This restaurant truly stands out for its amasing food and high-quality ingredients. Every dish was packed with incredible flavours—definitely a place for anyone who appreciates fine cuisine. The ambiance is lovely, and the attention to detail in the presentation is impressive. However, the service was surprisingly slow. While I don’t mind a relaxed dining experience, the long wait times between courses became frustrating. The staff was friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed, which detracted from an otherwise fantastic experience. If they could speed up the service, this place would be perfect. Still, the food alone makes it worth a visit—just be prepared for a leisurely pace!

The restaurant is one of the well-known in the area so yesterday we decided to have our dinner/ cocktails there. The atmosphere is really impressive especially during the night due to the candles. On the other hand, we were very disappointed. We order 2 cocktails (nice presentation but that had almost no alcohol, so I do not recommend cocktails there). The food came with one hour delay because the kitchen was busy, when only 1/3 of the restaurant was occupied.

The aesthetics of this place is amazing great place to take pictures with your group. The food is delicious along with the presentation. Perfect spot for date night the meal, atmosphere and service is wonderful! The cochinita pibil is great and the portions are enough to share with two people.

Excellent in all the ways. Food is incredible. The agua frescas are so good. The mint lemonade & strawberry lemonade are insane. The tower of Valladolid sausage was so good. Wait staff super friendly and the vibe of the whole place is so unique and full of art. Also a very cool shop attached to the restaurant where I bought really cool art from a local artist.

Awsome place. Even has a cute boutique store. Beef rib was amazing. So soft and pire bliss. Cocktails are a must. Black magic is a citric beverage fullnof flavor and freshness. Will definitely come back

Amazing food and atmosphere! The place is well decorated and with works to expanding. We had sea food tower (10/10), beets carpaccio, tacos (10/10) and octopus. All dishes were super delicious, but two of them I could eat any day, any time. Totally recommend!

A beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious food. Menu was very rich with many vegetarian alternatives. They are friendly and fast in service.

Google
By far the best restaurant in whole Yucatán! The food has a wide range from fusion to regional cousin and each dish comes with a nice little twist which you find in no other restaurant. The dishes are really sophisticated and high quality. Besides the food, the service was also amazing. Our waiter, Manuel, was very kind, attentively and with an inspiring positive attitude. We felt welcomed from the very beginning. Last but not least, the ambient of the restaurant is very rich in detail and cozy. We liked it much.

Yelp
On the recommendation of our concierge, we came here for lunch. There is a lovely garden in the back that seems nice at night. There was a guitarist playing live music during our lunch, which was very nice. The Balam cocktail was delicious. It's quite large too, so it's good value. Our waiter pointed out several recommended dishes when we got the menu. We got the Chachacua Conato as appetizer to share. It's like a tamale stuffed with pibil with a tangy tomato sauce and pickled onions. It was delicious! For entree, I got the Achiote Octopus, which is served with vegetables and mashed sweet potato. The portion is quite large. The spice used on the octopus was great. Hubby got the Cochinita Pibil, which was quite delicious as well. It's served with fresh corn tortillas. Conato is definitely a great restaurant with delicious drinks and food. The ambiance is nice too.

Yelp
We stopped through this charming city on our way back to tulum from chichen itza. The restaurant is beautifully decorated- very bohemian chic and there is a small store at the front. You can also sit outside in the little garden to dine. They have an English menu which is very helpful for travelers. I ordered the salmon tacos and I was blown away, they were so delicious. Everything was chopped up very fine and all of the flavors blended together so splendidly. We also got the lime soup (just ok) which tasted like chicken soup with a touch of lime & it had little tortilla strips on top. The salad we got was very fresh tasting and the citrus dressing was delicious. We also got the squash dish and it was also just ok- it wasn't exactly what I expected, there was a red sauce on top of a vegetable medley but we did eat all of the cheese chunks out of it. We were a little nervous parking on the street in front since there weren't any signs but it seemed to be alright! I would also recommend strolling down the the church/town center when you finish your meal.

Yelp
We were told this was the best spot in Valladolid to get lunch, and it was great. The restaurant itself was very interesting in the way it was designed. It has some really cool things to look at. We sat in the courtyard but had fans, so we can't complain. We ordered the guacamole, arrachera and the octopus. Everything tasted good, we enjoyed it all. The service was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was good, the music was appropriate and not very loud.

Yelp
Really nice place and ambiance, the hardest part is to decide what to eat, we had cochinita sopes, ravioles de Chaya and árrachera. For desert, we had chocolate with habanero, we were hesitant about the mix, but it was really good, the very light hint of habanero after each bite was interesting, very light hint, we recommend to try. Service was quick and efficient

Yelp
The atmosphere was relaxed and very well designed, loved the art on the walls! The service was great! They were out of our first choices, so tried other dishes. The chicken dishes were ok, but lacked in some flavor and one was a bit dry. But the meatloaf was very excellent, I highly recommend it!

Yelp
A cute & trendy restaurant in the heart of Valladolid, a perfect stop for anyone visiting Chichen Itza. You walk through a boutique clothing store to enter this beautiful space - open, airy, lots of plants, amazing art. First shoutout to the cocktails - the mango Balam was incredible, with a frozen mango on top of the drink and the perfect spicy kick. The Bloody Maria's very incredibly fresh, and I would highly recommend anything with passionfruit if you prefer a sweet cocktail. The food was equally stunning. The guacamole with chorizo is a great start to the meal, followed by the cochinita pibil sopes. The asada tacos were complemented by the blistered sun gold tomatoes and umami mushrooms. The spicy shrimp entree was also good, although a bit more American with the mashed potatoes side. Overall, a fantastic experience with lovely service! PSA: check out the bathroom for chicas ;)

Yelp
Overall: Meh. Service is good, and ambiance is okay. But the food isn't great. Ordered tacos, and they were super oily. Could not really eat them. The bread in the Ravioli (Chaya) was super oily too -- smelled low quality oil. Completely unhealthy.

Yelp
Really beautiful place at the heart of Valladolid, good food, music and reasonably priced. Highly recommend it!

Yelp
I ate an early dinner Sunday night at Conato. It is only three blocks south of the Central plaza but feels very local. The entry is an interesting series of rooms for shopping, then the bar, then a big open room inside and an even larger patio. The decor is a fascinting mix of paintings, murals and found objects. Candles abound at night and because I ate early when I was leaving a three piece ensemble was just starting to play in the patio. I should have dined later so I could stay. The food was very interesting presented and the quality of the ingredients was high. Service in both English and Spanish was friendly and prompt. I plan to return here while I am still in Valladolid, Mexico.

Yelp
Had a delicious catch of the day. Bit expensive but I'd say the quality is worthwhile. Excellent service and really nice vibes as the restaurant.

Yelp
Restaurant looks very nice and menu selections look great. Food and selections are creative however, didn't live up to the Yelp review expectations...steak tacos were greasy, vegan tacos didn't have a lot of flavor and burger taste was off (per my son's calibrated taste). Lots of mosquitos, which anyway is on par for all of the restaurants we've been to. Loud music. Service and people were very nice and hence three stars.

Yelp
Fabulous food. Lovely garden ambiance. We had the shrimp and salmon. Both cooked marvelously and spiced well (not too hot) - vegetables and potatoes so fresh and deliciously prepared. The chocolate sweet potato and marzipan cake is the perfect end note. Best restaurant in Valladolid.

Yelp
This restaurant was an amazing stop on our way back from Chichén Itza! Casual but cool with an outdoor tropical patio and a cool indoor area with art as well. Everything we ordered was great! A wide variety of options with a burger, pasta, salads, tacos, and Mayan/Yucatán inspired dishes. Definitely try a drink as well. I got the Balam Mezcal drink and it was so good and came with a spicy fruit popsicle on top. For food I ordered the shrimp achiote. The presentation was super pretty and the good tasted amazing as well and was great quality for the price (drink only $7 USD and shrimp dish only $13.5 USD).

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Have eaten here multiple times it has always been incredible! The ambiance and the art really makes it a special experience!

Yelp
I'm actually sad that this restaurant is in this small Mexican town that I can't visit on the regular. I loved everything about this place. The food, the cocktails, the ambiance, the multiple type of dining rooms so you can eat in whatever type of experience you want. The bright colors of the walls and the paintings are so inviting and just make you feel happy. You are enveloped in the art and it creates a great vibe for dining. The menu has so much variety. All the ingredients are super fresh! I loved the wide variety of Mexican classics mixed with other culinary influences. We ordered the mushroom and onion appetizer that was in the curry cream sauce and it was sooooooo flavorful. The cilantro shrimp pasta was amazing! And the smoky pulled chicken dish cooked in the tamale with platanos was unreal. Wow. I really can't get over how good this meal was. Especially for the price! You can't beat how great it was for such little money. The service was super friendly and accommodating. Wow. Make sure you check this place out!

Yelp
This place was amazing!! We ordered the pork ribs which honestly blew my mind. The panuchos with lomitos which were served like tacos with pork on it were less awesome but still pretty good. The drinks were also really well done. The mango Caribe Conato was really refreshing, highly recommend. I was somehow expecting a laid back traditional restaurant and wasn't expecting a more high end restaurant so that was surprising but was a good surprise. It was delicious.

Yelp
Loved loved loved this place. Great food and service. Tried some traditional Yucatán dishes and they didn't disappoint.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant just a few blocks from the center of town--perfect for romantic date night or just a hip meal with friends. Tasty cocktails (I highly suggest the banana rum cocktail!) and the food was creative and delicious as well. There's also a cute concept store at the entrance of the restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This is a little off the beaten path, a few blocks from the zolaco, but is worth the walk. The restaurant is decorated in Frida Kahlo art with a lovely courtyard in the middle. While we were there, they had a mariachi band come and play and had another band setting up on their stage. As for the food, it was very tasty. The chips were the best I had in Valladolid, while the guac was no slouch either. While I never really considered getting fajitas in Mexico, I'm glad our server suggested it, because it was fantastic.

Yelp
Another excellent addition to the culinary of Valladolid. Great kitchen and a very "eclectic " art collection to enjoy while waiting for food to show at you table. Service is at times too "friendly" and the little talk can be slightly overwhelming. Food, however, is real good. Chaya empanadas were fantastic and the arrachera was superb! Worth the walk- through a beautiful, very rich from an architectural standpoint -street three blocks from the central plaza.

Yelp
A must when visiting Valladolid!!! Authentic Yucatecan & Mexican food all with a sophisticated twist!!! Very attentive staff! Affordable! Very interesting art work everywhere and a great gift shop!!

Yelp
Excellent Service and Nice Atmosphere - I Will Definitely Return! I ate dinner at Conato Restaurant one evening during my stay in Valladolid with friends that I met at my hostel. I ordered a salad, which tasted average. I was a little bit disappointed because it was basically just a large plate full of mostly lettuce, and I wished it had included more vegetables and toppings. The dishes that my friends ordered looked delicious and although my meal wasn't the best, I definitely plan to return to Conato on my next trip to Valladolid to sample more of their menu. The menu had a good selection of options and included pasta dishes, Mexican favourites and vegetarian-friendly meals and everything was presented beautifully. This is a good mid-range restaurant - not super casual but not super fancy or expensive either. I really enjoyed the relaxing evening atmosphere at Conato. The décor was nice, the restaurant was located in an historic colonial building near the centre of the city and the service was attentive, friendly and overall, excellent. I recommend eating at this restaurant in the evening for dinner. I look forward to returning here next time I am in Valladolid!

Yelp
We had a great time in this restaurant. Everything was really nice. From the good tunes (maybe a bit loud for sensitive people), to the nice location with the beautiful garden in the back, the attentive guys working there (one brought my fiance a mosquito spray just because he saw her fighting them), the amazing food to the the good cocktails. The starter guacamole was a good start even keeping the already high Mexican guacamole level in mind. I had a pasta diabólica with shrimps (which was not very spicy, no worries) and my fiance chicken, both of which we definitely could recommend. The 3 accompanying salsas were also great with one being not spicy at all, the other one a bit and one being super spicy but also soooo good. Would always come back!

Yelp
Great ambience and great waiters. The food was so so, but cheap. We sat on the terrace which was very nice.

Yelp
What a very pleasant surprise! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the food and service were exemplary. Absolutely if I get back that direction I would stop and enjoy the great cuisine and exceptional artisan beer. Thanks!

Yelp
Overall very enjoyable. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful! Food was very healthy and it's a decent choice for vegetarians/vegans, but was a tiny bit lacking in flavor for my tastes. The decor and ambiance are nice.

Yelp
This place is a real gem and well worth a visit. Like many places in Valladolid, it doesn't look like much from the street, but when you walk through the entrance and into the restaurant there is a welcoming, colorful courtyard to enjoy. Our waiter was warm, friendly, and gave great advice on what to try from the menu as it was our first time in the city. We ordered the house platter for 4 which was basically a mix of Yukatan and Mayan specialties, which was outstanding. Great food quality, super tasty, plentiful and a real sense of experiencing local cuisine at its best. The only downside for us was that we (2 adults, one teen and one 7 year old) couldn't finish it and felt bad that we weren't able to take it with us. The bill was as promised and incredibly good value for what they served. My advice is to trust the waiter, order what they recommend and enjoy. Thanks for a memorable meal Conato!

Yelp
We came here as a group of 7 and immediatly received a beautiful table at their patio. Food and drinks were delicious and suprisingly cheap. There even was a live-band playing spanish songs which totally made this a perfect night out!

Yelp
Very kind and attentive waiters, although I was the only person in the restaurant the service was excellent. The meal was good quality, overall a thumbs up. Would go there again.
