Common House Chattanooga

Haven't stayed in the rooms but they look nice. Food at restaraunt is wonderful and really love the pastries! Parking is limited. Location is great. Service is very good. Just joined so haven't tried everything they have to offer yet. The special, social dinner event was fun! The seating areas are cozy. We really loved the outside dining area in the fall.

Overall this place is great, however, all of the reviews that say they were fraudulently charged by Common House after they cancelled, are true. I have met dozens of people that have fallen victim to this, just as I have. Tried to handle this with the service desk, and staff, but they gave excuses and blamed me, even though they had admired they received the cancellation request and confirmed. Just be mindful and keep records and know this is clearly ok with the management.

Excellent spot for a hotel. Really cool place to stay, food was excellent and staff is very customer service oriented. Rooms are not big and there's no frills with this boutique stay but it's comfortable.

I’ve been a paying member here and unfortunately I don’t feel it’s worth the cost. The membership fees are already high, and on top of that, the policies around guest passes are very frustrating. Even on a Saturday, when members reasonably want to enjoy the pool with their families, guest passes that are included with membership can’t be used during “pool party days.” Instead, I was told I’d need to pay an additional $60 for my guests, despite already paying significant monthly dues. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive when I asked about the policy. There was very little sense of customer service or care for members, which made the experience even more disappointing. Between the lack of value for members, the inflexible policies, and the poor customer service, I cannot recommend a membership here.

As a professional photographer, I absolutely adore this venue! After shooting 10+ weddings here as well as many portrait and head shot sessions I can confidently say this venue has it all with so many gorgeous spots for photos! The staff is ALWAYS kind and helpful. They do in-house catering and the food is always great too! The space is super versatile having multiple ceremony and reception areas both inside and outside allowing for each wedding to feel unique! I'm always looking forward to my next event at Common House!

We went here for Burger Week. Normally, you have to be a member to enter, even to just eat. But they opened it up to everyone for Burger Week. The burger was good and the staff was friendly. It seems like a laid-back place, no one in a rush. This is more of a social club. They have rooms available, an indoor entertainment area with a stage, an outdoor pool, and an outdoor entertaining area with an outdoor kitchen. It was kinda hard to catch a waiter/waitress at times. The dining rooms are broken up, and you can't see them all at the same time. So, if a server is in another dining area, you won't see them until they happen back into where you are. Overall, a nice place, friendly staff, good burger, but tight parking and the dining rooms are kinda disjointed.

Our company Christmas party was a huge success thanks to Elysia, Tony and the rest of the staff. The whole planning process was seamless. The room was decorated beautifully, and the fire was roaring in the fireplace. Which created a cozy Christmas vibe for sure. We had a large crowd, and the staff accommodated and interacted with everyone just like they were part of the group. The food was simply amazing to say the least. If I had any complaints, it would be the chairs were a little un sturdy and the parking availability was scarce. But that isn't technically Common House's fault. That is just downtown Chattanooga. I would definitely recommend this venue for future events.

Common House is MY FAVORITE!! Staff is always accommodating, always greeted with kindness! As a wedding planner in the area, I love that Common House is an all inclusive event venue. Common House has amazing food options and every space is decorated beautifully for a perfect photo-op! You will not be disappointed if you become a member or have your event or wedding at this beautiful location!

Excellent menu in this private club, located in a fascinating structure from the 1920s in the South Main neighborhood. Everything houghtfully served with attention and care.

Good food ambience and nice service. We come here often and always enjoy ourselves. Good parking in back and on side street.

What an incredible, special place. Tl;Dr: Just become a member -- you'll thank me. My first real interaction here was when I popped by to co-work my first week as a member. The espresso machine had a fluke accident, and Kelly, the General Manager, kindly offered that they now 'owed me a latte' the next time I came in. I figured this was just being nice to a new member--or maybe I'd go to the bar sometime and have to awkwardly explain to the bartender that I was supposedly owed a free latte. Instead, on my next visit, the concierge checking me in said, "Ben! I believe we owe you a latte. Please let me know how you'd like it. I'll call it up, and they'll bring it down here to you where you're working." I'm sorry, I don't remember being born into royalty. But that's how you feel when you're a member. Exhibit 2: I brought my family here over the holidays, hoping to finally visit the Christmas pop-up bar. Unfortunately, we came on the night of an event when the bar was closed. When I asked about it, Liz, the sommelier, offered to open the bar for our group and proceeded to spend her evening making us drinks. Merry Christmas, indeed. Thanks for being so welcoming to my family. The hospitality here is truly second to none. On top of that, the quality and thoughtfulness of everything--the decor, the events, the menus, the amenities--everything here is so warm and wonderful. And how convenient that the House can be your office, your gym, your restaurant, your vacation resort and pool, and even your cozy reading nook. I thought it was a little silly when proximity to this cool-looking social club was a factor in choosing where to live when we moved to Chattanooga in 2024. In hindsight, that's turned out to be one of my best decisions.

Beautiful private members club. Not sure if non members can just walk in, but if they can definitely worth a try. Went for breakfast had the buttermilk pancakes which were perfect!! So delicious and a mere $11 dollars. Had the special omelet which was goat cheese chives and Parmesan, so good and in it included a green breakfast salad which was amazing! And we had to try their breakfast taco $4 dollars and it was a delicious bite. Service was great and quick and the place is just nice to be in. Def recommend.

I'm not sure if they are open to the general public or not. We had 4 couples, all from out of town, who showed up for a wedding, and the groom has a membership here. Breakfast was great and they gave us a private room for our party. Nice.

Fired my favorite people(griffin and summyr. People that have worked here for a very long time and that i had nothing but great things to say about. Sucks too see it go this way won't return.

Beautiful restoration of a historical building and exclusive club/resort with all the things. As you walk in there is an earthy smell with a warm fire in the front sitting room to the right. To the left there is another sitting area and work space. Heading straight through you will find a quaint bar atmosphere with billiards, a gym and a beautifully decked pool. Continuing upstairs you will find the on-site restaurant and meeting rooms on the second floor with a rooftop terrace. The facility also hosts posh onsite accommodations. Hidden gem with a "members only" air.

Had my first. Is it on a business trip and it did not disappoint. Enjoyed the fried chicken and (swapped) mashed potatoes. Service was very good and I really appreciated the decor.

I was on the rooftop terrace for an event, but the mussels are so good there and the wine selection was amazing.

Cassidy at the front desk has to be one of the best customer service ladies at the Common House! she honestly goes above and beyond when asked to handle anything, if you have a question she has the answer immediately and really makes the experience enjoyabl.

don't have a reception for a wedding here, they don't allow your party to park near their "house" and will ticket your entire party. oh and there is a weird ass chair in the bathroom for people to just sit and watch you I guess?
