We had a pleasant stay here. We stayed for 2 days with our 3 year old boy and 5 year old girl. The rooms are good, fridge and air conditioning work well. Shower had good heat and good pressure. The only issue with the rooms are how the door works. There is no latch so you need to lock it in order to keep the door closed. When you want to enjoy sitting by the pool it would be nice to be able to close your door without locking it.(We stayed on the ground level beside the pool for reference). The restaurant was good and service was great although the price for a dinner doesn't match the hotel. It's overpriced. The location is great except the parking is right off the main road with makes it interesting

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming hotel near Playa Conchal. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the vibrant and colorful atmosphere that truly captures the essence of Costa Rica. The hotel is beautifully designed, with lush surroundings and friendly iguanas lounging around the property, adding to the laid-back, tropical vibe. The highlight of our stay, however, was the exceptional service. Ariel and Donald were absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure we had the best experience possible. They made every meal feel special, and their warm hospitality really stood out. Jennifer checked us in and was very hospitable and kind. The kitchen staff and everyone we encountered during our stay greeted us with a smile. Speaking of meals, the food at the hotel’s restaurant was hands down the best we had during our entire trip. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with a perfect mix of local ingredients and international flair. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we were consistently impressed with the quality and variety. This hotel is truly a gem, offering a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be returning!

This hotel is a gem. We stayed here for 10 days with kids, in a spacious and very clean family room (king bed and double pull-out bed). You won’t spend much time in the room though - the pool and sun deck area are quiet and inviting. The breakfast is hearty and delicious, with three great meal options to choose from daily. You’re a short 5 minute walk from sodas, restaurants, ice cream, and the ocean at Playa Brasilito! Best part of this hotel though is the staff. Donald is so welcoming at breakfast, the chefs and bartenders make tasty dishes and drinks, and I cannot thank Jennifer enough for booking transfers, tours, and sharing advice even before we arrived! There is some traffic noise but it dies off at night and can be well managed if you prepare in advance. Bottom line: if you are looking for a comfortable, safe, relaxing hotel for your family escape to Costa Rica, this is the place.

This is a lovely, small hotel a short walk to the beach. There is a great restaurant on property serving breakfast which is included.|Our room was small but had a nice sized closet, bathroom and king bed. Would be nice to have a chair or small sofa or dresser as there was room for it. |Every single person that worked there was so kind and sincere. They were all amazing. Special thanks to Jennifer, Donald, Justin, Ariel and Juana!🥰|Pros: The staff, pool, birds and howler monkeys.|Cons: Near a busy highway and owner should be aware some updating would be appreciated!

The staff is very helpful and extraordinarily friendly. They treat you like family. ||Restaurant |Breakfast at the attached restaurant is included. We ate there every morning and the food was so good that we came back a few times for drinks, lunch, and dinner when we had a long day of activities. Food/drinks were a little on the pricy side but not out of the norm for this area of Guanacaste. They have a BOGO happy hour for drinks as well, so planning ahead can help save money. ||Property|There was plenty of parking for all guests with rental cars. The property, landscaping, pool, and pool area was nicely maintained and clean. We had a few special guests for breakfast. Birds and iguanas were a regular sighting in the trees and railings surrounding the restaurant from your breakfast table, but they were never a problem. ||Rooms|The rooms were clean and housekeeping replaced towels daily. We borrowed beach towels from the front desk. Shampoo, body wash, and hand soap was provided in our room as well. I saw some reviews that the hotel could use updating to the bathrooms as they’re outdated. I don’t agree with those reviews, they are terracotta mission style tiles and seemed in good shape. Everything was functional and clean. ||My only complaints are: |The air conditioning unit in our room vibrated loudly. I am a light sleeper and don’t like any noise, so this may not be a problem for most people (my husband slept fine) but I couldn’t sleep if it was on so I let it cool off the room then turned it off when i went to sleep and left the ceiling fan on. The room stayed cool enough at night if the bathroom door was closed.||The bathroom sink was very small and use of the sink was made slightly inconvenient by the glass shelf directly above the sink. ||This isn’t a 5 star resort and you’re not paying 5 star resort prices, but I think the value for price and staff was exceptional.

We stayed at the Conchal hotel the week before Christmas. Family of 5 including three kids 4-8 yr old. We had a two full bed room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel filled with - delicious breakfast, room service, great accessibility, happy hour cocktails, pool, live music (2x during our stay) and tour desk services. ||Just what we were looking for in terms of amenities and access for our trip filled with excursions. The rental car location across the street was great to have as we saved dollars and time with a couple of days rental. ||If you are looking to explore the Pacific coast and tropical forest attractions, the conchal hotel provides what you need to make a memorable stay. Best boutique hotel in town!

This was a delightful place. We enjoyed sitting by the pool every night. We took in happy hour quite often too. The breakfast was delicious; fresh strong coffee, fresh fruit and just enough. It was easy to walk to town from here and we felt quite safe. It was clean and we’ll keep too.

We felt so lucky we picked this cozy spot! There was beautiful nature surrounding us, live music at night, amazing service from the staff (they were SO friendly), great breakfast included, iguanas everywhere, pool outside your door, short walk to the beach, can’t recommend this place enough! The only thing I would recommend is bringing ear plugs because the cars and motorcycles were fairly loud at night (we had the room closest to the road). Shoutout to Donald, Ariel, and Justin for being amazing hosts! 💗
