I’ve always wanted to explore Poblacion, and Commune Cafe is a popular spot. It was under construction when we visited, but the interior was fine, likely just fixing the front. The space was bright with plenty of natural light, and the service was excellent- she was kind and always smiling. The wood accents and wide windows gave the place a nostalgic feel. It was well-ventilated, and the restroom was clean with plenty of napkins.
I tried the limited-time Sago Con Yelo Latte, which was a great mix of coffee and dessert. The tapa rice in the photo looked chunky, similar to Mary Grace’s, but when it arrived, the tapa was sliced into thin strips, not what we expected. The dish was fine but nothing special, and I didn’t ask the server about the huge difference between what was served and how it looked in the photo since she was so sweet. Overall, it was a good experience, but they should update their photo to match the actual dish. The inconsistency was a bit misleading.
