Concord-Padgett Regional Airport

We were in need of a car rental, thought I had a reservation with enterprise, they had no cars, but Jennifer from Avis, saved us. She worked so hard to find us one. And she did. She was so kind and helped. Kudos to Jennifer... she's the absolute best! Give her a big raise. Thanks to her, our short trip was wonderful. Thank you so much Jennifer!

All you need from a small airport is available, whether you're flying here a few times a week or just once. Security is smooth if you have TSA PreCheck; otherwise, it really doesn’t matter unless you’re running late. There is a nice waiting area while you wait for TSA to open. If your flight’s delayed, there's a large waiting area at the two gates. Small vending machines and a tiny deli are available. If you’re starving, you might want to get a bellyache, otherwise I will wait until you land to get real food somewhere else.

This is a small, clean and organized airport. No need for Precheck access. Most of the time it’s one line. I was in need of water after hours and I didn’t have cash. I would suggest if your flight is a late departure to bring an empty water bottle. There is a water fountain with a water bottle spout💗. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. And it is very cold so no matter the season bundle up. There are outlets in multiple areas so get here early and claim your spot ☺️.

This place offers all you need for a 1 terminal airport. The staff is by far the nicest, super accommodating and friendly folks plus the customer service is exceptional. Love flying in and out of this airport!! I've never been disappointed.

Today was the first time at the Concord airport. So the review is on the airport NOT the airline. We arrived two hours early for our flight but probably didn't need to. Our flight was early so there was hardly anyone there. Next time we have an earlier flight, we will come about an hour before because the security screening was a breeze. TSA agents were friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating and clean. They have a little store where you can purchase drinks and snacks. I look forward to when the airlines start having more destinations out of this airport. It’s so nice not having to deal with the large airports! We flew to Connecticut with Avelo. Ppl

This is our second time flying out of this airport. Customer Service in the entire operation is phenomenal. So much easier flying out of here in the Charlotte large airport. Great job to everybody that works here from Security, to the café to TSA and to the check in agents.

Worst airport gets two stars only because flights are cheap, there are no lines at all for TSA precheck and no traffic leaving the terminal. It’s a small outdated terminal with no modern amenities, no charging stations or outlets which all add to the misery of the long delays. The single baggage carousel is slower than a snail and, despite only two gates, it’s a painfully long and sporadic wait for baggage. Maybe the baggage is carried from the plane by hand then they run back and get more? There are seemingly more employees than passengers, which one might think would result in superior service not worse, but the employees are incompetent and slow, and most don’t seem to have anything useful to do. The adventure is not worth saving a few bucks on airfare.

This is my second time flying through Concord. Each time the flight has been delayed not the airport fault but the airlines. But their vending machine is empty. The small concession stand closes regardless that there are 3 flights delayed and everyone is just waiting. Women bathroom has no hand towels and it’s dirty. TSA approved is not a priority as they take one person from regular lane and than one from TSA since on a Thanksgiving Weekend there is only one Agent working and 5+ check luggage or at the supervisor desk. Due to delays the gate area and up front at counters were also full. Any passengers traveling in the holiday understands flight delays, but airports, no matter how small they are should make the accommodations at least decent and cleans ones. We’re not asking for a Starbucks and a small regional airport….

I absolutely LOVE flying out of this airport! It's small, conveniently located, fairly quick to get through, no fuss airport. You won't get any fancy restaurants or bars here, but you'll get through TSA quickly and once you get through there are only two gates! No confusing terminals.. I am hoping they will expand flights to different locations besides Florida. The only con is the only fly out on certain days, but I recon that's why the fights are so cheap, so you make it work! Staff is also very kind here.

Concord regional is a small airport that only has two airlines that utilize this two gate mini terminal; Allegiant and Avelo. I have all positive things to say about this airport, starting with the easy access to the terminal, through TSA where I met some of the kindest TSA agents I've ever experienced (I'm not used to seeing them happy and interacting with passengers). Hopefully the Avelo experience is just as nice.

What a great experience my first time at the airport (flying the new Avelo). The parking deck has 2 levels and has stairs and elevators you can use. You can pay for parking inside the airport with cash or you can pay with card as you exit the parking deck. Our flight started boarding 45 minutes before it was scheduled to depart. That surprised me that it boarded so early, I'm used to 30 minutes at Charlotte Douglas. It worked out fine because it took 10-15 minutes from the time we parked the car, walked in, got our boarding passes and went through TSA. It was a beautiful thing! LOL I look forward to flying out of the airport more because Avelo goes to places my friends/family live.

First time here. Quick and efficient. Might be a premature review but so far so good.

With two gates within the small confines of the lone building, Concord Regional is a wonderful and smart option if you want to fly into Charlotte and points nearby. Located northeast of the busy Charlotte metro area, the airport's small profile affords a busyness that will not overwhelm most people, I believe, unlike the larger airports. I found the TSA personnel professional, yet friendly. As you can imagine with only two gates, the time to gate is mostly negligible. The waiting area is one large area and the vendors are few. The bathrooms have been clean when I've been there. One important note: All passengers must walk outside to board and deplane by using the ramp.

What a great airport! Nice and small. Parking was a breeze, no shuttles. And the employees were actually nice, no one yelling at you like at CLT! Very refreshing! I will use this airport anytime I can!

I've flown out of Greensboro a couple times, but most of the time out of CLT. This was my first experience with Concord Regional and I was very pleased. The parking garage is located directly across from the main entrance. When you walk in there's a decent amount of seating and three desks for check in and baggage. We arrived pretty early and waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to the check in counter, but they moved the line very fast. After getting through check in, security was just on the other side of the room. There was no line and we were finished in about 3 minutes. The gate was literally the next room over. With arriving early and having to wait a few minutes, it was 30 minutes from the parking lot to gate. If you time it right, or if you check in beforehand and have no bags, you could make it from the parking lot to gate in probably about 10-15 minutes. Absolutely mind blowing. The bathrooms were very clean, and they even had a little area for snacks and drinks and had some premade sandwiches. I will fly out of concord regional any chance I get and I highly suggest you do the same

This is the smallest airport I have ever been to. LOL. It has two gates so you can't get lost here if you tried. Because it is small you can get through baggage check and security pretty quickly. Everyone was also very friendly and chatted with you while in line vs just being down to business. Also, because it is so small, it has limited options for food and drinks. You won't find any beer here for a preboarding drink. Concord is just a little north east of Charlotte so this is a great option when flying into the area and can fly directly from St. Pete-Clearwater for really cheap. I will say that if you need to rent a car, be sure to do that early as they have limited numbers and then when you get off the plane but sure to rush right to the Avis counter because the line got long real quick. Get your bags afterwards if you're alone so split it between your group.

Airport is very small but very quick check in. I loved that. The ladies assisting us was very nice and helpful. The airport dud have a small area to purchase snacks. Expensive like any other airport. My only complaint would be the constant delays in our flight. We missed our entire first day in Key West because of the four hour delay with our flight. Something to think about before booking with allegiant. Affordable flight before taxes, fees, and cost of luggage!

Smallest airport ever with only two gates; but it's a quick and cheaper option to fly in/out of Concord. That being said, there aren't shops or vendors like you'd see at a regular airport. There's a small concession stand that had a delivery of Firehouse Subs with three choices: tuna, roast beef and I think a BLT - chips and small snack items available but nothing more. There are rental car options here as well if needed. Enterprise and one other carrier I believe for this small airport. Overall not a bad option for those looking to fly in/out with zero frills and less hassle.

I showed up early and tsa wouldn't let me go back so I had to sit outside and wait until they opened. I ordered Uber eats while waiting because they didn't have jack for food only to find out after going through security that they did in fact have stuff at the gate. Total be because there should've signage saying this but there literally isn't anything. Could've saved me $32 for a dang burger and fries getting delivered. Outside of that it's a crazy small airport with only 2 gates & that's it.

Very very small airport about 45 min outside of Charlotte. Basically only Allegiant and private planes fly in and out of here. It's definitely easy to navigate with only two gates. Nothing fancy, they essentially have grab and go food available if you are hungry or thirsty. The staff was very friendly. You have to go outside to go up the ramp into the plane. This was my first time flying Allegiant so definitely a different experience but for the price it's definitely worth the quick trip to and from Tampa.

First time out of Concord in several years. Not a bad experience. Not many amenities. A small snack area with box sandwiches for $9 bucks, water and soda for $3.50-$4.00. Airport is clean, staff with Allegiant is very nice. Would recommend this airport.

I have flown into a good few very small airports in my time and Concord certainly qualifies. I think that they only have one or two commercial flights a day here on Allegiant, which is what we refer to as an Ultra Low Cost Carrier. There's a single ticketing and baggage hall that does not have much for snacks or drinks. Charlotte International, this is not. The airport is not located very close to the highway or to any public transportation but you should still be able to get a ride from your Lyft/Uber driver. They do have a covered parking deck and the TSA and a free wifi, so it's not all bad.

Low cost carrier, low cost facility, low cost parking; easy in, easy out by car. Not so sure about flying as I am usually dropping off or picking up guests from Florida. Two level ramp provides ample parking that is free for the first hour and not much more for the balance of the day. Please be aware that the clock for the ticket-o-matic has no connection​ to the rest of the planet, 5 or 6 minutes ahead of everything: Verizon, Time Warner, NIST... Facility is super clean and the decor is pretty current but also pretty spartan (remember, low cost...) There's not much in the ways of amenities since it's a little regional airstrip serving a small airline. So bring some snacks, bring a beverage, and bring something to share if you're so inclined. There shouldn't​ be any griping about the cost/quality of airport food so try to enjoy your flight.

Small airport but good.snack stand doesn't have a lot of snacks but that's because the flights are usually not too long.the flyer was doing amazing and landed good.I recommend.it does only go to certain places around the world but you should go.

Super small but that's a perk when it comes to waiting on luggage...there's barely a wait! I definitely would fly out of here again and it's very convenient

Very small and convenient airport that fly between Concord/Charlotte to mostly Florida locations. I personally haven't flown in or out but I've been several times to take my teenager and pick her up and the same for my mother and siblings. I've been in to wait with them, I've even parked at the parking deck. I've had nothing but good experiences with family and through discussions with family they didn't have any issues either except one earlier this year however after sending an email to allegiant it was resolved sorta which is why I'm at a HARD 3 1/2 Stars. The airport is easy to find and just to be clear you board the plane from outside so dress accordingly.

It is a small airport with only two gates but the customer service was good. I assume only Allegiant operates out of the airport. Restroom was clean and there is a food place that offers drinks, snacks, and sandwiches by gate two. Nothing fancy but not nearly as busy or crowded as CLT which is what I liked about it. Security check was quick and the TSA agents were friendly. There is no TSA Precheck for those who use that service.

Lover how small it is but O. M. G!!!! Have been waiting 25 minutes to get out!!! It's one (1!!!) exit gate with a machine to pay. Single file. One. At. A. Time. Shoot me please?! Look at the picture. Concord airport - get your stuff together.

My mother booked a flight to Florida, the rates were greAt and this is literally across the street from my house. Parking is grand and all the families go to the gate to see the passengers get on and off the plane. The airport is great! The commercial airline is Another story. Be careful with Allegiant Air.

This is such a small airport that I was dropped off, through security, and sitting at one of the two gates in 20 minutes! They have a friendly airport employee that greets guests and answers any questions. The airport has a small selection of hot and cold food, snacks, and drinks for sale at reasonable prices. TSA was professional and efficient! I'll fly here again just for the convenience and ease!

The airport is 10min distance from my place - can you say convenient! Getting to airport can be a little tricky. This is where "reading is fundamental" kicks in. There is a shortcut; however, I wouldn't try it until you've been to the airport at least once first. Follow/read the road signs which will lead you to the terminals. Parking is free for up to (0-1, maybe 2hrs); afterwards, its $4 daily and $25 for ticket lost fee. Quick and easy check-in process! Allegiant Attendants were friendly and quick. Typical expensive airport food, but it's all more like continental foods - so plan your meals accordingly. There are only two gates (1-2). Screening is your usual: all liquids in ziplock bags, remove all shoes and electronics. The wait time to actually pull-off for flight was extremely long. Most of your wait time will be spent waiting to take-off and to pick up luggage at baggage claim. Overall, worth the value (cheapest flight over ever found for round-trip) and I'll likely fly from here to Punts Gorda to get to Miami or any other southern FL cities. It's time to plan a cruise!

This is a relatively small airport with apparently only two boarding gates. In fact, the space for security and the room for the two gates are next to each other. I appreciate the lower parking lot was covered, but the fee is not exactly cheap ($9 per day), and it looks like they charge you for another full day even if you exit a few minutes past the 24-hour mark. This seems like a standard practice though unfortunately, but that's possibly the only reason the experience was not perfect. This regional airport came in handy this time, and I wouldn't mind flying through again.

Love the process and timing that me and my family spend to check-in for our flight! The scanning and ticketing area are very smooth! So next time we will definitely book our flight to this airport again every time we visit Charlotte!

Well, there's a first time for everything, and my recent trip to Florida was my first time traveling out of a hangar. To be fair, I have flown out of small airports, such as LEX or CID, so I had similar expectations to those ones. Seriously though, calling this an airport is a bit of a misnomer. It's not an airport. It's a hangar. Here's some pros. Free parking and WiFi. Security also seems to move quick? But, I have some minimum expectations, such as not using port-a-potties, that will definitely make me pause before considering another trip out of this "airport."

No jetways, be prepared to walk through the weather. Which excited my Daughter, she had never walked onto the tarmac before. We loved everything about the airport. First, it's only 10 minutes from our house. How awesome is that? Second, parking is 50 yards from the terminal, and free. We flew Allegiant Air, which has it's own terminal. A hangar actually. We were through security in 5 minutes, bags checked and boarding passes scanned. The terminal had large heating fans set up to keep the air warm, which was nice in late December. There were vending machines set up to replace everything that had to be thrown away before the security checkpoint. A great place to catch a flight if you want to avoid the hassles of CLT.

Flew out of here for a Disney trip in Orlando and couldn't pass up the $90 flight (one-way) into the Orlando - Sanford Airport (about an hour away from Orlando). There was about one Allegiant flight per day and the flight wasn't exactly full either. The main airport building is tiny... in comparison to Charlotte-Douglas. And the Allegiant side is undergoing renovations, but currently it's in an airplane hanger (with one gate). Once you get past TSA security (yes same rules apply), there's a large waiting area but the bathrooms are the portable kind... it's one step up from porta-johns, but they were put there as an after-thought... and you have to brave the elements to get to the single person trailer stall. Parking is free and there are over-flow lots, but something tells me that they don't use overflow too much. Probably as the airport grows, it will become more popular. The comical part of what I observed was that the music in the entire retro-fitted hanger was provided via boom box.... located on a vendor table with pamphlets about the City of Concord. There were a couple of times the TSA agents went over to adjust the volume, but it was just funny... felt like the airports version of a personal house party. Foodwise: you better bring your own stuff to snack on... otherwise you are at the mercy of 3 vending machines and a self-serve Starbucks station. All the machines take cards.

I'll keep this one short and sweet. Allegiant sucks and I would pay double their bargain basement prices to avoid their service. So, if you're willing to fly a lousy carrier like Allegiant, than who really cares where you fly out of? If all you care about is a quick arrival to the airport and a breeze through security then this two gate terminal is for you. If, however, you're like me and enjoy either a coffee or a cocktail/beer while you wait to board you'll be disappointed. Sure, Douglas is packed and annoying to navigate sometimes, but the amenities make your wait worth it. Concord - install a bar and a Starbucks and bring on some more regional flights from other carriers.

I'm submitting this review because there were NO updated reviews. We heard from several people there were no bathrooms and it was in a garage kind of building and all the reviews from like 6 years ago confirmed, however after A LOT of research, I found that it had gone under renovation in 2016. With that being said, we will 100% be flying out of here again. Parking was so easy and quick, we walked right in and right up to the ticket counter to check our bags, and straight through TSA. It was super clean AND had bathrooms (one as soon as you come in and another in the boarding area) and a little snack bar. There was plenty of seating and boarding was super quick and easy. We have a family of 6 and were traveling with a one year old, so it was much more stress free than going through Charlotte-Douglas.

Flying out of this airport was a breeze! I think they have updated it since some of these reviews. They do have "real" bathrooms now and a "real" (albeit small) gate area. No longer folding chairs. Parking was $4 a day, so it's not free anymore - still a steal in my book. The best part - there were NO LINES! We arrived early, but we definitely could have cut it closer if we'd known for sure. They don't have a TSA Pre-Check line, so you have to take out your liquids and take off your shoes. The day we travelled they had a very informal food court (kind of laughing because it was just a couple of ladies selling stuff). There was breakfast grub, drinks and most importantly coffee! I hope more flights get added, I would choose this airport over CLT any day!

I flew into Concord on an Allegiant flight, and the small size of the airport makes for a quick and easy trip in and out. There is a parking garage of good size if you need to leave your vehicle here, and they have Enterprise, Budget/Avis rental cars available. We rented a car from enterprise, and the nice part about flying into a small airport is that there isn't a shuttle you need to take to go get your rental... you walk outside and it's around the corner in a lot connected to the terminal. If you're able to fly into Concord, I highly recommend it as you can avoid the busyness of the Charlotte airport.

This was my first time flying out of Concord. The airport is easy to find and parking is plentiful. This place is what it is, no frills. You get in and out. I like that it's a small airport. It gives it a more down to earth vibe, if that's even a thing for airports. Anyway, getting through security was easy, finding the gate (there's only 2) was easy and the bathrooms were clean. There's limited food options, but they have coffee so that's a win. And for the price of most flights out of here you, really can't ask for more.

This is one of the smallest airport I have ever been to. It's smaller than PIE and Sandford airports. It's very clean, staff was nice. If you are here early enough you don't have much of a wait. There is a small concessions stand at the gates. Don't expect starbuck. They sell the general items some hot breakfast stuff mostly cold. They have coke products! ;) There is also not a souvenir store so don't wait to get those prior. Also not a lot of charging stations...if any. They do have free WiFi so that's nice.

Easy in, easy out. Not much food in terminal but there are Restaurants nearby. Flying alLegiant out of this regional airport was a breeze.

I knew I wanted to go on a cruise out of Miami for my honeymoon since they usually have more ports to choice from. We were looking at options to save money and I was informed to use Allegiant Airlines located in Concord, NC. I went into the website and everything looks legit. Honestly I would use their services again. Booking our tickets was easy. Just be sure to download the app to check-in and download your board pass before you arrive to the airport otherwise they will charge you $5. We didn't need anyone to drop us off because they offer free parking. It will be a hassle to try to find a spot though since travelers park their car there for days. We did not expect anything fancy of airport and we were proven correct. We chose to buy the "priority" option and I'm glad I did.. We avoided an hour long of waiting with our luggage and thought it was fun to board on the plan first. Normally I would opt out of that but since it was our honeymoon trip, why not? The plane was not vacuumed and the plane model is definitely outdated but not that bad by any means. The flight was on time and overall it went smoothly without any hassle. We landed in Fort Lauderdale's Airport on time and got an uber ride to get to Miami without any issues. In short... small operation, lower cost, nothing fancy but gets the job done. I bid you all a safe flight!

Traveler be ware. With more flights via Allegiant, the airport has NO PARKING. They have a GRAVEL overflow lot with very few lights surrounded by wooded areas and NO type of gate as a deterrent. Easy pickings for vandals and thieves. Then you must wait at least 10 minutes for a shuttle. So the ease and convenience and maybe safety is a big issue for me. Maybe this lot isn't new but it is my first experience with this setup and I am very concerned. If you are unsure if you can park in the parking deck, take an Uber or have someone drop you off and/or pick you up.

Small, clean, drive up n drop off airport. Long lines but they move quickly. No fuss no carry-on bags checked. Flew allegiant, decent priced but seats were split up.

I have flew out of a lot of airports, international and in the US!! The airport is small , which I like, ok parking, it's small so expected! Great staff ! Airport is clean ! Bathrooms step up from porta potty BUT clean and serves the purpose ! I will definitely recommend and be flying out of the airport again ! Sure beats expensive parking ! Fast and professional staff! Thanks !! I give you 10's all day !!

Allegiant has a new terminal. It's brand new! The lines are quick. Once you get through TSA there is food on the waiting side. All of the employees, Concord customer service, TSA, the police officers and Allegiant are so friendly and helpful. There is not pre check at this terminal. Parking is free the first hour. After that, parking is $6 day uncovered and $7 a day covered. All parking can be used as long term. Parking can be paid by cash by going inside the terminal. Credit/debit cards can be used as you exit. No cash can be used as you exit. Don't park in front of the terminal or any where but the parking deck. The officers will have you move immediately. You can only stop to pick up/drop off. There is Enterprise, Budget/Avis on the property. The address for the new terminal is 7435 Zephyr Pl Concord NC.

Riding Allegiant felt like riding to the islands...small airport...weighting rooms...but I like this experience...no complimentary snacks on flight...friendly flight attendants...pilots gives us a smooth ride...will fly again...

Love flying Allegiant and the airport is perfect, always clean and friendly, parking is convenient, simply in and out.

What a dump. Folding chairs to sit on, 4 vending machines for food and outdoor porta-potties for restrooms. Need I say more. One and done.

Airport rates 3 stars but the parking rates 1 or 0. Single lane to exit and confusing self pay. Took us 45 minutes to get out and the lot was not even close to full. Will avoid if at all possible.

Efficient, quick, and clean- perfect for travelers who are only concerned with getting to point A to point B without all the frills. Because they're a small regional airport that only offers a few flights per week, check in is always quick and painless. The parking is also cheap which is nice- $4-5 per day for long term parking.

Great little airport - Allegiant is the only terminal at this time but flight was on time, employees were very pleasant, and it was a great experience. Sure beats having to leave from large airport. First hour of parking is free if you're dropping someone off.

Small and efficient! Quick check-in and convenient location for me. Hoping for future plans of expansion, more flights and food court.
