Conchal Hotel & Papaya Restaurant

My husband and I stayed at Conchal Hotel earlier this month, and had an awesome experience. We were staying at a not so nice hotel down the road, and stopped by in the morning to see if we could check in early at Conchal. They allowed us to check in and gave us the key right then and there. |The staff was very accommodating. Donald, our server is so sweet, and made us feel so welcome. |Breakfast was included with our stay, but our flight was early the following morning, so we wouldn’t be able to enjoy breakfast the following day. Conchal invited us to stay for breakfast the day we checked in, due to the flight time. |The rooms are very clean, the bed is so comfortable, and they have AC!🙌 To pool is perfect, the gardens are gorgeous, this was by far our favorite property. Highly recommend. Also, ask for Charlie, the iguana that adopted the hotel.

We are regular visitors to Samara, thought we’d add on a few nights in Brasilito. This hotel was perfect for our stay. Easy to get to, super helpful and friendly staff, good restaurant with great included breakfast made to order. Live music on the Saturday night that we were there. Lovely small pool area with lush greenery. We often had it to ourselves. Rooms are basic but clean, working safe, good sized mini fridge with freezer for ice, a few ants here and there and limited hot water but its CR so no big deal. Did a lot of beach walking, both beaches but esp Conchal beach is beautiful and if you are willing to walk to the far end you can find shady spots by yourself and swim in the clear clear water. We did an afternoon sailing trip with Serendipity out of Flamingo marina. Also highly recommended. Hotel organized our taxi. Really appreciated the warm hospitality and reasonable pricing!!

This was a last minute plan to. Go to the beach and I’m glad we did. The hotel far exceeded my expectations, the staff was fabulous and oh so friendly. This isn’t the fanciest hotel out there but clean and comfortable and a short walk to conchal beach, a must see.

Our stay was wonderful. The food, room and location were perfect for us. We really enjoyed being able to pop up and grab a drink at the end of the day and the close proximity to the beach.

Female solo traveller here! I stayed here from July 7-10th 2025. Staff was amazing and very friendly! Plants and wildlife around the property are absolutely beautiful! 10 minute walk to the best beaches - Playa Conchal & Playa Brasilito. I walked there everyday. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices and fresh juice. The pool was very cute. It feels like you’re in a treehouse! Would stay again ☺️

The location was walkable to many attractions including the beaches. Watching the sunset there was amazing. The Hotel setting was amazing it was a little bit of paradise once you step inside. Rooms were fine but the experience was outside.

My four friends and I stayed here and we all loved it. The hotel is quaint, and “boutiquey”. The gardens are beautiful. The pool is perfect. The rooms had exactly what we needed. The live music at dinner was wonderful and the food was fantastic. The jerk chicken was one of the best meals i had during our whole stay in Costa Rica! Also everyone was very friendly and helpful at this hotel. |The only thing I’d recommend is to bring earplugs. Our room was located near the road so the sounds would wake us early in the morning. We didn’t care because this got us up early so we could enjoy the full day, but if you wanted to sleep in you would need earplugs. |Beautiful simple hotel, with kind wonderful people.

We had a pleasant stay here. We stayed for 2 days with our 3 year old boy and 5 year old girl. The rooms are good, fridge and air conditioning work well. Shower had good heat and good pressure. The only issue with the rooms are how the door works. There is no latch so you need to lock it in order to keep the door closed. When you want to enjoy sitting by the pool it would be nice to be able to close your door without locking it.(We stayed on the ground level beside the pool for reference). The restaurant was good and service was great although the price for a dinner doesn't match the hotel. It's overpriced. The location is great except the parking is right off the main road with makes it interesting
