An absolute gem of a hostel, perfectly located right behind Walking Street and next to the Pai bus station. I stayed in a four-bed dorm with an en-suite bathroom, which was cleaned daily. The hostel also does a deep cleaning of all dorms every Friday and Saturday—cleanliness is something they take very seriously!
In the mornings, free coffee and tea are provided, along with a water refill station for guests. There's also an on-site bar where you can purchase drinks. The hostel organizes daily activities led by volunteers, such as trips to Pai Canyon and the Bamboo Bridge—you just need to cover the transportation fee.
Each dorm room has lockers, but they aren’t very spacious—you won’t be able to fit an entire backpack inside. I just stored my valuables in the locker and kept my bag elsewhere. Be sure to bring your own lock. The beds are incredibly comfortable, with cozy blankets and pillows. There’s a spotlight and a small shelf next to each bed, which is a nice touch. However, if you’re assigned the bottom bunk near the doorway, be aware that there’s no curtain covering the width of the bed, leaving you completely exposed. I ended up using my towel as a makeshift curtain. It would be great if they added a smaller curtain for more privacy.
Upon check-in, a 200-baht deposit is required (cash only). Towels are available for rent at the counter, while soap and shampoo are provided in the bathrooms. The hot water pressure isn’t the strongest, but it gets the job done.
The only downside is that common areas close at 10 PM due to the hostel's proximity to a temple and a school. The space is literally netted off, and guests are not allowed to linger. Also, the reception opens at 9 AM, so if you have an early departure, be sure to collect your deposit and return your room key the night before.
Overall, the hostel has an amazing community vibe that made my time in Pai truly memorable. I would definitely return!
P.S. if you're looking to do tipsy tubing while you're at Pai, you can also book it through the hostel!
