"Seoul is a city built on innovation and commerce. Combine the two and you get Common Ground, the world’s largest container shopping mall. Developed by the design firm Urbantainer, the project wasintended to revitalize unused land in the Gwangjin neighborhood. Now, 200 stacked, prefab blue containers stand on the site, helping connect the community with creativity. Independent boutiques in the Street Market and Market Hall areas lure shoppers, while gourmands head to the terrace restaurants and food trucks in the courtyard. A never-ending lineup of events is also on offer, from DJ nights and performances by emerging musicians to pop culture exhibits sponsored by Toy Republic."

I think Common Ground is too overhyped in my honest opinion. Everyone on Youtube, ChatGPT, Reddit, the entire internet tells you that Common Ground is a must visit when you check out Seongsu-dong. I think it's alright. You can walk through this little building made out of shipping container within 20min. It doesn't have too many stores. It's nice to check it out but wouldn't come all the way to this neighborhood just for this and it's definitely not the "Top thing to do" when visiting Seongsu-dong.

Another great idea of Shopping Mall 👍 build of cargo containers makes it very funky... Not much to see here, during my visit they only have Olive Young, Butter, ABC Mart, Vans, some local clothing brands and coffee shop. If you're looking for cool photo spots then this is place for you 😌

This unique and container based street like market is worth to stop by if you are in the area. There aren't too much to do or see, but enough to enjoy yourself and to grab a bite and a coffee. Going in the evening would bring a better vibe. I like the fact its been built out of cargo containers which brings something differen to a very "blend" neighborhood. Now don't get me wrong, the old buildings surrounding this area combined with the very new and modern does bring a very exciting feel, including, young and hip. The layout of shops and places have been changed since my last visit but considering the size, it doesn't disappoint. -tip- it would be better to visit this place as a, if you're in the neighborhood or passing by. I wouldn't go out here only for this. Just my personal opinion ☺️🙏✌️

Very nice alternative shopping mall made out of shipping containers. The stores are mainstream but with good shopping options and the retail experience is high. There are plenty of food options on the top floor but unfortunately they weren't well visited. I found the offerings to be quite good but maybe there are other reasons why only few people were dining there.

An interesting blue container shopping mall! There are some dining options, beauty shop (Olive Young) and fashion stores (I.e. OLO and Double JD for trendy clothes). There’s not much here. Pop by if you are in the vicinity or if there’s a brand you are looking for in the mall.

A 2-3 storey shopping mall made of container boxes. It mainly sells vintage/2nd-hand clothing, reworked items, and some popular brands like Nike. There are also a few restaurants and cafés on the top floor. The overall mall is very aesthetic and clean, including the multiple toilets. However, it is not that big, so it took us around 1-hour to walk through. Overall, there are interesting and unique items for you to shop around it, and many photo-taking spots. However, they do tend to be on the pricier side.
