Nestled in a charming neighborhood, this boutique hotel offers luxe rooms and suites with botanical garden views, exceptional breakfast, and top-notch service.
We stayed at the Communal Hotel Sololaki in Tbilisi last December, and I can't recommend it enough! This boutique hotel is truly a hidden gem. Its location is perfect—nestled in a safe, charming neighborhood just a 10-minute walk from the city center, yet surrounded by cozy cafés and delightful restaurants.
Every detail in the rooms and throughout the hotel is thoughtfully curated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Christmas decorations added an extra touch of magic, making our stay even more special.
The hospitality was outstanding, with George at the reception going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. He was incredibly kind and professional, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was another highlight—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. It felt like a home-cooked meal, yet with the elegance and care of a high-end hotel. A special thank you to the lovely lady who prepared it (apologies for not remembering her name).
Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again on our next visit to Tbilisi!

Communal Sololaki was such a gem. Situated in a safe, fun part of Sololaki neighborhood, we enjoyed spending time just walking around the area as well as relaxing on their porch. In fact, of all the places we stayed in Tbilisi, we spent the most time just hanging out at Communal because it was so inviting. Also, oh my gosh ALSO, the breakfast. Holy mother I’ve never had a breakfast experience like this, the stay is worth that alone. The staff were so nice they became friends by the time we left. Such a special place and a beautiful introduction to Tbilisi.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sololaki and had a mixed experience. While the hotel has its charms, there were several issues that made my stay less enjoyable than expected.
First, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. Upon checking in, I noticed multiple hairs under the sheets, clearly left behind by the previous guest. This was quite off-putting and made me question the housekeeping standards. A clean room is a basic expectation, and unfortunately, this was not met.
Another significant downside was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. I could hear every noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms, which made it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep. If you're a light sleeper, this could be a major issue.
On a positive note, the staff at Hotel Sololaki were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They were always willing to help and made an effort to ensure guests felt welcome. Their hospitality was a highlight of my stay.
However, I found the hotel to be overpriced for what it offers. Given the cleanliness issues and lack of soundproofing, I expected better value for the price. There are likely other options in the area that provide better quality at a similar or lower cost.
In summary, while the staff at Hotel Sololaki were wonderful, the cleanliness and noise issues, combined with the high price, make it difficult for me to recommend this hotel without reservations. If these issues are addressed, it could be a much more appealing option.

If I come to Tbilisi again on vacation, I will stay in this hotel. Very quiet, in a quiet location, close to the center. The most important thing is that the pictures match the reality. It is really beautiful inside, the materials are of high quality and the colors are amazing. Internet is fast, convenient to work. I advise everyone to take a room with a terrace to enjoy the privacy.

My husband and I stayed at the Communal Hotel Soloaki for 5 nights at the beginning or our trip and one night at the end. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious and it was so much fun to chat with other guests who were visiting from around the world. What make the stay perfect was the extraordinary hospitality of George, the front desk host, who went out of his way to offer suggestions for sightseeing and provide any guidance we needed.

Initially we had a pretty rough experience as the check in didn’t go smooth (we didn’t get the instructions for the self check in as there was an issue with booking.com and so we were stuck outside. Once we managed to go inside via another guest and were able to contact the staff they were able to help us and make us feel at ease. The free breakfast and nice conversation in the morning really improved our stay a lot. Hence the 5 star review.
