I came on a recommendation. I found a beautiful room and the service was worthy of a good establishment. I ordered yak croquettes and a lemon iced tea, to which they added a little extra sugar on the side in case I wanted it sweeter. (A nice touch.) The portion of kibble was generous for a starter, which is nice considering the price. The croquettes was very tasty.

Completely catered to foreign high end patrons. The staff and vibe was great. We had some criticisms with the food but they took the feedback well and genuinely felt like they would take it on board for improvement. Too expensive for average Nepalese but what the effort matches with fine dining restaurants in Europe. Seems to be very popular.

Honestly, this was the best meal we have had in Nepal. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable yet elegant. The staff were super attentive and clearly cared about the food and drink provided and our experience of it (with no shady upsell.) I had a native Nepali red wine you would not believe. Shades of Pinotage with a bit of Oregon Pinot Noir and something else I can't define. And the food. This is where fusion wins. Everything was incredibly tasty from appetizer to dessert. With such attention to balance and technique. I couldn't fault it. Even the Nepali pepper sauce that came with my yak cheese fritters was so good (unfortunately I am a lightweight when it comes to heat and it set me on fire....but I tried again because the flavor was soooo good! LOL.) (I know this is weird to say about a restaurant but the bathroom was beautiful!)

Likely the high-end dining experience in Bhaktapur. It's in a nice setting with almost Western quality table settings and decor. The hotel atrium that we walked through also like really nicely appointed. The Newari set menu that we had was great and the pork belly starter was also good. They offered us more food in the same way as you would expect with a Dal Bhat, but less about carb volume and we had a good sized amount of small and tasty dishes, including buffalo, spinach, split peas, yogurt, flattened rice and other traditional items... Rakshi included.

Community at The Nanee is one of the youngest hotel and restaurants on the way at the narrow alley of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. It is amazingly constructed bearing in mind about the Vastu Bigyan. The art and architecture has been creatively designed by Renowned Mr Manish Lal Shrestha Ji. The local food is so satisfying and the international cuisine has maintained its standard. The staffs are welcoming wit smile and namaste. The kitchen is clean. The rooms are designed according to price and and has maintained its standard. Amenities in the rooms are nature friendly

Incredible meal. This was easily one of the best meals I had in Nepal. Their curry was flavorful and kept making me want to get extra portions (which they offer). The different sauces and sides were interesting and enhanced the experience. Drink service was strong, and the service was experienced and polite. I would definitely recommend.
