What a beautiful place to stay! We were greeted by owner Rita upon arrival, and everything was special. They accommodated my down allergy by trading out the comforter with an allergen-free that was just as luxurious. The bed was so comfy! The rooms are a nice size here, each has a king sized bed. Good a/c. The common areas are nice, with a coffee maker plus an electric kettle to brew your tea. The large fridge holds complimentary cold water bottles, and the freezer has an ice bucket and several wine coolers. They grounds of this winery have a nice view of the water, and you might spy an alpaca or 2, cattle, and even deer. The star here is the handmade gourmet breakfasts! Rita makes a lovely plate each morning at 8:30. Don't be late for breakfast! Homemade bread, pancakes, muffins, frittatas, apple compote with apples from their orchard, homemade jams. A rotating menu brings a pleasant surprise each morning. White wines are made with their onsite vineyard, and they also make some red wines, all with reasonable pricing. The town of Langley is just a few miles down the road. We highly recommend!

Wined & Dined!! Upon arrival, we enjoyed a delightful wine tasting with Mr. Carl, a very personable gentleman. Acquired a few bottles of wine, received great suggestions on places to eat dinner. The room is spacious and clean, a very homely feeling. No TV in room but WiFi is strong and capable of streaming. The Breakfast with Mrs. Rita is an absolute treat, incredible cook. I absolutely enjoyed every bite. I have never experienced such courteous host. And we will be back. Thank you for the experience Mrs. Rita and Mr. Carl.

Google
Such a great find! Quietest room we’ve ever stayed at and the comfiest bed! I wasn’t ready to leave. The view is great! The owners are so friendly and accommodating. We were able to check-in a early and had an incredible homemade breakfast every morning. Be sure to walk around the farm and to scope out the alpacas and meet the friendly wine dog, Merlot! If we ever make it back to Whidbey, we’ll definitely be staying here again.

We spent one night here in mid-July and had a lovely time. We were lucky to get the last room on short notice. The setting is serene and invites you to sit, gaze and sip to your heart's content. The room was 5 star clean, the bed and linens were very comfortable, there are plenty of outlets and space for your things. Breakfast was delightful and included home made bread and jam. A little slice of Heaven!

Google
This is a beautiful place to stay for a weekend trip! The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Carl and Rita are amazing hosts, and the breakfast and wine were delicious. I'd definitely stay at Comforts at Whidbey again.

Google
We were visiting family and decided to stay one more night. We found Conforts of Whidbey Winery & B&B had a room available for one night. What a delightful place. From the moment we arrived the quiet made us relax immediately. The rooms are beautiful, the scenery is picture book. The breakfast was just right and delicious. Although I do not drink wine for medical reasons anyone who does will be impressed and well served. I wish we could have stayed longer but it Comforts of Whidbey is on my list to go again.

Google
We had such an amazing and relaxing getaway at the comforts of Whideby! Rita & Carl have an amazing spot and were amazing hosts. Their wine was delicious and so was the breakfast. The room was large with a beautiful view of the water and the bed was so comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Google
We enjoyed a lovely stay at the B&B. It was short so we didn't get to enjoy the winery or farm much, but our room was super comfortable and clean, the location was perfect, and our breakfast made & served by owner Rita was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Our 40th wedding anniversary was spent at this Bed and Breakfast/Winery. What a wonderful time we had. The owners were welcoming and took extra time to visit with us when they had time. The property is in a quiet location, and the fact that it is a working winery as well is unique. It is located just minutes from Langley which is one of our favorite small towns to visit. The property is pastoral and the modern building nestles into the setting well. The rooms are clean, tastefully appointed, and very comfortable. The room we were in was spacious and had plenty of storage and open area. The custom bed frames and headboards really added to the spacious room feel. The common kitchen area is well set up, and the common reading/living room is inviting. We had a view that looked across to Clinton and south Everett. We understood there was a simple breakfast, but wow! We got homemade granola with yogurt and toasted homemade apricot/walnut bread with an apple/pear/fig side salad. We were having battery problems with our vehicle - requiring an overnight battery charge, and finally a jump-start. They were very helpful and made sure we got jumped so we could get over to Les Schwab and get a new battery. This place is our best place to stay in the area! We will go out of our way to get here.

Yelp
Popped in as we were driving through Whidbey island so we didn't try the Airbnb. Grabbed ourselves a pre-packed charcuterie board and a glass of white wine. I never like prepacked things. It just shows a lack of a desire towards presentation or delighting guests. Gal who was helping at the front wasn't the most warm or excited to see us. Typical Seattle fare, wish it wasn't that way. Come here for the views, stay to hear incredible gossip from those around you.

Alex H.

Yelp
Fantastic stay at Comforts of Whidbey! The owners are so personable, conscientious and really made this experience delightful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the view from our room was breathtaking. Would definitely book here again if our travels lead us back to Whidbey Island, and would highly recommend to others!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. Carl and Rita have a fabulous setup. Winery and B&B were outstanding. Beds were so comfortable, food was delicious and wine was exquisite. Highly recommend!

Star Legacy F.

Yelp
Carl & Rita have an amazing B&B and they provide outstanding service! Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable! Breakfast was great and the evening wine tasting was delightful. They serve wines from their own vineyard! Such a lovely, peaceful setting with water views. My only suggestion would be to provide a hair dryer in the room.

Yelp
Highly recommended. Some places ooze that casual, inviting afternoon stop-off look. The Comfort at Whidbey Winery is such a place. Overlooking the Puget Sound from the quiet of the countryside, this is a family-run winery, bed-and-breakfast, and farm, on the south end of Whidbey Island. We stopped in with a group for an afternoon lunch. The pictures with captions below say it all. This place is a fast-casual eatery in the Whidbey Island countryside with extras -- a Nosh spot, and a Bread and Breakfast. Carl and Rita Comfort bought this 22-acre farm in 2006 and converted an existing building into their winery and tasting room in 2009. In 2016 they finished their new tasting room, winery, bed-and-breakfast in the event space. With close to 6000 grapevines planted in the Estate Vineyard, most of the year is dedicated to pruning and nurturing the plants to ensure the best quality grapes. Vines include Siegerrebe, Madeline Angevine, Madeline Sylvan and, Pinot Noir. Carl will tell you he spent a lot of time living overseas drinking red wines. When he bought this farm, it came with white wine vines. So, he tries to make white wines that a red wine drinker would drink. Taste is always the best indicator of success, and Carl and Rita have hit the jackpot. If you like white wines, put this place on your must-visit list! It's another great example of Culinary Tourism in the Camano-Whidbey Islands in Washington State.

Yelp
We had a lovely 2-night stay at Comforts of Whidbey and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Rita and Carl. The room was very nice, well appointed with a lovely view. Great location, just minutes outside of Langley. Wine tasting was included with our room package and we truly enjoyed all of them. But the highlight was Rita's spectacular breakfasts (served on weekends). We'll definitely venture back the next time we're on Whidbey Island. Thank you, Carl & Rita, for making our stay so enjoyable.

Katie S.

Yelp
Carl and Rita were amazing and made our stay feel special and customized everything to our needs. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast that Rita made was huge, and beautiful and so delicious. The views are amazing. And, of course, the wine was fantastic.
google avatar

Glenda F.

Yelp
The rooms at the B&B are very nice and rooms have a wonderful view of Puget Sound. The breakfast is made fresh and has local produce. We enjoyed both the red and white wines. The owners, Carl and Rita Comfort, are very friendly and provided information on places to go and do in the area. Hope we can go back again someone.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Rita and Leslie could not have been a better hostess! We stayed upstairs over the weekend and had a wedding event. They were there assisting and guiding for our set up to our break down. Rita is a one woman show for sure! She cooked breakfast for us, Fed all the animals, mowed the grounds, took care of the guests, etc and had a smile on her face the entire time! Wine is amazing. B&B was even more amazing. Breakfast is home cooked and included with your stay. Tasting flights are $7 and well worth it to decide your bottle of choice. The views are incredible. Two farm dogs that just want love when they see you! Cows & llamas in the pasture between the tasting room and vineyard and they are just as cute as can be! Very nosy as to what's going on up at the main building. Be sure to stop here for a day or a night stay!

Elle G.

Yelp
Lovely, family owned and operated B & B in Langley, Washington. Rita and Carl are thoughtful, kind, and accommodating hosts. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing space to unwind for the weekend or week, Comforts of Whidbey is a fantastic place to experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Yelp
This place is the best! We were skeptical about staying at a bed and breakfast as we'd never done it before but the Comfort's made us feel right at home. Complimentary wine and cheese + farm fresh breakfast was amazing. Such a nice touch. The property itself was beautiful and our room was clean and fresh. We will certainly be coming back here for another getaway, very relaxing!
google avatar

Yelp
I asked my now fiancé to marry me here and the staff were very friendly and kind with our moment. They surprised us with a nice bottle of their sparkling wine and chocolates they have there. We will be coming back to stay with them each year as a tradition.
google avatar

Yelp
Hidden gem on Whidbey Island. Great location in Langley - views, views, & views! Rita was the perfect host - their wines are wonderful. A tasty cheese plate accompanied our tasting. And our going away breakfast was scrumptious! We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
We stopped by Comforts of Whidbey at the end of a day trip to Whidbey Island, just before heading to the ferry in Clinton. It's a beautiful winery with a large tasting room and beautiful views of the ocean from the back deck. The owners are very nice and they have a sweet chocolate lab puppy, Merlot, who loves belly rubs. I hear they have 6 b&b rooms on the second floor, which we'd like to try in the future. I'm the meantime, we really enjoyed the wine and tasting room.

Neil N.

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights- it was fantastic. The B&B consists of 6 rooms above the winery. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable with a view of the grounds and the water. (The bathroom was also quite large.). Coffee, tea, and light snacks are available around the clock down the hallway. The breakfasts were delicious with pretty much everything homemade. The innkeepers/ winery owners were outgoing and friendly. They also make some great wines.

Victoria R.

Yelp
Omg! I loved this place. I stayed for one night their B&B and wish I had booked for longer. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was yummy. I sat outside with a view of the water. So beautiful. My room had the pasture view and it was beautiful too. I want to go again!

Yelp
Look I have been a restaurant owner. I have had my share of bad customers, but at no time in my career have I ever treated a guest the way I was treated today unprovoked. I get it, people have bad days, but the treatment I received today from the Owner of Comforts of Whidbey prompted a man who said he would never write a comment on Yelp to download the app and do just that! He was rude, disrespectful and down right nasty. I have been treated better in a county jail a mess hall then I was at this restaurant! And if I am being honest the had better wine there too.
google avatar

Christopher M.

Yelp
Wonderful wine. Beautiful view. What's not to love? We sat inside at their tasting room looking out at the sound. It was a wonderful experience. A family owned and operated winery, they seem to know what they're doing! By and far the best wine we've had on the island, and the best Syrah I think I've ever had. Cheers!
google avatar

Cassie J.

Yelp
What a beautiful unknown we learned about this weekend! This winery/B&B is truly a northwest gem. Upon check in we enjoyed complimentary wine tasting and proceeded to purchase a bottle of their wonderfully crisp sparkling wine. The beds are so incredibly comfortable with foam mattresses but hard to focus on when the view was so amazing. We were spoiled with breakfast in the morning with an amazing selection of home made steel cut oats, egg scramble, sausage and so much more! And on top of it the place is fully air conditioned. Book your room now!
google avatar

Claudia W.

Yelp
Such a beautiful and amazing little gem. Stayed there for two nights, enjoyed the great hospitality, delicious breakfast, comfy bed, good wine and the quiet and remote location. It's really perfect for a quiet and relaxing time and you'll be taken care of perfectly fine. And my personal favorite: the little zoo with llama, alpaca, cows and chicken - between the apple trees and the vineyard... And shoutout on COVID protocol - managed perfectly. Thanks - we'll come back for sure!!
google avatar

Ram B.

Yelp
Comforts of Whidbey is amazing! This winery, event space, and now bed and breakfast offers so much. The Comfort family is very accommodating and the wines are superb! I love that they grow all the whites here onsite and how refreshingly fresh they taste; though I gotta say my favorite is the Malbec! What a perfect place to have a wedding or party as well! The views are beyond stunning and the cherry on top is the new wood fired pizza oven Anytime I'm on Whidbey I will definitely stop by!

Lauren N.

Yelp
Still in this comfy bed, in this beautiful retreat from the stress of the grind, and soaking up the view from my window. I couldn't be more pleased with my stay, the folks who run this oasis, and just the general vibe of easy, yet so put-together wonderfulness. I'll be back!

Yelp
Came here for a wine tasting because we heard it was the only place on the island that makes sparkling wine. We were the only people doing a tasting at the time, which was nice because we learned a lot from the friendly guy behind the counter. He explained things about the grapes, harvesting, bottling the wine, and even the process of how they make sparkling wine. Their fees are as follows: $7 for a tasting of 3 white wines and 2 red wines or $6 for a tasting of five white wines or $5 for a tasting of 3 red wines. We were told that you can't do less than that (e.g. no single white wine tasting), but that if we only wanted to try a few wines and we liked something, we could have a second pour. So we opted to try all of their "sweeter" whites, since that's what we like. We sampled the Madeleine Angevine, the Sweet Donna, and the sparkling Siegerrebe, but none of them were quite what we were looking for. I felt like they were actually all on the dry side. Then we sampled the Late Harvest Semillon. That wine was very enjoyable. It was sweet, but nicely balanced with acidity. We got a second tasting of it. We opted not to buy a bottles. They do not discount you the cost of your tasting if you buy a bottle, but if you bulk buy wine, they do offer discounts.

Yelp
Though it is a bit of a different name for a winery, the wine was the best that I tried on Whidbey(went to 4 wineries). Their quality is easily comparable to the wines over on mainland WA(not all on Whidbey are) and the view from their tasting room is beautiful. Their building looks fairly new and they are tucked away on one of the back roads of the island on the far south end, but they are worth the drive. They have a large spread-out area of tables all around the outside of the building with views of the sound and even with a full house(or maybe I should say a full garden since everything is outside right now), it's quiet and peaceful. But people at the next table, 8ft or so away, we're still friendly enough to chat with us about the area as most visiting Whidbey right now are stay-cationers. They have a few whites and a rose, but by far, their stars are the reds, IMHO. So good that we bought a bottle to bring back home to California in our checked luggage. Service was done by the winemaker family so they could easily answer all my California wine-nerd(snob) questions. . Even if you don't try any other winery on Whidbey, definitely go to this one. They also have bed and breakfast rooms above the tasting room and I think we will try one of those next time we come to the area to visit my son in Seattle, so we can enjoy the peace and quiet, the view and the wine the entire visit.

Tony S.

Yelp
We needed a place in a pinch on an early Saturday evening. From the moment Rita answered the phone until our departure, she was an amazing host. The wine tasting scene was vibrant. The wines are delicious. The scenery is beautiful. The view from our room, stunning and picturesque. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the beds, large and so comfy. We're making Comforts of Whidbey a monthly destination. So should you.

Kate L.

Yelp
Amazing views and good wine, but I've only been there once since they don't allow dogs. I understand not allowing them on the deck, but why not the by the lawn tables? Because dogs are welcome at the other island wineries, I frequent them regularly.

Carol S.

Yelp
Best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at. Beautifully appointed private rooms with own bathroom. So many details made our stay incredible. Warming towel bar and robes in room. Extra comfy king beds. And oh the views are amazing. It is a working vineyard with a large tasting room with amazing views. Finally, the breakfasts were gourmet. We will be back.

Yelp
This is our second time staying at Comforts of Whidbey, and we really enjoyed it this time, too. It's such a peaceful spot on the island and a perfect place to get away. Rita and her daughter, Leslie, were the perfect hosts and served us delicious breakfasts both mornings we were there. They did a great job keeping the guests safe, following all Covid-19 restrictions. We definitely recommend Comforts for couples who want to get away for a quiet and peaceful weekend.

Ariel H C.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for several days here at Comforts of Whidbey B&B and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It could not have been more peaceful and relaxing. Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The thought and care behind each aspect of the room was appreciated. Rita and the staff did a fantastic job at making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The amazing breakfasts were well thought out and different each day. The wine at Comforts was also very delicious, our favorite winery on Whidbey Island! We are already planning another trip back next year. Highly reccomend for a beautiful place to get away and relax.
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
While I didn't love the wines here, the service was great. Their grounds are beautiful with a nice view, so this would be a great venue for an event ... or to stay in their B&B. I think the woman working at the tasting bar was the owner, regardless she had great information to share on the wines, the grapes and the tasting notes.
google avatar

Jacob W.

Yelp
This review is specifically for the wine tasting aspect of Comforts. The service was great, the view was amazing, and I had at least two wines that are on my top five list for best wines on the island. They have a beautiful new(ish) building and a good sized tasting bar. Good thing too, because it was full! I will certainly be back next time I'm on Whidbey.

L A.

Yelp
We stayed there for three nights this past weekend. It was so lovely! The room was pretty and comfortable with a great view. The bed was fantastic. Breakfast was better than you'd get in a restaurant, with multiple options, all homemade. The hosts were warm, friendly, and helpful. We just checked out today and we're already dreaming of our next visit!

Trisha R.

Yelp
Lovely family run winery and bed & breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast was delicIous (and generous), and of course the wine is good too! If you are looking for a quiet, convenient locatIon with excellent customer service, Comforts of Whidbey is a wonderful choice. We even saw a small pod of orca pass by our window on the top floor room! Visited in early February and looking forward to a future vIsit when weather is more forgiving!
google avatar

Abby R.

Yelp
My family enjoyed a fantastic vacation staying at Comforts of Whidbey. We stayed three nights and wished it was longer. The B&B is like a small hotel and felt very private and intimate. Carl and Rita were gracious hosts and every detail was about as perfect as it gets. The wine is fantastic and the property is beautiful with ocean views. The taproom is very pretty as well. We were lucky enough to be there during one of their events which was a string band and it was really cool and well put on. I would highly recommend Comforts of Whidbey whether it be for tasting, the B&B, or an event.
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
I recently visited Comforts of Whidbey for the second time and LOVE the improvements they have made. The tasting room is gorgeous and you can't beat the view or proximity to the ferry! I've toured and tasted at most of the wineries on the Island and I like the Comforts wines the best. I really like that that it's family-run and that many of the grapes (whites) are grown on-site. The tasting room and grounds are perfect for a group (my first time here was for a bachelorette party of 12) or for a date with my husband. We don't make it to Whidbey as often as I would like to, but whenever we do, we stop by Comforts of Whidbey for a glass (or two) of wine!

Allison P.

Yelp
Comforts of Whidbey is amazing! Stayed at the B&B for 2 nights and absolutely loved our room above the winery. The property is beautiful & the perfect location, feels secluded but is still close to town. The breakfast served each morning was SO delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Patricia H.

Yelp
We stayed in the lower room known as the cellar. Every morning the owner Rita has a great breakfast and does everything to make your stay nice. Room/ bathroom was very clean. Would stay again.
google avatar

Lynn S.

Yelp
Another one of my favorite wineries. Lots of good wines and I really love their sparkling wine. I bought a case of this. They also serve fabulous pizza and their son is always so nice who I see there many times. Setting is sunny and gorgeous! Stop by for sure!
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Delicious wines (and the islands only sparkling wine), beautiful tasting room, magnificent grounds and views, and super friendly owners. We love Comforts of Whidbey. They also have a lovely B&B so if you've ever wanted to spend the night at a winery, here's your chance! Did I mention the sparkling wine! It's my favorite!!!

Kindra B.

Yelp
Perfect weekend getaway! Such a quaint and adorable place. Great wine, comfy beds and great service. Will definitely be coming back! Also had a delicious farm to table breakfast!
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Nice location near Langley. Quiet with beautiful views of the sound and the country. Rita was an friendly host and the food was amazing. The wine was excellent too, I purchased three bottles as I was leaving.
google avatar

Alex Y.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! EVERYONE HAS TO VISIT! Amazing views of the Puget Sound. Amazing venue. Amazing wine selection. And even better service! What more can you ask for?!?!
google avatar

Dan A.

Yelp
This winery specializes in Estate-grown white wines, grown from grapes on a family-owned farm on Whidbey Island. The co-owner, Rita, is knowledgeable and friendly. Besides white wines, they offer some red wine produced from imported grapes. The wine tasting room also has a picnic area outside with a bay view and llamas.
google avatar

Phillip G.

Yelp
My wife and I have been to all the wineries located on Whidbey Island. However, theirs is the only wine club we are members of. We were introduced during the annual "Wine and Chocolate Tour" after we moved here about three years ago. Apart from the beautiful property, and the fantastic people running the winery, the wines are great. The varietals they have are not all the everyday, run-of-the-mill "French" grapes, which makes it that much more interesting. I was previously not a fan of a white wines, but I really love their Siegerrebe (as well as ALL the other whites). Their reds are truly fantastic, too. They are also growing up, with a new building and tasting room on the property coming later this year. If you're out on the island for the weekend, you really MUST stop in and at least do a tasting - you will get your money's worth!
google avatar

Kiran T.

Yelp
I had a great time here. Such beautiful view and atmosphere and great wine. The interior and service was exceptional. A great spot for weddings because they have a view overlooking the water. We tried the white and red wines and ended up buying the Malbec.
google avatar

Colin T.

Yelp
GREAT wine and a lovely couple that owns it. How did I miss it for so long! I definitely recommend it! The whites are great, but the view is even better!
google avatar

Trish L.

Yelp
Beautiful scenery, delicious wine and such friendly owners! Plus who doesn't like wine paired with truffle?! A must visit!

Kari B.

Yelp
My daughter and I booked this venue over two years ago and just had the wedding last week end. It was spectacular! Rita and Carl were very accommodating and extremely helpful. Every aspect was ready for the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The grounds and facility were spotless and well groomed. We would highly recommend the venue for weddings and the wine is incredible!!
