Immaculately clean and tidy. Rick and the team were extremely kind and helpful. Having the botanic gardens right next door was a real treat to walk through in the mornings. And watching the wood pigeons right outside our window. I can't recommend this place highly enough!!!

Clean and tidy. Close to one way so had a wee bit of street noise. Great location close Logan Park for tournament. Rick the owner was very helpful and friendly.

Reception help was so good. I had a very sick husband in hospital and I was looked after so caring and thoughtful. Stayed there a second time. Rooms is clean and big they put the heater on for me before I arrived. You will not make a mistake to choose this motel. Recommend!

Stayed here for a few nights during athletics nationals and it was really convenient. ||Big spacious rooms and it was in a great location. Supermarket close, botanical gardens close by, and restaurants not far away at all.||The room was quiet, but bright. The outdoor lights were on a lot which was a minor inconvenience.

I really appreciated the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the owners. I booked a single studio room which was very clean and well appointed, and perfectly met my needs. I really appreciated being on the second floor facing towards the Botanic Gardens and away from the road - it was lovely to awake to the sound of bird song each morning. This motel is also ideally located just down the road from the University of Otago and walking distance to town.

They were absolutely amazing! We had a large group and they were incredible to all of us. I would 100% stay at the Commodore if I were to come back to Dunedin. Rooms were super clean, spacious, and lots of amenities. Incredibly happy. Super close to downtown, the botanical gardens, and the grocery store. I felt super safe here at the hotel as well.

We showed up at the last minute & were greeted warmly. The friendly & efficient lady (Vicky?) put us in a lovely room at the back away from street noise. The amenities were excellent & the bed was great for my wife's sore back due to driving many hours. Would happily stay here again & recommend to anyone for a comfortable & convenient stay right beside the gorgeous botanical gardens!

Great, friendly hosts. Rick was very kind and really welcoming. The room is clean, tidy, updated and spacious. Close to town, about a 20 minute walk. Good off-street parking. Would have given 5 stars if it had SKY TV. Very happy to recommend to anyone.

This was a great motel to stay in for our two nights. It was so good to have a little kitchen to make our breakfasts in. They even had free milk in the fridge! It's also a great place for kids and babies! We were able to borrow a crib, highchair, and baby bath tub all for free! There was even a bucket of toys available, ready when we checked in!
