Anegada, British Virgin Islands, Travel Guide

"Towering piles of pink conch shells rising from the sea off the island's southeastern tip—an arresting remnant of long-standing local conch consumption that also functions as an informal sustainability practice by concentrating discarded shells away from other habitats; boat tours combine visits here with snorkeling, swimming and sunning." - Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila is a bilingual travel writer, editor, and content marketer. We got here on an excursion with Sherwin's sea adventure. Sherwin guided us to two different snorkeling spots then took us diving for conch He knows and shares a running discussion of the island history, the sea life, and anything about BVI and the Carribean. Then we dove and caught conch. Returning to shore, he showed us how to prepare conch and made us a fresh ceviche from one large fresh one we had just retreived from the bay. His chef lesson alone was worth the cost of the excursion. He is THE BEST way to see the Conch mounds.

We had a great morning with @Anegada_tours_BVI Damien was our guy and was awesome. Gave us the run down of conch island, saw sea turtles, rays, pink flamingos, the most beautiful turquoise waters we have ever seen. What a special adventure. We snorkeled for about 30 minutes and saw so much amazing sea life. Thank you, I’d highly recommend this cruise.

Once in a lifetime experience. Moored at Setting Point. We used Kelly's Tours (Johnny and Thomas were the guides) and they picked us up from our boat. We had an awesome time! Headed over to Conch Island, walked/snorkeled around, then motored over to a beautiful reef, snorkeled for conch and lobster. Pulled out five conch and one lobster. The guides cleaned the conch out and we ate fresh conch. Great experience.

A unique site to see, hundreds of years of conch shells piled high from fishers. We even met and chatted with a couple who stopped by to toss thier day's shells. Snorkeling into the the little bays made by the piles gave some interesting views.

Impressive! Very shallow waters to reach it in my 20 ft tender but made it. Lot of conch fishermen around. Even we bought them some conch. Clearest waters, beatiful and unique place.
