We just came to the end of a wonderful stay at Concha Tropical. Where to start...||||Our apartment was spacious and very well distributed, with a large bedroom and lots of room in the kitchen and living areas. The bathroom could just fit the two of us, but it was still functional enough. There's also a small patio at the back with a sink to wash cloes by hand and hang them there.||||As all others, our apartment faced the beach (Praia da Concha) which meant we had a beautiful view when we walked onto our terrace every morning.||||Yes, we had a beautiful terrace. We spent a lot of time there just chilling or enjoying quite a few meals. The hammock is a big plus, there's nothing like nodding off after a day out exploring with the sound of the ocean in the background.||||Back to the apartment. The kitchen had all the basics for us to cook our meals if we wanted to eat in. There's also wifi available, albeit a bit "temperamental" depending on the weather, but this is a problem across the town and not specific to a particular place. The apartment also had a tv with local cable and a DVD player, which didn't get much use from us.||||The furniture and decor were simple and functional, with some nice touches here and there. ||||In general we were very pleased with the facilities there. If anything, walls that are a bit too thin for comfort is something to keep in mind, and the bedding and towels had clearly seen better days.||||In terms of service, it was all satisfactory. There's always someone around to assist with maintenance and two lovely ladies that cleaned our apartment (except the dishes) once a day.||||As I touched on before, the beachfront location is wonderful. We were literally just a few steps away from the beach, which meant we could take a quick dip in the sea before breakfast or pop out at the end of the afternoon for a walk there.||||We were also within a 10 minute walk of the town center and Pituba, the area where most restaurants and bars are found. On that note, I must say the food in Itacaré was a major highlight of our trip, make sure you try it. We recommend Recanto das Artes on Pituba, Alacrim Dourado and Caserão Amarelo on the orla, and - a MUST - dessert at Caramelo, on Pituba as well.||||And because we stayed there for a few weeks during low season we got a very good rate, which meant that on the whole we got amazing value.||||Last but by no means least, the resident dogs, Hercules and Angelina, deserve some lines too. They were such a joy to be around. They would come greet us when we came back to the apartment and would hang out with us on the terrace too. They're extremely loving and caring, and also well behaved, so don't worry about them running off with your flip flops if you leave them outside. They added so much to our stay. Word of advice: a few treats and playtime with them will ensure you get special attention ;)||||So, to conclude, let me just say that I would recommend Concha Tropical, and would certainly consider staying there if we went back to Itacaré.
