Company House Hotel St. Croix

There was an island wide power outage during my stay and no running hot water at the hotel either. There was a generator running so there was electricity to charge my phone. Got to bed early and left in the morning for a trip out to Buck Island so it didn’t inconvenience me terribly. A lot of this was out of the hotel’s control but a courtesy e-mail would have been nice to say you have a bed and a wall socket so shower up before you get here. Or perhaps a partial refund for the room. Much of this is just life on the island and everyone, not only tourists, were inconvenienced. The power was restored by the time I woke up but it was least 12 hours of no power.

The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Perfect for business travelers. Parking was tough but doable. The boardwalk was about two blocks away and had lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Had a very nice stay here. Quiet place and kept very clean. Restaurants and cafes are all in walking distance as well as a beach taxi to take you to nearby beach which is literally a 2 minute ocean drive. We had great air conditioning, clean room, water available at hotel to purchase, vending machine on site, pool, great hair dryer in room, and one washer and dryer to use on site. Highly recommend this hotel! Also, Dizhan at the front desk was always so helpful and sweet:)

We stayed five nights at the Company House Hotel and had a wonderful stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were steps away from Fort Christiansvaern and Christiansted National Historic Site, and an easy walk to the waterfront. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only minor drawback is that there is only street parking available. Not an issue in the evening, but it can be a challenge during the day. We had no problems finding a place to park within easy walking distance. An enjoyable stay.

For the money I would stay here again. The Hotel building is probably over 300 years old. They have done a nice job keeping things up to date. It is clean and it is in a great location. We are 2 blocks away from the water. If you want a hotel in St Croix to lay on the beach you will pay probably double the price. The room was good sized and the staff was friendly. The island is very laid back. To go anywhere on the island if you do not have a car you need a cab and they are not easy to get and they are expensive. The nice thing about the location you can walk to so many nice shops and places to eat. So a lot depends on what you like. When I go back I will stay here again.

I only chose 4/5 stars because we thought it had an elevator, and the Apple Pay wasn’t working. Otherwise a perfect place that I hope to return to someday

The service here was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. I did have to do a little work while there and the wifi worked well. It was within walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

What truly sets Company House Hotel apart is the staff. Any team members I crossed paths with, front desk to housekeeping, were friendly, engaging and helpful. As a businesswoman who travels often, I appreciated the peace of mind that came with knowing the property is accessible only to guests after 5 p.m. The staff was attentive and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, Company House Hotel is the perfect choice for a luxurious, peaceful getaway right in downtown Christiansted, where you can walk to shopping, restaurants and attractions. I cannot recommend this hidden gem enough and look forward to my next stay!

A great place to stay in downtown Christiansted. The hotel is ideally situated, making it walking distance to dinner and shopping, as well as convenient items. The property is secure, with key access. Has well appointed rooms, everything you need. It also has a nice pool, that seems to be available at night as well. There's a vending machine here to get snacks if you don't feel like leaving the property. They offered me a water when I checked in. Also there is street parking, and they mentioned a lot behind the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here for a few nights to enjoy a Christiansted and all it has to offer. The price was right too!

Pro: A beautiful place to stay, nestled away near the heart of Christiansted town! Company House Hotel fools you, with its old exterior architecture rooted in the style of Denmark during the days of St. Croix's Danish occupation. However, entering the front doors of the lobby felt like a refreshing and modernized dose of elegance! Simply beautiful! A mere 4 minute walk (if you're REALLY taking your time) from the Christiansted boardwalk area, you have easy access to the shopping, dining, and charter boat services that the area offers. And the view of the harbor, Protestant Cay, and Fort Christiansvaern are nothing short of breathtaking! The room accommodations are subtle enough to get a good night's sleep before embarking on whatever "Crucian" adventure you choose. With a friendly staff to accompany the ambiance, Company House definitely hits the proverbial target for lodging when you visit the island! Con: There aren't any beaches within walking distance. You'll have to settle for the pool until you jump in your rental car and head to the beach! Bottom Line: if you find yourself in "America's Paradise" and want to stay "on foot", stay here!

I was truly surprised this hotel was better in person than even the photos. Newly renovated even the towels felt new! From the time we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff to a spotless and well lit hotel. This was our first time in St Croix so did not know what to expect. Googling other hotels in the area this one looked the best and was close enough to the small boardwalk without having to be right next to the noise. Our room (first floor by the pool) looked like we were the first guests there. Nothing in need of repair. The bed and sheets were very comfortable. AC blew very cold (too cold in fact). Room came with a de-humidifier which helped to keep away any muggy island feeling. The towels as mentioned felt new. Shower, tile, fixtures etc. all looked and worked perfectly. Great water flow throughout as well. Room came with a work area, microwave and fridge which is always useful. Pool was open and clean also gave a nice sense of calm away from the busier boardwalk. The bar is closed and there is no restaurant onsite but there's at least 5 fine dining and many more regular places to grab a bite. Parking is available in front the hotel for 2 hour time limits during the day and free over night. There is also a dedicated parking lot behind the hotel remember to get the parking pass from the front desk. Seems a bit shady and you can definitely scrape the bottom of your car when entering/exiting but take it on an angle and you will be ok. This is not a 4 star but a 5 among the surrounding hotels. Lots of Covid precautions and everyone was abiding by them so it felt very safe. Will stay again!

Elegantly refurbished hotel located downtown Christiansted. Convenient to shopping, dining and waterfront. Rooms are large and offer a cocktail lounge, swimming and live music on specific nights. The pool is beautifully decorated and nice place to cool off on a hot sunny summer day.

The kind ladies at the desk after 3pm are the best. The day shift not so much. If you plan on leaving 1 minute after 11am be prepared to fork over $65.00 No apology no leeway. The management is so hungry for every last $ they skimp on everything. They want to be the "luxury answer in St Croix" but believe me they fall well short. Overpriced

Wonderful hotel in the town of Christiansted. My room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful. It is next door to a delightful Cafe and within easy walking distance to everything in Christiansted.

This hotel is exactly as described on their website. Clean, well kept, friendly people. Rooms are good size and beds are comfortable. There's a cozy bar inside the lobby that opens at 5. Bar keep made good drinks and was really personable. Good area with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Small restaurant right next door that serves breakfast and lunch. I love being right on the beach so that's the only real reason for 4 stars instead of 5 but I would definitely stay here again.

We have lived on St. Croix half of the year for more than a decade. Recently sold our condo and thinking about building something small--and were down for business--decided to stay in town. What a great surprise!!!!! We enjoyed being in the center of things--walking to dinner, and the Company House was superb. We stayed in the "500" series rooms which is a little alcove of 4 rooms including the owner's suite on the 3rd floor. (Why 500 for 3rd floor??? Who knows.) It was charming, clean, quiet and the staff was really great. Very cute pool and bar areas. The only thing you need to know is that it is historical -- with no elevator. Loved it.

Great place to stay! Phenomenal staff and great location. Rooms fit your needs and beds are super comfortable! Would absolutely stay again!
