Common Bond Brewers

This is a nice little brewery with a overall good selection brews. The main reason for four stars is a complete lack of a kitchen or any sort of munchies. Although right next door is a very nice pizza place but they can get really busy. This brewery is located in 100+ year old building and they've done a great job of remodeling with indoor (nice bar) and outdoor seating. They have a pretty wide selection and were heavy on the IPAs (5), but lite on the stouts (1) and lots in-between. We had 2 flights of 4 each with our favorites being the Dreamsicle (my wife) and the Crafty Lefty.

A great brewery in a great location. The taproom space is great with lots of tables and plenty of televisions to watch sports (NCAA tournament time now). The beers are great and you can get food from the great pizza place next door. The bonus is that this place is dog friendly inside and when we were there last there were a number of people who were happy we had our dog with us.

We love this place. Great beer and a wonderful staff. Location is a little hard to find, so check to the left of the pizza joint :D Being family and dog friendly makes this local brewery a weekly stop for us!

Exceptional brew, great bar tender, ease of access, and left with a growler. Definitely worth swinging on through especially after having some Bibs pizza! Highly recommended and family friendly.

New favorite place in Montgomery!!! My boyfriend and I decided to grab a beer, and we had such a great time! The staff was friendly, attentive and knew so much about the product. I’m originally from Oregon, and picky about my IPA’s….their single bond IPA was exactly what it was looking for and they had a great selection of beers for all pallets. If you have a question ask for Corey! We also met some wonderful people also enjoying a beer, and we’re so glad we stopped in. The ambience was awesome, Corey was playing some bangerz and you can tell they have regulars that love it here also. We will 1,000% be back!

Awesome beer in an awesome place. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Got to talk shop with the owner/head brewer. Do yourself a favor and go here immediately and often!

Was a nice brewery in downtown area. Had a nice variety of IPA beers. Very family friendly.

What a neat little brewery! I think this is the only one in the Montgomery area. They have a cool outdoor space, and it's connected to a pizza shop. It is walking distance from the main downtown area too.

Stopped here mid road trip when looking for a place to have a drink. Was able to bring our own food in (didn't get the pizza next door but I wish we did - it looked great). Really enjoyed the beers here and the staff was super nice. Patient with my kids there too. Would definitely stop here again if in the area!

I attended trivia night with some friends at this brewery, and it was a great evening! Parking was simple, with two lots close by to chose from. My group was also able to find places to sit with ease, as the place wasn't packed, but it was definitely a popular event. Based on a recommendation from the person behind the bar, I had the strawberry wheat. It was very refreshing and not overwhelming in the beer flavor (which was great for me). Prices could be considered high, but I think they are fair compared to other breweries I have been to. Trivia itself was a lot of fun. Everyone there was in good spirits, and they made the evening great. My group also ordered pizza from the shop next door, which I will also recommend. I am already planning my next evening to Common Bond Brewery!

Stopped by on a Saturday lunch. Brought a pizza in and had a fabulous crème stout. It had a rich balanced flavor. They have a great neighborhood atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be back to next time we're in town to enjoy some of the activities they have scheduled.

Enjoyed a brew and some fun with the family. The bartender was really knowledgeable. We played a few games of pizza before our food arrived from Bibb St Pizza. They delivered it. The Gumptown Funk and Dreamsicle eye my favs!

Great beer selection. Highly recommend. Service is great too. Only brewery in downtown Montgomery. Fun atmosphere.

Coming Bond has a really nice assortment of brews and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I love that the offer a flight option. Each 4 ounce pour is 2.00 to 2.50 depending on the style. Our only complaint was that some people weren't supervising their kids and they were annoying.....

Tasty brewery stop for craft-beer lovers like myself. This is a welcome spot for kids, offering games and a nice outdoor space with sidewalk chalk and more. Of course, craft beer is always more enjoyable when you don't have to chase around a toddler but we made the most of it and our daughter enjoyed knocking over the Jenga blocks. I had the Zelda Blonde and the Strawberry beer. Both were very tasty and I'd definitely return. Be warned for those that want to take little ones: there is NOT a changing table in the bathroom.

Common Bond has become a staple of my time in Montgomery. If you like beer, they have an amazing selection. If you don't like beer (like me), they have a delicious hard seltzer on tap! It's a great space that's pet-friendly, and they have a bunch of games to choose from to make your time there fun. The outside space with yard games has been so fun on beautiful days. Feel free to bring your own food or grab a bite to eat at the pizza shop next door!

Common Bond Brewery is a great addition to downtown Montgomery. Well worth the visit!! Nice folks and great ambiance. The tasting room is well appointed and has views of the brewing works. Nice outdoor area as well. This is a great place folks!!

Stopped by Common Bond on a visit to Montgomery Alabama it's the only craft brewery in the downtown area and walking distance from our hotel. We stopped by on a Sunday evening when we arrived in town before dinner we tried a variety of beers - whenever I'm trying out a new brewery I always enjoy a flight so I can cry a variety of beers. I tried the Orbital Cloud IPA, the Belgian Tripel, Ramber Rye Ale and Crema Stout. The bartender was friendly and we enjoyed talking with few other guests at the bar from all over the country. Common Bond is worthy of a stop while you're in Montgomery learning about our American Civil rights history.

Truly loved everything about this brewery. It's an excellent stop if you're in Montgomery. Quick walk from the renaissance or embassy suites if you're visiting. There's food next door as well if you're hungry! The Ramber and R&D Cherries were outstanding! Highly recommend this place.

Awesome local brewery! It's a close walk from the major things going downtown. Why not take a trip to Common Bond Brewers? They've got a great space. Lots of TVs if you're in to watching sports or anything else. They have games too! Bring the kids! The beers are creative and reasonably priced. Try a flight! It's all good. If you have to be in Montgomery, give Common Bond a try!

This is a very cool find as this was my first stay in Montgomery in numerous drives through the city. It's a very nice brewery, has a minimalist, industrial vibe? Is that a thing? :) Kinda hard to find from the road (Bibb St). The signage is on the side of a beautiful brick building and the entrance is in the corner behind the outdoor patio of Bibb St Pizza. Here, input this on your GPS device and it'll bring you near the front door. (32.377328° -86.313710°) If that doesn't help, call somebody. Common Bond Brewers has some of the coolest, nicest engaging crew I have ever encountered in my travels. Cory, Patrick and Stephens (Stevens?) will take care of you. Great bunch of guys!!! Arriving again at Common Bond Brewers, I just could not help but wonder why it was not just a bit larger to accomodate the crowd of patrons I have seen each time I am there. Well lit with a bar and several tables, it could get a bit tight walking through to other areas. Finger foods and beer go well together. There was not a single brew I tried which I did not enjoy. The tables and floors were nice and tidy. Although most times we went to the bar to order, there were times we would be checked on and the orders brought to us. I truly enjoy the fruits of the labor common bond puts into the crafting of their beer. An excellent place to hang out with friends, enjoy the beer, and support the local economy.

Common Bond Brewery is as advertised, good beer no food. We stopped for some after dinner brews and enjoyed all our selections. We are traveling through or would otherwise make this a regular watering hole.

Great new microbrewery downtown. Beers: IPA - Nice hoppy brew with light bitterness. Ramber - The Rye Amber. For the malt mouth. Blonde - Great light brew for those hot Montgomery days. Pale Ale - Good brew for easy drinking. Excellent setup for drinking great beer. Service: On the ball. There's a place at the end on the bar just for walk up orders. Why don't more microbrews do that? There's an outdoor area for dogs. You can bring in some of the Bibb St. pizza from next door if you're hungry. They've got some board games and Jenga. Five stars. Just what Montgomery needs.

Common Bond Brewers are hard to find if you are not familiar with Montgomery. They are in the same building as the Pizzeria at the same address - but the entry to the brewery is hidden and the sign is hard to find from the street. But once you have found the right entrance you enter a small, well designed taproom - industrial style, all very beer-friendly (no other drinks in sight that might distract you). The bar staff is friendly, too - and enthusiastic about their beers. When we visited there were four beers on tap, all well brewed and flawless - starting with a Blond, a smooth, but roasty amber ("RAmber"), an easy drinking Pale Ale and a hoppy IPA that could do with a little more fruity aromas.

A nice, cozy brewery by the heart of downtown Montgomery. I enjoyed stopping by here back in March for a concert at the Performing Arts Center. The staff is friendly and I was surprised at how good of selection they have. All the types of beers are up on a display board and show content such as ABV, as well as price, which I liked. The space is a bit small, but that didn't stop me and my wife from enjoying ourselves and finding seating back in a corner near some board games. There is also a pizza restaurant right next door. They will deliver over to the brewery, which is very convenient when you get hungry and don't want to leave. All in all, this place has great potential-I was very impressed and will return if I'm back for another concert!

Nice brewery in the heart of downtown Montgomery. It's located in a beautiful brick building with a pizza joint connected to it so you can have some food and some great beer at the same time. Plenty of inside seating but there's a small patio out front with lawn chairs as well. Odd that there's a gate between the two business that says no alcohol beyond this point on both sides, yet they both serve alcohol. Gotta love city red tape. LOL So onto the beer. I just had an IPA since we didn't have long to stay and sip them all, but I thought it was really good. I'm sure the other beers are equally as nice. The guys behind the bar were really cool and helpful as well. Great place!

Great beer. Hospitable and kind bartenders. Can't go wrong. The IPA was great and their collaboration called Bitter Constituent was awesome. Check this place out!

The only thing common this brewery has with its peer competitors is overpriced beer and poor service. Overall this place underdelivers compared to its price point. $7 for a beer + tip? Hard pass--but before you leave, make sure to hydrate. Don't forget to ask the bartender for a plastic water cup to fill up next to the groody fountain by the toilets.

What a great place. Try sister and I spent an afternoon there. The beer was some of the best I've ever had and we tried them all. The bartender and owner were amazing as well. Great conversations and great beer....doesn't get any better.

The choice of beer was a bit limited but the venue was great. Awesome place to hang out with friends, not pretentious. I would defiantly come back.

Stopped by the saturday that they were holding their grand opening, from the minute i arrived til i got through the line to get a beer, the staff were incredibly friendly and eager to answer questions about the brewery that can be seen through windows in the taproom. I didn't do a flight that day, just had a glass of the Blonde, yet i loved it. i plan to come back and bring some friends. If you're hungry, they have partnered up with Bibb Stret Pizza co. which is located in the same building as commonbond. Go try them today!

Fantastic brewery near the river walk in downtown Montgomery. All of their beers were well made and has distinct flavors. I had 3 in my group and we got a taster of everything. I'm not a huge IPA fan, but liked their Citra Sesh. Also on my lifts of favs are the Belgian Blonde, Belgian Dark, And Crema Stout.

The one and only Common Bond. I have been going since the first day and it is wonderful. Stop in. Have a beer. Enjoy the best micro brewery Montgomery has to offer. Bring food. You can order at Bibb St. Pizza next door and they will deliver it to your table. Great beer. Great service. Crowlers and Growlers to go. Good swag, more on the way! My local haunt. Drop by any Friday (after the shutdown is over!) and buy me a beer!

I really love this place and make a point to visit whenever Im in Montgomery. The beer is great. They do a ton of small batch stuff so there's always something new to try. Its a cozy place and not trying to hard. The bartenders are always friendly. Convenient location with a pizzeria next door if you're looking for food. My preference is to bring someone fun and enjoy a lazy afternoon enjoying the beer and the company.

So happy that this brewery is real close to the interstate intersection. We stopped in for a beer - I had a strawberry wheat and Kevin had an IPA- both were refreshing. Patrick and Preston behind the bar were entertaining and funny. We especially enjoyed Patrick's meme collection - made us laugh!

Awesome brewery! Stopped in to enjoy a beer while visiting Montgomery for work. Thus place is amazing. Owner was on site and super personable and it had a cool Cheers vibe where I immediately felt at home. Preston, the guy running the bar, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and energetic. He gave me a few tasters and I settled on their flagship IPA....GOOD STUFF! Stop in Common Bond Brewers, you'll definitely enjoy yourself.

Stopped by here on a Friday night. Loved the atmosphere and the vibe. It's a real chill spot with an awesome variety of beer. I went with their Blonde. It was smooth and light and I had about 7! I will definitely go back next time I'm in town!

OMG so I have only recently discovered Common Bond Brewery. I have had the Amazing Pale Ale and today the Rambler a beautiful amber ale. So good. I know you can't go in right now because of the Coronavirus but if you love good heck great craft beer you need to pick up a growler or ten and enjoy some of this Amazing beer. .

First time in Montgomery; Common Bond was a short walk from our hotel. Stopped in on a rainy Thursday night; service was quick and friendly; we enjoyed our flights and the friendly vibe of the place. Nice place to unwind after a day of travel. Would definitely recommend!
