels. I was really tired, so washed my face and went to lay down. The bed cover had stains and smelled very unpleasant. I called the front desk. The man said he would have towels brought up and bring new bedding. I waited over an hour and no towels. I called again and once again the front desk assured me they would take care of it. I tried to close the curtains. They were ripped and didn’t cover the window. To add to the nightmare a huge light was right outside my window. A big mercury light that lit the entire parking lot and made my room brighter than a sunny day. The light remained on all night. I was afraid to sleep in the bed, and with the spotlight on couldn’t find a dark spot in the room. ||As if the conditions of the room weren’t bad enough, employees used that floor to party. ||I departed wheeling my bags with my dog in tow. Behind the front desk was a woman and two men who basically stared at me and never said a word. ||Two days after my departure, I noticed that I had some strange charges on my credit card. I called my bank to find out what they were. 24 hours after leaving Tonopah the hotel charged me an additional $200. At 11:35 pm and another $200. At 11:45. I immediately phoned the hotel and the front desk said that I had left the room in disrepair. The second charge was for smoking in the room. I don’t smoke, and I couldn’t have made that room any worse if I tried. I asked to speak a manager. The manager said that those were the charges and if I had a problem to call corporate. I called corporate and got a complete run around and treated like a liar. ||So to sum up I was charged over $600.00 for the worst service and the worst room I have ever stayed. ||To this day, I have not received so much as an acknowledgment of the fraudulent charges, the filthy room nor the nasty front desk staff. ||I would have been more comfortable trying to sleep sitting in my car.||Worst hotel experience of my life. Scary and dirty. Anyplace would be a better experience.

We bought this room to break up a 12 hour trip to see my mother who’s in the hospital. We checked into a full hotel, our room had no working TV & no shampoo and when I asked for shampoo the Guy said to me oh you’d be amazed at what we run out of.. I’m paying $210 for a room that I can’t shower in or watch TV with my granddaughter. This is completely unacceptable and I better get a dang good refund! Also I’m calling corporate.

This is the second time I've stayed at this property. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean with standard amenities and the bed was very comfortable. It is situated next to a busy highway with truck traffic. This time I had a room on the street side but noise seemed to be minimal. Included breakfast had the normal fare.

Overall, this was a great pit stop on a long road trip. For the price it was a great stop. Room was clean and simple, bed was more comfortable than expected for this price. The only negative on the room was that the curtains don't close, only the sheers close. The was a bit of road noise all night and some heavy drapes that close would likely have helped with that as well as the visibility issue (at night).breakfast was simple but had the basics, fruit, eggs, potatoes, waffles, etc.

Great room, clean & quiet with plenty of space. The staff provided excellent customer service. The breakfast was very good and the coffee outstanding. And the price was very reasonable. This will be our first choice on all future visits through this area.

Upon entering the hotel, I found it very uninviting. The entire breakfast, gathering area was out of service. The chairs were up on the table. When I asked why, I was told they leave it that way until morning.|When entering our room one of the people in my party needed to use the restroom. The toilet was out of commission. We then changed rooms. |In the next room, the toilet had not been cleaned, feces remained on the bowl sides. There were bugs in the light fixtures. There were black hairs on the sheets. Mirrors were not cleaned. The water faucet in the bath vanity leaked excessively. |That was just a few things in our room.|The hallways unheated and unbelievable. The paint was unlike anything I have ever seen. The paint was over the baseboards, over the trim, the room signs. Apparently, it had just been painted as evident by the masking tape still remaining. The heater in the hall had a makeshift piece of cardboard/duct tape replacing the original heated cover piece. |I could go on. The property was unacceptable, IMO :)

A nice, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The price of our room was very affordable. A good, full breakfast, and fresh hot coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Very clean room with comfortable bed! We ended up staying overnight because of a blown tire and not only were we pleased with the room but the front desk/staff as well!! They allowed us a late check out while waiting for our tow. So genuinely kind! They did NOT have to. I appreciate your generosity and we will be back! We find ourselves passing through at least twice a year. Thank you again for making a rough day better.

Yelp
Terrible! We arrived around 5p.m had a reservation. our room had not been cleaned at all. The desk clerk never even got up from his chair! said he would find some sheets so that we could make our own bed!! Least to say we left and found a room elsewhere!

Yelp
This one was tough. The usual Achilles heel of any business is its staff. In the case of the Comfort Inn in Tonopah, the staff was simply awesome From the moment I checked in to my late night nay early morning arrivals I was met each and every time with a polite Hello and a smile. The room was spotless during my standard wipe down (Except one are noted below). The common areas were kept clean at last to my eye. So why 3 stars? The issue was with the general worn down condition of the room and part of the hotel. 1) Rear entrance. The scanner does not work. Some of the time the door was propped open with a rock. Arriving late as I did meant walking around the hotel with my gear. Doors being propped with a rock is not reassuring from a security standpoint 2) The carpet. It was puckering up in multiple areas. Enough so that in the middle of the night my socks caught it twice and I tripped both times 3) Grease or mold spot on shower curtain. Either way gross I will stay there again because the staff was so on point. I hope that my room was not representative of the others

Yelp
Rooms are clean, beds comfortable and kind staff. No issues with technology. Tonopah is a half way point for our travels and the comfort inn has been a reliable stoping point.

Yelp
The A/C didn't work. It was 103 degrees outside. The desk said I could move to a dirty room. They offered no refund or adjustment. I slept in the lobby. I'll stay somewhere else next time.

Yelp
First time I've felt I needed to do this not happy either. Check in last night was ideal clerk was exceptionally helpful. Wasn't til used the facilitys laundry had any issues. Took four rounds in dryer to dry one load. This morning second load was still in dryer on third round an had small third load washer. Talked to owner who informed me I was shit outta luck wasn't anything he could do to help. Beside give me a black trash bag. I even suggested cleaning the vent out for him cause pretty sure was clogged causing issues. Wouldn't have it. Asked if he's let my use there big dryer. Oh no. The informed me check out was 11:00 it wasn't even 9:0 yet. So I went out had a cigarette while I was smoking he come out an asked why I didn't take my clothes out. Cause there we wet an wasn't ready leave. He went back inside must of watch camera for me to come in I checked dryer. An he met me as I opened. Laundry room door. Where your clothes he asked in dryer still wet. Then informed me again of check out time. An clothes had to be out by then an so.e shit about electricity. So at 10:40 I went to desk ask for the bag he offered. Which he get me but sure didn't didn't like that I Interrupted him scrolling on his phone. The he follows me downhill was informing me that had 10 mins left which I had 15 actually. Requested k ow my room number which I told him. The questioned me why I was getting in elevator. Going my room get clothes I had laid out drying. That is get what was in dryer on my wY out an I'd be out by building by 11:00 am checkout. For 150.00 I would like to think would of been little more understanding. Not like I complained or anything. Didn't even involve hotel staff til it was obvious clothes wouldnt be dry in time for check out. No consideration from him at all an it was either owner or manager. March 1st 2025 Don't deserve any stars

Yelp
Very clean, comfy rooms, friendly but clueless staff. I stayed in room 108 which has a back entrance and staircase next to it. A lot of guests slam the exterior door or hang out on the stairs so the noise can be easily heard through the window of the room. If you want to get some sleep, don't stay in this room

Yelp
Linda was awesome! She went out of her way to get me a nice, quiet room ... and a good parking spot by the front door. The hotel was very clean and surprisingly quiet and comfortable. I was totally exhausted after driving across the desert all day so I just wanted to get 8 hours of peaceful sleep. Mission accomplished. I will definitely stop at this place again! Cheers!

Yelp
It was a long night on the road in a crazy snow storm. We were driving through and decided to stay in Tonopah after driving for 9 hours from Reno on the way to Las Vegas. Comfort Inns have always been good to us and our kids on our road trips, so I agreed to stay here. The gentleman working on the evening 12/31/22 was very welcoming and hospitable. He offered us some fruit and snacks when we asked if there was anything open nearby for us to grab a bite. We drove non stop and hoped we made it to Beatty, but we were glad we stayed here at this Comfort Inn. I feel terrible I didn't write your employee's name down, but he saved us from living off of Snickers bar on New Year's Eve. Thank you Comfort Inn, we look forward to staying here in the future on our trips into Vegas.

Yelp
Comfort Inn ~ Tonopah Mostly pros for the Comfort Inn on the north end of Tonopah, next to the gas station & the street Burger King. Plenty of parking for cars, trucks & trailers. Our check-in was smooth with Jessie's friendly, professional assistance. The king room was roomy with a decent view, a/c-heat-fan unit, small frig, microwave. The bed was firm & there were several pillows. The bathroom was clean with a tub/shower combo. The TV was huge & had ALL the channels & an excellent picture. There is a free breakfast every morning which is 6/10. Cons: The carpet in the hall & in the room was not stretched. It had huge lumps or rolls. Be careful walking. It's very trippy - literally . Don't plan on getting your coffee from the machine in your room. You'll understand when you see it. May I recommend a lovely coffee shop next to the Belvada Hotel lobby in the center of town. The refrigerator is very small, but useful. Our room was on the 3rd floor, facing the road. We could hear the semis driving by, but it wasn't super loud. Overall, a nice place to stay for a couple nights.

Yelp
This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. First of all, the room was much more expensive than other hotels in the area. Check in at 3 pm was fine, however, the room, afternoon front desk personnel and breakfast were TERRIBLE! The room and dirty refrigerator smelled musty, the ice machines on the 2nd & 3rd floor were inoperable, and as a result the 1st floor machine was almost of out ice. Addressed the problem to the front desk who rudely stated there was not a problem and the ice will regenerate. No one checked or placed an out of order sign on the machines and the next day they were still inoperable. The shower head was clogged and spit out water, and instead of getting hotter, the water got colder! As an alternative the tub was used but it would not drain! A dirty face towel was found between the wall and the sink rack, and there wasn't any soap provided nor a rack to dry our towels. Breakfast was very minimal and the monitor was more attentive to his phone while sitting in a separate room than refilling breakfast items. A guest informed him they were out of food TWICE before he started to refill the food. The coffee was undrinkable and the WORST I've ever had. In addition, the vending machine nearby was almost completely empty. Upon check out I asked for a printed receipt but could only receive an email because the printer at the front desk was out of toner. I tried to submit a review on the Comfort Inn website, but could not because I did not receive an email invite. Currently, the Tonopah site has a 4.0 our of 5.0. If we were all invited to send a review their rating would be much lower. The site has a few recent reviews which reflects my disastrous stay. "The facility was not well kept or even we'll appointed compared to other Choice hotels." and "I've stayed here multiple times over the past year and up until this visit I've never had any issues. The cleanliness has definitely taken a hit. 2 out of the 3 days of my stay all the hot breakfast items were gone and there was no effort to put more out. I will be staying elsewhere for next months trip." Please DO NOT STAY HERE! Thank you Yelp for giving me the opportunity to submit my TERRIBLE experience with this hotel.

Yelp
the outside lights of the hotel are so bright even with the thick curtains closed, it was light daylight in our room. woke up in morning and we found a live cricket in our bed. upon informing staff upon check out, they made excuses for the bugs. and being short staffed in housekeeping instead of reducing the cost of our stay or providing other compensation. we will NOT be staying here again!

Carey S.

Yelp
We love staying here! The staff is friendly and the beds are sooo comfortable! The sheets are so soft and put you right into dreamland! The kitchen is open in the evening for tea and snacks. We have not had breakfast here so can't rate it. We highly recommend staying here!

Flores C.

Yelp
The rooms are reasonably priced and very clean. What's more the manager went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. This included going to our room three times to help us figure out why the remote control for the television was not working. This location also serves a very good breakfast, and again the dining room was very clean, and it was obviously well taken care of by the food hostess. Although this location is out of the way, if you're ever in this area, I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Christina W.

Yelp
Wow! We did not expect such a good night's sleep and a nice, clean room and bathroom on our drive across Nevada in the middle of the state. We have stayed at Comfort Inns before, but not in Tonopah. This particular hotel is clean, has comfortable beds, a friendly staff, and a good breakfast. They even offered two flavors for the Belgian waffles (regular and Pumpkin Spice). We are very happy that we chose this location over the Mizpah Hotel downtown, which was about $8 more. Yes, the Mizpah is downtown and historic, but we got a bigger room and it was easy to drive downtown. Plus, the Mizpah is supposedly haunted. We read several reviews at the hotel of ghostly experiences in rooms at night. NO, THANK YOU! I'll enjoy my uninterrupted sleep.

Yelp
We loved this place! Clean gem at the end of town. We had a king, non smoking room and it was great. Very spacious with a comfy bed and the AC worked great. The front desk had everything organized and made check in super easy. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch as well.

Yelp
Double charged me. When I called to get it fixed, the employee was nice and said her general manager will take care of the refund. I called the following Monday to check the status. The general manager answered the phone. I explained it all again and she said her computer shows I stayed 2 nights. I explained I was in pahrump the next day so there is no way I was there. She said she would not refund the mistake, because the maids said the room was occupied. I told her that was not correct. She said I can't be upset with her or she would hang up on me. Guess customers lie and ghosts sleep in the rooms. Avoid this place unless you want to pay double and get called a liar.

Yelp
After seven days at the Luxor in Vegas, we drove up to Tonopah for two nights to see the incredible night sky. It was absolutely as beautiful as advertised. The first thing my wife said in the room was that it was much nicer than our room in Vegas. She was right. Clean, large, a fridge, a microwave, everything that was an extra on the strip. The staff were uniformly helpful and pleasant. I managed to get a bad cold in the desert in June, and when we checked out, the desk clerk gave me a box of tissues and three packs of sudafed that got me back to Vegas and then back to Maryland with my symptoms under control. I would stay there again in a minute. They were awesome.

Yelp
Awesome hotel. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The rooms were so new the carpet was actually fluffy! The rooms were quiet with only an occasional truck passing By being loud enough to notice. The showers were clean the bathrooms was spotless and the towels weren't even scratchy. The beds were soft and pillowy (I prefer a hard mattress but I know that's a huge plus for some of you.) The blankets were white and spotless. The entire stay was very refreshing. At no point did I feel like I was staying a place hundreds of strangers before me had. It seriously felt brand new. The breakfast consisted of egg omelets, sausage links, waffles, Greek and regular yogurt and many more options. After a long trip this was such a nice relaxing stay. Would recommend 10/10.

Yelp
Clean and quiet. Nice beds. Even though it is probably the newest motel in Tonopah it needs to hire a competent maintenance man. Light fixture was falling off the ceiling in our bathroom and coathook in bathroom fell off when I went to hang my bathtowel on it. Free breakfast was just OK. Nothing special. I am giving 4 stars because Tonopah has few choices and it's tough to run a business in this isolated town.

Leigh B.

Yelp
Corporate greed, cruel management- made a reservation, prepaid room as required. Then our family was rocked by a tragic\unexpected death. I called more than 48 hours before the reservation to cancel and was told their policy is no refunds, no exceptions. I explained our unusual situation-hoping for a partial refund- and was told no, and hung up on. Watch out for this place...

Yelp
it was perfect for exactly what we needed. we had a king, non smoking room. it was clean and spacious. the bed was comfy and the AC worked great. the front desk was on top of their game and check in was a breeze.

Yelp
Brand new place so everything is clean. Still in the shakedown period as a brand new building but this place is well on the way to being a five star for me. Very easy booking and great customer service. Owner has hit a homer by having a professional management company run this place. Coty the manager is a star. There is no Chuck Norris suite, no clown dolls in the lobby, and we did not detect any hauntings, but still comfortable rooms with great AC, at a good price. Needs laundry for guests which is coming soon I hear. Furnishings are great and bed is real comfortable. Decent free breakfast with friendly staff. Google this town, it's a trip!
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
Room was ok, some of it not cleaned. Beds comfortable. Large trash cans were nice. Breakfast was subpar. Not many choices. Coffee machine broken, but they brewed more.

K W.

Yelp
Do not stay here, rat infestation! When we arrived at the room we found rat poop near the bed on floor. When I called to tell the front desk, she offered to clean it up no, we left immediately. They weren't even apologetic about it.

Debbie B.

Yelp
No One wore masks My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. From the minute we checked in to when we checked out, we saw no employee with a mask on, or housekeeping staff. We were in and out a lot. They also didn't say anything to any guest not wearing a mask. We got there At 4:30pm and our room was still being cleaned. I asked that we be moved to a room that no one stayed in for at least 72 hours. We were moved to a third floor room. I brought my own Lysol wipes and cleaned the room from top to bottom before we brought anything in just to be safe. NEVER get a third floor room in the back. There are bright spotlights that are right outside your window. It looks like broad daylight at night The hotel itself was very clean, our room was clean, beds extremely comfortable and pillows. If it weren't for the masks not being worn I would give it 5 stars. Please manager -make your employees follow the COVID protocol and wear masks for your guests safety. This is the law.

Cheri C.

Yelp
I recently stayed at this Comfort Inn on my way to and from Las Vegas. I can't say enough good things about this place! The staff are very professional and friendly, very welcoming. Parking is easy, rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. There is an elevator, so access to all rooms are easy and not much walking. The ice machine on lower floor was out of order one night, but with elevator it was so easy to go to the next floor for ice. I was late for breakfast one of the mornings, but as I went to get coffee, a service lady was cleaning up from breakfast and we began chatting- she was so sweet and gave me some interesting history on Tonopah. She also packed up some omelettes and sausages for me to take on my road trip- which was very kind of her! I highly recommend staying here and will do so again myself, next time I'm passing through!
google avatar

Joanne P.

Yelp
The staff at check in, check out, and at breakfast were all very nice. Breakfast had nice option of southwestern omelet, sausage and of course waffles. Our room was really nice and clean. I'd stay again if I was in that area.

Yelp
No one gets 5 star but this treasure in rural NV is close. Easy check in, good price, spacious room and free hot breakfast. Hard to pass on this place as basically same price as Mizpah. Downside, you have to drive if you want to check out downtown Tonopah. Free wifi, clean bathroom. Fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Oh, and big flat screen in the room with tons of hd channels.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best places in Tonopah, besides the Mizpah Hotel! Front Desk girl who checked us in was super sweet and had such a positive attitude about her, her name was Shawntrees. My husband & I stayed here recently & loved it! Their GM Terra is also very lovely. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was decent for this COVId stuff. Will be coming back soon!

Jasmin C.

Yelp
I arrived here late and all the restaurants in the area are closed. The staff offered my family and I some snacks which was really kind. The rooms are clean and seem to be new. I highly recommend this hotel
