My wife and I decided to escape Ogden for an evening and decided to stay the night in Huntsville. After reviewing the lodging options in the Valley, we decided to pay a visit to The Compass Rose Lodge, and we were not disappointed.
We loved the modern farmhouse loft aesthetic. It's a little rustic, but with clean modern lines. It's like Apple Store meets mountain lodge. The room (along with the rest of the lodge) was spotless, and the bed, super comfy. I loved all the small details, like the log gage rack is solid wood and real leather, and the chairs in the room were also real leather. One of the cool details was how the bathroom mirror has a heated center, so it doesn't fog up while you shower. Each side table next to the bed had two USB plugs too, which is always appreciated.
Our complimentary breakfast was enjoyed in the cafe. My wife had an amazing chocolate muffin, and I had a breakfast sandwich made from a delicious sausage patty and egg on a fresh toasted croissant. And the coffee was fresh and spectacular!
We were very interested in the observatory, but were too tired to partake of the tour, so we will have to swing by another night to check it out.
