It was difficult to figure out the hours, and we were unable to make contact with anyone via phone, so we drove over and hoped for the best. There were two employees: one to handle prep and the other to give the tour. The guide gave us each a handheld flashlight and had us follow him into the cave. There are bats, guano, cockroaches (that eat the guano), and spiders (that eat the cockroaches) in the cave. The floor is slick and smooth in places; I’d recommend sturdy footwear. There is no wind in the cave; the air is hot and stale. That said, the cave was awesome!! The bats were very active, and we could see and hear them flitting around and roosting. We saw a crab scuttle across the floor and some shellfish in a still pool. The tour guide was chatty and knowledgeable. Great experience!
