Commercial Club Hotel

My husband and I were most impressed by the whole team that worked both the Commercial Club and the Grand Hotels. Our car had broken down, so we stayed at the Commercial. We were treated very well by kind and very thoughtful people. We enjoyed the food, and we enjoyed the friendly banter with both Management and staff. I'd visit again without a doubt. Thank you all. Well what does $145 for a single room get me. A shower where the shower spout is wired to the shower railing and keeps dropping lower, a tv that doesn't work or no instructions how to use, bed lights with no globes, stained cracked basin, peeling laminate on basin cabinet, peeling foil on windows and doors, glass sliding doors that don't look like they have ever been cleaned and an airconditioner that rattles. The bed and linen were clean. I may expect too much but for $145 substandard.

A very friendly pub to have a meal and a drink. The service was excellent and the food was plentiful and very tasty. A short walk from the caravan park.

Sorry to say but the steak I had was horrible, so tuff not even the steak knife could cut it and so much fat close to half , big hunks of fat … I’ve eaten here twice now and both meals have been crap truly .. won’t be a third time anyhow

Did not stay but the food is excellent, huge portions, fresh and well cooked - very impressed thank you!

Excellent food in the restaurant - the room was ok - but the aircon didn’t get very cold and it was super hot, was clean and the bed was comfortable but the worst thing that happened was our hire car got broken into in the accommodation carpark. Staff was friendly unfortunately couldn’t help with the break in but still a good location for a stop over.

We only ate dinner there - did not stay.|The food was good - tasty, well cooked and generous.|The staff were all foreign backpackers, recently employed and nervous, but friendly and helpful.|The menu is not extensive, but good for a country town and we all enjoyed our meal.

Read the negative reviews and considered going over the road for dinner and a show ;-). Glad we didn’t, meals came out fast. Chicken Parma (only complaint is she pronounced it parmi) was huge, well cooked and tasty. We saw the pork special and it looked amazing (huge) with crispy skin. The nachos were massive, definitely a sharing portion. Also…. Beer cold A.F. Delicious

Stay away. Rooms disgusting on arrival, we were over charged on our credit card by over $500. When called and asked multiple times why we had been overcharged on our credit card, the staff were rude and swore at us. We had to lodge a fraud complaint in the end as they never provided any information or wanted to discuss the over $500 extra taken from our credit card.
