Highlights

Conca dei Marini is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It is situated on a hill close to the coast and between Amalfi and Furore. It was perhaps founded by the Etruscans with the name of Cossa, and was conquered by the Romans in 272 BC.

"Yes, this is a picture of the quaint kitchen at this two-bedroom cliffside villa in Conca dei Marini—but trust us, the private terrace here that looks over the sea with 180-degree views of the coast is simply magical." - Madison Flager,Caitlin Morton

Yelp
Good restaurant with a great view of the Amalfi Coast in Conca Dei Marini. Super close to where we were staying. Unfortunately it rained the whole day we were there, but I can see how amazing the view was regardless. Their grilled prawns were delicious. Their rib eye steak (en trecoute) was a bit tough, but my husbands tagliate was great! Tiramisu was okay, but my son loved their chocolate gelato with chocolate syrup.

Yelp
Stunning sunset view, classically decorated restaurant with seaside view. Delicious seafood and top notch tasty pastas. A place that will for surely makes great memories.

Anna L.

Yelp
The view at this restaurant over the sunset was absolutely stunning. Our appetizers and cocktails were incredible. However, our dinner was lacking. The carbonara had bacon and not guanciere and the sauce appeared to have cream in it. We had done a pasta making class in Rome and perhaps we should have heeded their advice not to eat Carbonara in southern italy. The gnocchi pomodora tasted like it was not fresh. The rushed plates suggest that these were not home made. It also cost us 100 euros to get there from Amalfi which was quite close. If you are nearby, I highly recommend coming for drinks and some appetizers but perhaps eat somewhere with more authentic food.

Amy G.

Yelp
This is definitely the best restaurant I have ever been to. The price is reasonable, the service is perfect, the food is tasty and the views are impeccable. Loved the romantic ambience and the decor. The plates were also home made ceramic plates and the chef was very approachable and easy to talk to. All their servers, especially Francesco were very sweet and attentive. We went here for 4 days continuously due to their amazing service. This is definitely the crown jewel of restaurants on the Amalfi coast.

Yelp
A delightful setting for excellent food with service from a fun staff. The menu is enormous. We enjoyed the cocktails and desserts as well as the pasta dishes. Lemon ricotta ravioli were great. Espresso martini is a must.

John A.

Yelp
5 years later and it's even better than it was. The chef prepared his finest dishes. Fresh fish, beautiful pasta, wonderful sauces and flavorful. Chef Fiorenzo and his crew are the finest in Italy. The professional waitstaff pay attention to every detail. The wine sommelier chose a great local white frezzante falaghina. Love it here!!

Yelp
We went for the lemon tour and dinner. He does a lunch as well. We happened to be the only couple so it was a private tour. Chefiore was friendly, personable and patient. He took us to his private villa with a few VERY old trees. He explained how to prune and keep the trees healthy to continue to thrive and produce incredible lemons . Then back at the restaurant with unbelievable views- he gave us a lesson on making limonchello. Then a four course meal that was so spectacular! It was way too much food for my husband and I- all lemon themed- and most delicious. If you are in Amalfi you are missing our on an incredible experience and meeting the nicest people if you do not include Le Bonta in your itinerary.

Don B.

Yelp
I got lucky pulling this restaurant recommendation up on Yelp for our last night on the Amalfi Coast. This is an outstanding authentic family-style restaurant in Conca dei Marini. We were greeted warmly and led promptly to a table. It was a very windy night so we could not enjoy the open air, but it did not detract from the experience. The pizzas were fabulous and the atmosphere raucous. The owner and staff were very gracious. We couldn't have been happier to finish our trip at this restaurant. We were only sad that we didn't spend more time in the village of Conca dei Marini.

Natalie D.

Yelp
After arriving to conca, we searched and found this gem of a place to eat. The service was phenomenal, the food was amazing, and the view was to die for! Thank you!

Sonia A.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience with Chefiore at La Bonta de Capo. We did the lemon tour, limoncello class and dinner. We cannot express how extraordinary the service, the location, the food and drinks were. The price for all this is a total bargain for what you get. We had the experience of our lives and one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. The only thing to note is that the location is only accessible by taxi or car. It is high up on a cliff so be prepared to pay the price for the taxi. All worth it, though, every penny!

Grace A.

Yelp
We did the Limoncello tour with the chef and it was our favorite day in Italy thus far! Chef Fiore was the kindest person we have encountered in Italy. He showed us his garden with the lemon trees, and showed us how to make limoncello from scratch. After, we had a four course meal that was the best meal we've had in our tour of Itay. The fish was the best fish I have ever had. He also let me buy one of the plates that they use, which are gorgeously decorated with the name of the restaurant on them. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Diana H.

Yelp
Our day tour driver (Francesco Marrapese) suggested this place for lunch - told us it was off the beaten path, away from the crowds at Amalfi, good food, reasonable prices. He was SO right! Our group of 11 people all agreed it was the best meal we had during our weeklong stay on the Amalfi Coast. The food and service was impeccable.

Bob G.

Yelp
One word - outstanding! We went to Le Bonta del Capo for lunch after touring the Amalfi coast. It was a challenge to get to, but certainly worth the effort! The views were breathtaking (the day was perfectly clear). We started with an appetizer sampler that included eggplant, bruschetta, a caprese salad, fried shrimp crusted with coconut and lemon - unbelievable! The pasta course was ravioli- one with ricotta and the other with sea bass and citrus - too good for words. Our final course was a simple sea bream (mild) served with a tomato and olive oil sauce. Finished with lemon sorbet (couldn't eat another thing!) The service was impeccable, the chef came out to make sure we were satisfied- we've had many good meals in Italy, but this one has been the best! Bravo!!

Patrick N.

Yelp
We drove here from our agriturismo for lunch. It's difficult to get to, but oh wow. This was the best meal we had in the region, and possibly in Rome. The service was top notch and the view itself deserves a five star. We chatted with our waiter for a while and we even exchanged Instagrams and took a selfie together. Now the food: - grilled cuttlefish - nicely charred. Fresh, right amount of chewiness. - ravoli - the lemon and cheese were delicious. It was appetizing. - grilled prawns - so fresh and perfectly grilled. The meat was still moist and the prawn head was awesome. Tldr; delicious, nice view, great service.

Reese N.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Came here due to the yelp reviews. The filet was amazing, the sea bass was excellent, and the margarita pizza was on point. We sat on the balcony with an excellent view and there was beautiful live music. Great ambiance. Staff was excellent and attentive. So glad we can here!

Emitom H.

Yelp
We happened upon Le Bonta del Capo when we arrived late at night to the area and had trouble finding dinner. The restaurant was a town away from where we were staying, but it was worth the drive! We were able to find street parking down the street from the restaurant. The pizza was delicious, well-priced, and a large portion. The service was efficient and we were seated right away even though we did not have a reservation. I would definitely recommend Le Bonta del Capo to anyone traveling in the area, especially if you need a late dinner!

Ralph G.

Yelp
Excellent sea food pasta! Actually, all our orders were delicious. Pistachio gelato was so good!!

Caitlin H.

Yelp
We would have never found this gem if it hadn't been for our driver and want to spread the word! Best view from a restaurant I've ever seen. The food and service was great too. Its up on the hill so the view is INCREDIBLE. Lovely outdoor patio, half of which is covered and half open so you can sit in the shade or sun. I think its off the beaten path location helps keep the prices low as well, such a bargain for what you get in food and atmosphere. We were there for lunch. The wine list was extensive and very well priced. We started with the caprese salad and the tomatoes were so ripe and delicious. A very good portion. I had the sea bass ravioli with citrus. I had never seen something like that before in the States and I'm so glad I tried something new. My husband got the cuttlefish and it was cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all. The chef came out at the end to make sure we enjoyed our meal, it was so nice to meet and thank him. What a great spot!

Nick R.

Yelp
Absolute gem of a restaurant. Value unmatched, service incredible, and food is amazing. We stayed in Conca dei Marini for a week and have eaten here three times. Not your typical Positano tourist spot; this place is flooded with locals. The fried mixed fish are amazing, bolognese off the hook. Spaghetti 7 flavors is so good and the fish, smoked grilled mozzarella and everything else we tried was awesome. The chef is a gregarious, hilarious dude who took us on a limoncello tour of their garden where they grow their veggies and lemons and taught us how to make limoncello. Will go back again and highly recommend if you're looking for authentic, amazing food that isn't a tourist trap.

Paige D.

Yelp
My husband and I came upon this cozy restaurant the first day of our trip to the Amalfi and we went back three more times during our stay. The food is beyond amazing and the owner and chef (as well as the rest of the staff) are so kind and considerate. In addition to their incredible food, they also offer a limoncello tour, which of course we had to do :) and the four course meal afterwards allowed us to try food we would never think of ordering--all fantastic and all delicious! I cannot recommend this place enough (highly recommend the calamari, the Bolognese, the fish, the spaghetti...basically all of it!)

Robert C.

Yelp
Went here on our honeymoon one night as we didn't feel like venturing back down into Amalfi for dinner and we're so very glad that we did! The food here was absolutely delicious, service was top notch, and although it was well into the evening, the view from the restaurant was spectacular as we watched a thunder storm roll past the coast with lightning strikes happening every few minutes out in the sea. Fried rice balls for an appetizer were on point and the red sauce for dipping was stellar. For the main course we had the lemon ravioli and the 7 flavors spaghetti and both were some of the best pasta we have ever tasted. Dessert was tiramisu and strawberries with ice cream. All around an absolutely great experience and I'd highly recommend going here if you're in the Amalfi area. Street parking was available right outside the restaurant as well so that was a huge bonus. A+A

Heidi C.

Yelp
Fabulous food, fabulous experience all served up by Chef Fiore! We opted for the "lemon tour" which consisted of a limoncello making class and a fantastic 4 course lemon themed meal. Fiore is not only a talented chef but a funny, and engaging host. The lemon ravioli was to die for and the Sea Bream cooked to perfection. The combination of superior food and value is unheard of on the Amalfi coast! We enjoyed it so much we will be returning for a meal later this week! Oh and did I mention the view? It is breathtaking!

Heather B.

Yelp
We absolute love this place! Great staff, delicious food and a stunning view, what more could you ask for?

John A.

Yelp
We found this restaurant by chance and we feel extremely fortunate. The chef Fiore is meticulous in preparation and delivery. The food was the absolute best. Try the octopus salad. The lemon ravioli was marvelous and the local fish was presented well but digested even better. I would highly recommend the lemoncello making class. You will learn so much and have a memorable time. We loved the wait staff. They were very friendly. Find this restaurant if you make it to the Amalfi coast. Ask for the chef. Bon appetito!!

Brittany F.

Yelp
One of the best meals I had on the Amalfi Coast! This was the first place I went after I landed in Italy. I was worried they were going to close, as I their hours are listed until 2:30 for lunch and I arrived at 2:35. I called them to let them know I was on my way and they were very family. There is plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant. You walk up a set of stairs and all you see is views from every angle. Simply breathtaking! The patio of the restaurant itself is very simple, no frills. It's all about the view and the food. I ordered a selection of Italian dishes: prosciutto and melon, spaghetti vongole, and lemon ricotta ravioli. Everything was perfect. Just how you dream Italian food should taste! The terimisu for dessert was divine. Service was friendly and the prices were surprisingly affordable. Highly recommend.

Brooke J.

Yelp
Wish we were back in Conca Di Marini and had the opportunity to eat here again. The food was wonderful and they had live music and just an all around wonderful atmosphere. The combined with the incredible view makes for a GREAT night out. Would definitely recommend!

Eli T.

Yelp
The chef is amazing - nice, empathetic, generous, kind, and great. The food was delicious, the energy vibrant, the music lively, the service amazing, and price very reasonable. We ordered the ravioli, rice cakes, mozzarella, steak fillet, sea bass, and everything was great. We ended up dancing as well, there. It seemed like the chef owned the restaurant. His staff were attentive and made things look easy. The restaurant was full of locals which is always something we look for. One of the best places to eat in Italy- and definitely on the Amalfi Coast. We went there on a rainy and stormy evening and our 3 hour experience was delightful and we came back wanting more!

Victor J.

Yelp
It was a dark and stormy night and all hope was lost for us at our villa. We were hungry and running out of options. We decided to venture out and get soaking wet to get here thinking it wouldn't be worth it. Ended up being the best night we had on our 10 day trip here in Italy. Amazing food with amazing service. Had the pleasure of meeting the chief. All locals here, felt super genuine and comfortable.

Dionis D.

Yelp
This is the best Italian restaurant I've ate at in all of Italy. The food is so authentic, fresh, homemade, and delicious. The waiters and staff are so fast, friendly, and kind. The view is gorgeous. We avoided the tourist traps and ate at this family run restaurant everyday for 3 days. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Italy.

Shannon A.

Yelp
We were staying at an airbnb in Conca dei Marini and there aren't a ton of restaurant options. They have a large open air seating area with nice views. Their menu is incredibly large so you are bound to find something!

Reyna N.

Yelp
Ok wow. I usually don't do reviews but it is my first time in the Almafi coast and I couldn't ask for a better experience! The food, the service, amazing from start to finish. We had the eggplant parmigiana, caprese salad, potato croquettes, and the lobster linguini. The dessert was also amazing! Tiramisu & lemon cake. We watched the day turn to night with a phenomenal view of the Mediterranean Sea. (Sit in the back corner so you can get a full view and you can see the ocean meeting the sky)

Ricardo F.

Yelp
One of the best meals of my life!!!!! We did a lemoncello tour followed by a meal and it was an amazing experience!!!!! Che Fiori took us on the tour, we prepared some lemoncello and had a outstanding meal after it. I highly recommend!!!!

Kindra E.

Yelp
Holy man! We driver for the day (Roberto Di Palma who was amazing...look him up!) and he took us here for lunch. It's off the tourist trap route and was absolutely fantastic!! The lemon ricotta ravioli were sooo good. We also had the caprese salad. I had a seafood pasta. Everything was so full of flavor we didn't want the meal to end. The view from this location is breathtaking! Not on the water but up in the hills for the perfect view while you eat. The owner/chef stopped to talk to us and sent out a special appetizer. Such great friendly service! This restaurant is absolutely on our list for the next time we're close.

Lauren T.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant in Ravello, and perhaps the best view of Amalfi. It's an upscale restaurant in a hotel and the food is quite good. The home made pasta was delicious, as well as the fresh seafood. And not to mention the appetizer trio is not one to miss. Definitely recommend it ten times over!

Claire P.

Yelp
Four. The amount of times eaten here during our week long stay on the Amalfi Coast. This restaurant is truly a gem among them all. Not only is the food among the best I've ever had in Italy but the service is impeccable and makes this establishment truly stand out . The complimentary car service is a really nice touch and not just a necessity especially in Conca dei Marini but possibly in all of the Amalfi Coast. Every single dish Chef Fiore prepared was so full of flavor, fresh, authentic, and not to mention very reasonably priced. We sat next to the kitchen twice (best seat in the house) and each night there would be someone popping in to say hello or would ask for a picture and every night after the kitchen closes he would walk out into the restaurant, make his rounds and speak to everyone. Antonio, the manager took care of us from the very first night we arrived after being picked up by car by none other than "The Boss" himself. Giusy was so sweet and all the waiters were so attentive and quick, each one had a great sense of humor. Every single person made us feel so welcome and at home. We are truly going to miss this! They made our holiday that much more memorable! We will be back!

Marina S.

Yelp
We had dinner here every single evening! It was close to our villa and we were very and very surprised of super prices and quality food. Order everything you want it will be very tasty! Must try ravioli limone, eggplant parmigiana, fish, pasta and gelato limone. We loved it!

Gabriele P.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. Had a car pick us up from the house we were staying at, and drop us off after dinner. ( driver was the sweetest man ever)The staff was very friendly and attentive. The chef sent out a few plates of appetizers on the house and came out to filet the fish. Food was absolutely wonderful!! Would highly recommend!

Apple P.

Yelp
I usually rarely post a review of a restaurant but the view, wine, food and service was amazing at Le Bonta del Capo. Best all around restaurant in Italy that we experienced. Can't wait to dine there again!

Doris S.

Yelp
Fantastic! Excellent views, great staff but best of all, really great food. Fresh! Good portions. We ordered several appetizers and a plate of gnocchi so we could all taste it and I wish I did not have to share! We each had a different 1st and 2nd plate and dessert. Everything was excellent. Priced very reasonably. Several good restaurants in town but this was by far our favorite. Come casual or dressy. Open for lunch, dinner and/or just gelato.

S L.

Yelp
Was recommended this place by our air b n b hostess, Filomena. (and by the way I highly recommend her lovely villa just down the street from this restaurant!) The food was terrific! And the owner Antonio, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We felt like family! As others have stated this is not a touristy spot. Locals hang out here and it's next to the supermarket which is really cool. All of the waitstaff were attentive and fun! Our family went back there for dinner three !! and stopped by our first morning for coffee cheese bread. They don't really serve breakfast but they were quite accommodating. I highly recommend this little village as opposed to the big touristy places. It was 500 m from our Airbnb and the street was lined with blooming jasmine.

Alex D.

Yelp
UPDATE: The chef came to our bed and breakfast personally to apologize and offer a bottle of wine to us. We generally appreciate this and found his apology to be sincere. He mentioned Antonio was no longer with the restaurant as this has happened before and we hope this to be true. It was a bad experience caused by one person (Antonio) and we do not want to blame the restaurant itself as the chef seems like a genuine person. Due to this we have updated our review from 1 to 3 stars. Original: I've never had a worse experience at a restaurant in my life. We ordered wine and cheese as an appetizer which was fine. We then proceeded to wait 45-60 minutes and no one came back to the table. Due to this, we went to the front desk and asked to pay and leave. We did this and were then confronted by Antonio. Antonio proceeded to make excuses upon excuses as to why this happened even blaming it on us for not getting his attention sooner (no way too because he never was around). He gave us a free appetizer to make up for it and offered my wife one, however, she did want it. Because she did not want it, he looked at me angrily and said "you tell her.". That was the final straw. We got up right then and left. I cannot see how a restaurant makes a mistake then proceeds to continually double down on this mistake and finally insults the guests. Absolutely horrible.

Alexandra C.

Yelp
This place is incredible. The service, outstanding. The food, out of this world. The view, breathtaking. I am not a hyperbolic person, but this place is just beyond. The servers were warm and friendly, going above and beyond to accommodate. We stayed in Conca dei Marini in September 2017, and ate here multiple nights, because it was just unbeatable. Chef Fiore and Antonio, the Maitre'd were so wonderful. Can't stop gushing! Can't wait to go back someday.

Varun K.

Yelp
We came here while staying in Conca. The pasta al dente here was incredibly memorable, and the fish is hard to beat - they do a great job of deboning the fish right in front of you! Great outdoor ambiance + view as well.

Travis H.

Yelp
This was and incredible surprise. Not only great flavor but the presentation was just as wonderful. And the view is one one the best on the coast

Gareth W.

Yelp
First off, the staff are amazing, very accommodating and helpful! The food is exceptional, fresh ingredients, local seafood! The salt baked Bream was delicious and make sure to try the lemon ricotta ravioli. The location can't be beat, get lunch and enjoy the view. Don't hesitate the take advantage of the shuttle they offer.

Zaim D.

Yelp
This is the only reason why I will come back to Amalfi Coast...amazing experience and the best food I have ever had.

Jeasica G.

Yelp
Service was amazing, food was prepared very quick and the owners along with the chef were very friendly. Best food in all of Italy, and my boyfriend and I ate there a few times during our stay. In the future when we return to Italy we will definitely be coming back. Even gave us a complimentary appetizer and drinks.

G C.

Yelp
This place is probably the best food we have had in the Amalfi Coast. From the incredible view of the sea to the outstanding service and the delicious food I wish we could rate this place a 20/10 it was so amazing. The menu and drinks capture the essence of this region so well (must have the cheese wrapped in lemon leaves as an appetizer). If I lived here I would be coming here every week for dinner highly recommend if you want a fabulous and authentic Amalfi Coast experience!

Can D.

Yelp
This restaurant is just great! Scrumptious food, great service, friendly staff... All the requirements for a perfect restaurant are met here. The view is beautiful since you can see the Mediterranean and the forest looking to it. I would recommend this place to anyone!

LIsa S.

Yelp
Our third meal in as many days! Excellent food, wonderful service! The Chef is masterful and imaginative. We've not gone wrong with anything we've ordered. The Lemon Ravioli is a repeat for us! The ambiance and the view is amazing. Don't forget to end the meal with their tasty and oh so creamy gelato.
