Lovely corner location in an historic building. Great breakfast time vibe with chill atmosphere and music. Very clean, modern place including the bathrooms. Flat white was perfect, filtered water provided at every table. After the full breakfast I really was full! Very efficient, professional service. A fantastic place to enjoy a leisurely coffee and breakfast. Highly recommended.

This place has been on my cafe list for quite some time now, and I finally had a chance to try it out today. The atmosphere and vibe was nice, I must say, the cafe is very well designed. Food was alright. It's like paying a decent amount of money expecting to get back good food, and the food is good (alright) Had the Ox cheek Eggs Benedict, one egg was runny and the other was hard boiled don't really know what happened there. But it was good though, I really liked the meat. Their seasonal matcha was alright, could be stronger for my liking though. Coffee was strong and to my liking though! Also tried their Breakfast pancakes, if you're a fan of those you should definitely get it as, the maple syrup is different & compliments the pancakes really well! Nice and fluffy! Quite filling though, after awhile As for the service, I understand it was a little crowded, however I felt like I was being blatantly ignored most of the time. Being right under their nose and they just walk past me, ignoring my all my calls for them a little "give me a moment" could've been nice. But then again, like I said it was a little crowded (little). I reckon the service really spoiled, what could’ve been an average good meal. Overall not bad, but it could be improved, a solid 2.9/5. (Anything about 2.5 is good) I tried their breakfast menu only, maybe their lunch menu’s better 🤷‍♀️

Nice place to chill! The ambience is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The banana cake is soft and tastes great! The coffee is excellent. Highly recommended!

Decent food and coffee in the Joo chiat area. Service was good and the tables were spacious enough. Air condition was a little weak indoors, but this could be due to us being allocated to a table next to the door. Would recommend for brunch and catching up with old pals!

Loved this place for breakfast, we went there twice on our recent trip to Singapore. The coffee was excellent and we tried some of their specialty coffees also. On both occasions the food came out before the drinks, not a huge issue. The cafe is nice and quiet and has a chilled ambiance. All the dishes we tried were delicious and definitely order the hash browns

The food here was not bad, ordered their big breakfast, but their bacon was a bit too crispy and hard to chew which was a downside their sourdough was average tho the skin was too hard too. Love their grilled tomato and sautéed mushrooms tho, their sausages were good too, big portion. Their americano was normal tho, a bit too expensive for this kind of food and drinks

Common man is a good place to dine and catch up with friends. It has a v cozy vibe even on a busy day. I think the food serving is good for sharing. Their hot chocolate is tasty and thick. All of the staff were attentive. There was a queue when we got there but we were seated fairly quickly as well. They were also patient enough to wait for our order as we were having a hard time deciding since everything on the menu seems good.

Cosy cafe tucked in a little corner of Joo Chiat. Good place for breakfast or brunch or just a cuppa. Coffee is good. Food portion is huge. If you bring kids please don’t over order. Good to visit on a weekday. Weekends it’ll be crowded.
