I enjoyed everything here! The granita with brioche is a must try traditional Sicilian breakfast. The almond and pistachio granita was so tasty and refreshing. The brioche was so moist inside and had an orange tone of flavor. And you have a stubby view of Bellini Opera house. I was lucky that they were doing some rehearsal. The service was fast and friendly too. I want to come back again next time.

I’m very picky about my cannolo but I can say that these were the best I’ve ever tasted. The vibe of the place too was very chill, with music and great view of the square. It’s definitely worth the stop if you ever come to Catania. It was so good I can’t even describe to you. Just come & taste for yourself!!

ABSOLUTE MUST TRY! You will not regret coming here. Everything is incredible. Strawberry Granita is amazing, especially on a hot day and the coffee is Italian so of course it's great! The white chocolate gelato is so good and the best brioche is the best we have ever had!

Perfect place for breakfast, they have (of course) ice cream options and savory breakfast as well. I had a really delicious canolo and my bf had arancini with ragu. And a slice of pizza, spoiler, arancini would have been enough! Perfect coffee and perfect service, and the view on the theatre - just impeccable.

Very good gelato and nice staff! Especially the waiter guy, who’s name sadly I don’t know, but after some older guy was harassing me he was very attentive and offered to help. Very cute staff! Try their pistacchio gelato!

Great cafe offering a very relaxing outdoor seating on a quiet plaza overlooking the Bellini theater. The gelato we had was delicious, rich in flavour and with nice creamy texture. The coffee and the pistachio affogato were also great. The staff was very attentive and kind, offering an efficient and professional service. Overall, visiting this charming cafe was indeed a lovely experience for us and we can highly recommend it.

Flavours we tried we're lemon and blood orange, pistachio and hazelnut and fig and mulberry. They were all exceptional flavours, however the mulberry (gelsi) really stood with a really fresh and vibrant flavour. This gelateria was recommended to us by a local tutor that teaches my son Italian. And in no way did it disappoint. We had time to chat with the staff and they are friendly and very helpful. They also know their flavours intimately and not hesitate to suggest pairings to complement each other, they almost insist on it! Really great experience and this will become a daily visit while in Catania.

Our first stop in Catania and we went back again the next day! You have to try the Granita and Brioche (ideally for breakfast, as the locals have it). We had the chocolate and Hazelnut Granita and both were amazing. Coffee was great. Service was warm and attentive. Location is perfect. Highly recommend.

Checked out Comis Ice Cafè for their desserts. They had 15 gelato, 8 granita and 6 sorbetto flavours. Service was great (one man running the front). Go inside to pay when you're done. This was the ONLY place with no coperto charge. - 2x Granita (3,50€) - mango and limone, pistacchio and mandorla. Pistacchio was the best of the four flavours. Mango and lemon were solid (very fruity, refreshing). Almond had a touch of artificial note to it

Great little place for gelato or granita, with friendly service in the middle of a piazza. I have been here quite a few times now. It is a bit touristy but you can't beat the beautiful views and friendly staff here. The lunch is rather good too, as they have a good selection of small plates like arancino, salads and panini. Definitely stop in if you're hungry while you're walking by and need a snack.

Service sweet like their treats! Before I even arrived to Sicily my husband had been telling me about his favorite gelateria in Catania. We finally made it! Tucked away thru a walking area in front of a fountain on the piazza in front of the amazing teatro this gelateria was worth the walk. Since it was a chilly night (as they all are in winter) I opted for a hot chocolate and one of the bambino's had a gelato so I was able to sample and yes it was yummy and creamy and full of lemony flavor! The Hot Chocolate was thick, oowee and goowee and sweet and creamy like a warm cup of hot chocolate pudding. Where's the churro? Delicioso! Yummy I wish I could share!! I will be running back! Don't miss it!

Comis is one of those certainties in life: like that spring follows winter, that the stars show up at night, that the earth revolves around the sun, that eventually we're all gonna die. If you stop at Comis, you will have fantastic ice cream. I'm addicted to ice-cream in an almost pathological form, and I have tried millions. This is the best. I also very much appreciate their inventiveness in proposing new flavours all the time. I was very impressed by setteveli al pistacchio: that is a medley of pistachio and almond ice cream, with bits of sponge cake and pistachio-marzipan. Moved by the sensory experience, I went back and begged for more.

Very good location and space. The waiters are very nice and competent. The service was very quick and simple in addition to the food being delicious. Absolutely recomend coming here

Decent enough ice cream, but not as good as its hype. Lovely location though, with a nice view over the fountain square.
