Compass Rose Heritage Inn

What a beautiful location on Grand Manan Island. This is a beautiful accommodation to stay short-term or longer. Right from the moment you enter and are welcomed, everything is perfect. Our room overlooked the bay, which was fun to watch as the fishermen left early in the morning and returned in the evening. We could watch from our room or the lovely wrap-around deck that had plenty of seating. The room itself was very comfortable as far as bedding, towels, couch, etc. Everything was clean and the room actually looked bigger than in the photos. Breakfast was another treat. All homemade, including the bread! Linda and Kevin were excellent hosts and obviously care very much for this well-maintained property. We highly recommend the Compass Rose and would gladly stay again should we return to this beautiful part of New Brunswick.

We were in the garden suite for a few days. The owners are efficient and helpful. Our little suite was well equipped and comfortable. We could make our own tea and coffee there, with the kettle and coffee machine provided. Microwave and fridge were useful. The view onto the bay was lovely and the breakfasts tasty. The path to the suite leads down an uneven slope along some steps and then some paving stones. There is no hand railing so this path should be used with care.

I stayed at the Compass Rose for my first time ever to Grand Manan. I was fortunate enough to find a date for the room I wanted because they are certainly very busy so it was clearly meant to be! The location, so close to the ferry and the waterfront, is ideal. I was greeted with promptness and taken to my room (Sadie's room). It was so comfortable and provided everything I needed. The private balcony was definitely as lovely addition to my stay. The breakfast in the morning was the perfect way to send me home after a beautiful stay away. I would recommend this establishment and will certainly stay there again when I return to the island.

Had a lovely two night stay. Host was very helpful and friendly. The Rose room was small but was nice and clean. No A/C in room (there is in main areas) but lovely big window and a good ceiling fan regulated the temp perfectly. Tap water wasn’t drinkable due to nearby construction so there’s a water cooler in the room which was fantastic and convenient. Beautiful views and there’s a lovely yard and deck available to guests. Breakfast was great each morning. Would recommend and stay again.

Lovely old home turned into a small bed and breakfast style inn. We chose a smaller room with a view of the harbor. The common areas are spacious and comfortable, and the cooked breakfast each morning is wonderful. The hosts are kind and responsive. Great place to stay on Grand Manan.

What a gem this bed and breakfast is. We chose the Wildflower room for our 2 night stay and absolutely loved it. The room was bright and airy and the bathroom was well appointed with a shower and separate tub. We had a mini fridge , a Keurig machine, microwave and a water cooler all in our room ! The owner was welcoming and answered all our many questions about the island, she grew up there so that was a bonus for us, she made wonderful breakfasts and truly made us feel welcome . Loved the island and we will be back !

We booked through Booking.com and it was a lovely cozy room. Breakfast was already included with the booking. They don't have any other meal services as of now, it's just the breakfast. Located very close to the Grand Manan Ferry and other viewpoints as well.

It was worth going to Grand Manan just to stay at Compass Rose Inn! A beautiful, centrally-located inn, spacious attractive and well appointed rooms, and a delicious breakfast that you would expect from a top notch b&b. Stunning views, comfortable bed and chairs, and everything a traveler needs. Thank you!
