What to Eat and Drink at Disney World’s EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival

"Housed in CommuniCore Hall, Festival Favorites gathers fan-pleasing returns like Kielbasa and Potato Pierogies with caramelized onions and sour cream and BBQ Pork Rinds served with creamy pimento cheese, and even an Irish Milkshake made with Guinness stout, Baileys Original Irish Cream, and vanilla ice cream for those looking for nostalgic or playful options." - Megan duBois

This is the building that replaced Communicore West. This is inside Disney’s EPCOT park. You have to have access to the park to get to this area. It has been under construction for the last several years while they took down the old section and built the new part. It is a large room with tall ceilings, seating areas and air conditioning. The day that I visited and saw this for the first time, I was unimpressed with the structure because it looks similar to the previous structure. It has entrances with large glass windows on both sides but it does not have any restrooms or restaurants inside. Those are both in different parts of the building and inaccessible from the large room. One exit/entrance leads you to the Mickey and Friends greeting area and the other to the stage, restrooms and eatery. Inside the ceiling is very tall (about 30 feet) with flags representing the various parts of EPCOT. They had a live show with performers singing Encanto Songs and working the crowd to get a party atmosphere going. They did a decent job of engaging people, kids and adults alike to energize the group. Overall, it is a good place to stop, cool down and recharge but nothing to write home about.

This is literally just an airport lounge. The only use for this I had was cutting through it to get to Word Showcase faster. If you want to sit down in silence, then go ahead, but I do not recommend this.

Is this boring? Yes! But it’s a great place to come to cool down. This would be a great place for kids with sensory or become overwhelmed with the loud sounds, colors and fast paced moving inside Epcot. It was a great place to wait on the kids and the air conditioning was as greatly appreciated!

Epcot used to have a beautiful and vibrant center piece here. There were fountains and stores. Now it looks like an airport waiting area.

Looks like an old airport terminal that was refurbished. I doubt Epic Universe at Universal will have anything like this. I love Disney but they are just not getting it lately.

The only indoor seating to eat at Epcot we could find.

So after all these years the best they could come up with is a area that looks like a airport departures area. It’s a real shame they did not go through with the original concept I guess that’s Disney cost cutting on projects. The whole area is just dead space. The outdoor stage entertainment was OK. Very underwhelming.

This is like a college campus study hall. Disney, you need to fire whoever designed and authorized this waste of space. You got rid of Electric Umbrella for this garbage. People are paying $150+ to enter your park to see empty garbage spaces like this. Only useful for getting out of the heat, rain, and planning ahead.
