I had a fantastic experience! The location right by the canal is super beautiful. The area in general has a lot of interesting architecture with canals giving it a special touch. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide selection to choose from. The bar served great drinks in a pleasant atmosphere. My well equipped, spotlessly clean, and super comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay – I would definitely come back!

This hotel is much better than many of| the reviews suggest. Plus points are || 2 mins to metro station with trains every 4 mins. In centre in 10 mins.||2 minutes to Water bus which is a brilliant way to get around.||It's quiet, very quiet.||Smashing staff.||Good bar, small menu and enough guests using it to have some atmosphere.||Very clean.||Rooms functional but smart and have everything you need. Bed is very comfy, walk-in shower fine.||People have criticised used some things. Yes, the shower pressure is low, but you can still use the rain shower fine, I just wouldn't describe it as invigorating. Some people have complained about a thin mattress and missed the larger mattress underneath a mattress topper. Toiletries in the bathroom are fine but not luxury (and you are not paying luxury prices).||I enjoyed breakfast but I enjoy some decent cereal and toast. Both available but the toaster is more a social opportunity to chat to other guests as it is much slower than usual. ||Would I stay again? Yes. Always remember the price point and for me it is great value.

We recently stayed at Comwell Copenhagen Portside Dolce for three nights and were very happy with the experience. Check-in was smooth and easy, with very friendly front office staff. The hotel was also flexible and accommodated our request for a complementary early check-in, which we really appreciated after a long-haul flight from Australia.||We had booked a standard room, which, while compact, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The modern, airy, and light-filled design made the space feel fresh and welcoming. I was initially worried when I saw the very thin mattress on the bed, but to my surprise, it was exceptionally comfortable. The pillows were also soft, which I really appreciated. Quite often, I find hotel pillows too hard and thick, leading to neck pain by morning—but not here. Another standout feature was how quiet and peaceful the hotel was, despite being at full capacity. The rooms were very well soundproofed, which made for an undisturbed and restful stay. ||The bathroom was generously sized for a European hotel, and we really appreciated the high-pressure hot water rain shower, along with the additional hand shower.||We did notice that the room lacked a phone, fridge, and complimentary bottled water, but after staying at another hotel in Copenhagen, we figured it was common practice in Danish hotels.||The location was also excellent—just a few steps from Orientkaj metro station, which made getting into the city quick and easy. Had we known it was so easy to get about by metro in Copenhagen, and that the Comwell was located so closely to the metro station, we would have stayed at the Comwell for the full duration of our trip- rather than book another hotel closer to the city for the conference I was attending. |We would definitely return to Comwell Copenhagen, if we ever do another trip to Denmark.

TL;DR: Paid a premium for a stress-free family holiday — got clogged drains, broken toilet lid, 2 towels for 3 guests, and poor cleaning instead. Manager offered a free dinner, but endless maintenance and service issues ruined the stay. Won’t return. ⸻ Full Review: I rarely write long reviews, but my stay here has been so disappointing that I feel other travelers should know. Location: ★★★★★ – Convenient and easy to get around from here. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Room Quality: ★★☆☆☆ – On our very first night, we arrived at midnight to a room with a broken toilet lid and a completely clogged shower drain. For a 4-star hotel at this price, this is unacceptable. We were moved to another room the next day, but no upgrade or real compensation was offered. I had to move all our unpacked belongings myself — no staff help beyond a trolley. Even in the new room, the sink was clogged and only fixed after a second request. Housekeeping: ★☆☆☆☆ – Poor attention to detail. We are three people in the room, yet after cleaning, we repeatedly received only two towels. This happened more than once, and having to constantly ask for basics is just exhausting. Cleaning also left toilet stains untouched, and tea/coffee amenities weren’t replenished. With no phone in the room, I had to go to the lobby at midnight just to ask for a tea bag. Communication: ★☆☆☆☆ – Reaching the hotel by phone (even via the number on Google Maps) is nearly impossible. Staff admitted it’s rarely answered. Management Response: The manager did offer a complimentary dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, which I appreciated, was great. But given the number and seriousness of the problems, it didn’t come close to compensating for the experience. Overall: I booked this for a once-a-year family vacation, paying a premium for comfort and peace of mind. Instead, I’ve spent my time dealing with maintenance, chasing towels, and fixing problems. This stay has completely soured my impression of the hotel — I won’t be returning.

Great hotel with comfy bed and a massive bath. Nice clean small gym. Breakfast ran smoothly despite being busy with good vegan and gluten free options. Ideally I would have like other allergens labeled on the gluten free options - better than having to ask when you're still half asleep.

We stayed here as we were joining a group tour later and they were using this hotel, so it made practical sense to book at the same place. |The hotel is very conveniently located.. right next to the metro station and that makes getting around very easy.|The breakfast spread is very good as is the hotel bar. The common spaces in the hotel arr large and open and very modern. There is also a nice coworking space near the lobby.|The down sides are that you will not get an early check in without payment, and that from one day to the next, the take forever to make your room (one day our room was not even made till 5 pm).

Great hotel, everything was clean and modern. The superior double room had more than enough space and the tub was fantastic. ||I was surprised they recognized the Wyndham diamond membership - got free early check in at noon, snacks, etc etc. Friendly and efficient service. ||Breakfast was delicious and healthy, although it does become a zoo at certain times with too many people and too few food stations. ||Location wise, it's farther out from the city center. It's right next to the metro station, but still 15-20 minutes subway ride to the center. Not the biggest deal and I prefer the quiet around the hotel. Gorgeous to walk around. ||Overall, had an awesome time here. Booked using points, which was a fantastic value. Wouldn't mind returning to this location next time I'm in the city.

The staff members were so nice and helpful. A gentleman called Nick at the breakfast buffet was so polite yet friendly. The breakfast also had a variety of options. The 'Small double room' was small, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean with all amenities you need. I absolutely loved the fact that the hotel was located a few meters from a metro station. I could use it to go everywhere I needed to. I recommend this hotel and would go back.
