I have been visiting this club during October fest but recently dropped by for a meal and found it amazing....the schnitzel are definitely a recommended menu item and also the beer selection is good. In summer they have a beautiful patio seating available

Recently, I visited this German restaurant with over a hundred years of history, and the experience was nothing short of an adventure. First off, their crispy pork knuckle could probably be used to forge iron, with a crust so crispy it seemed like it came from Mars. Every bite felt like I was attending a rave party for my taste buds. The servers were incredibly enthusiastic, almost ready to perform a German rap for me. The beer was so good that after one glass, I almost believed I was the King of Germany. The fries, German sausages, and roasted sausages were all flavor bombs, and I couldn’t stop eating. I guarantee this place deserves a five-star review—missing out would be a lifelong regret!

We came for dinner with a larger group during the week and sat outside. Our waitress (Martina) was very friendly, also speaks German, and provided first class service. The food was very tasty and great value for the money (not too expensive). We would love to come back!

Concordia club never disappoints for food and atmosphere. Seniors, families with kids or couples, everyone will enjoy the food and visit. A new waterfall in a beautiful outside setting for having a cold beer on a hot day or even a wedding? It’s a great place!

We enjoyed a stunning authentic German meal in a beautifully decorated restaurant. The service was so friendly and welcoming. The menu was extensive with all of our favourites. We could not decide so we went with the platter, currywurst & spaetzle and their signature Black Forrest cake for maximum variety! All of the dishes transported us back to our memories of trips to Germany and so many memorable meals. The decor of the restaurant and servers in traditional clothes truly adds to this perfectly authentic dining experience. An easy 5 stars and will come back soon for more delicious German fare!

We made a reservation for my brother's birthday occasion, and they surprised him w/ a fluffy slice of cake and a lighted candle! (#^.^#) The service was friendly & considerate, and the food was exceptional. The pork hock HERE was surprisingly better than the one we had in Rostock Germany, and that's wild considering we're in canada. Liver & caramelized apples & pig tails were also amazing. Keep it up 👏🏻 👏🏻

The place is very well operated from what I can tell, nice German style decors and welcoming waitresses. The pork hock tastes like a blend of smoky and salty flavour, meat is tender and skin is soft and chewy. First try & loving it. The sauerkraut is surprisingly delicious but a bit too sour to me. Portion is too big for one person I guess especially with extra sauerkraut and mashed potatoes🫨 Also recommend spaetzle (egg noodle thing), softer than pasta & with gravy and pepper flavours altogether in one bite.

Took my office out for an Oktoberfest kickoff dinner at Concordia Club. Had never been to the restaurant and wow were we impressed! Large selection of German beers and the food was really good. Service was some the best in Kitchener Waterloo. Really impressed!

Yelp
I love german food!!! Especially when it reminds you of your Oma's home cooked meals. I had the platter and it was mouth watering when it was placed infront of my eyes. Cabbage rolls, dumplings, sausage, snitzel and sauerkraut all in one dish!! A vegetarians nightmare! A meal that makes you wish you were wearing your lederhosen! Saturdays are really busy and walk-ins are hard to get. So reservations are extremely recommended. They have a live band after 8pm saturday nights. If you dont get a table they do have a bar where you can drink and eat. I was really impressed with the service! The guy behind the bar, I believe his name was mike, was super friendly. Definitely made the experience so much better. Id definitely go there again despite living 1 hour away!

Yelp
If you are looking for a great German/Bavarian meal, look no further that the Concordia Club. This place is also a banquet hall, but they have a good sized restaurant in the lower level. Look for specialties like rouladen, schnitzel, sauerbraten and more. Since it is close to the holidays they have a roast duck special for the month of December (yum!). Prices are very reasonable and service is friendly and knowledgeable. They also are licensed so lots of options for beer, wine etc. We had the duck and schnitzel. Soooo good. The duck came with red cabbage and potato patties. The schnitzel came with home fries and steamed vegetables ( although you could have spatzle if you liked). Please note that even though their online menu shows a variety of salads for those who want lighter fare - the menu handed to us did not show those options. My friend was however able to order a Caesar salad with a grilled chicken breast which she said was wonderful. Her hubby had the rouladen. All the meals were great. We were covering the Black Forest cake at the end but could not do it ( the portions being very generous) so we took some slices to go! Great choice as it was delicious. Note- if you are small portion eaters think about sharing a meal or be prepared to take a good amount home with you!

Yelp
Craving schnitzel so we came here for dinner, group of 3. Also very coincidentally came on Thurs night chef night, 2 schnitzel for $19. Pretty sweet deal. We also got a Bavarian weisswurst dinner. All were delicious though the schnitzel was missing the cranberry sauce that I'd get back in Munich and Salzburg when I visited earlier this year. It tasted a bit dry without it, but nonetheless my craving was satisfied. The dining area is huge with a ton of seating, and was very packed when we arrived. As others have mentioned, the decor is very authentic German/Austrian. Service was quick and we were seated right beside a TV playing CFL so that was nice. Overall we had a great time and would love to come back for another one of their daily specials!

Yelp
Concordia Club definitely worth the drive if you are looking for authentic German food in the area. Everything here is house made including their dessert. Dessert is just so good. We shared: Goulash Soup ($6.75) Concordia Platter ($18.50) smoked pork chop, small Schnitzel, German bratwurst, dumpling and fine German sauerkraut Rote Grutze ($6.25) red berries cooked with rum, & served with fresh cream - The first time I tried and I am a FAN! Black Forest Torte ($6.25) to Go! There is also some selection of German beers on draft. Seems like a fun place for Oktoberfest!

Yelp
I can say this is our favorite restaurant in Kitchener/Waterloo area. Loved their Pork Hock. It's always perfectly done. Crispy on the outside, very juicy on the insider. When you eat with their own sauerkraut, it'll give and nice balance to the taste and take away the greasiness of the pork hock. I'm never a schnitzels person, but I would eat the ones here. Again they are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Laberkase is a kind of German "ham" topped with a sunny side up egg. It looks like a breakfast dish, but you can have it for dinner :). And by the way, their portions are huge! They have a buffet dinner for $16.45 on Friday nights, which is the best deal around Toronto and Waterloo. Great selection of food and a huge dessert table! Saturday night is done and dance. It's mostly elderly couples who are dancing there. The atmosphere is lively and charming. It's always a pleasure to watch them dance :) Beer selections are good with plenty of German beer. Service are always warm and friendly. I've been there a lot of times and never disappointed. The only disappointment is not able to book a table.

Yelp
My friend took me here for dinner on Saturday and I was absolutely blown away. The Concordia House is a German Beer Hall and basically looks exactly the way you would expect: dark wood, crests aplenty and all sort of stuff painted on the walls. Plus, the servers wear dirndls!!! We were seated by an elderly German man (I think the owner) who told us that we should both sit facing the middle of the room, so that we can watch the dancers. Apparently, they have a live band on Saturday nights and people dance! I am SO EXCITED at this point. It only gets better. I order a pint of beer and instead, am served 0.5L of beer! Metric beer! My friend orders the chicken schnitzel, and I order the Concordia Platter: 1 small schnitzel, 1 smoked pork chop, 1 Oktoberfest sausage, dumplings (basically stuffing in gravy) and sauerkraut. I drove 2 hours through a snowstorm to get there. I was leaving there hungry. The meal was good, not the BEST I've ever had, but definitely very tasty. The schnitzel was great as was the sausage. My dining partner was very happy with her chicken schnitzel, which was basically took up half the dinner plate. For dessert, we split an apple strudel, which was homemade, but not quite sweet enough. During dessert, we were treated to a two man band featuring a guy on drums and a guy on the accordion and keyboard, as well as a bunch of seniors ballroom dancing across the floor. It was pretty spectacular. This place gets 3.5 stars for food, 3 stars for service and a billion stars for atmosphere. I will definitely be back, and with friends!

Yelp
I do not know what is going on here. The quality of the food has plummeted. We ate as a family of 4 today for lunch -- 2 ordered fish and chips. They were TASTELESS and DRY... I would not know what I was eating if I did not see the plate. The spaetzle of another diner was gooey. My elderly father ordered the soup which he did not have issue with . The service is always excellent--- no issue there but do not think we will give it another try.

Yelp
A group of us went to Concordia Club's Oktoberfest celebrations last night. They have a large parking lot (which fills up very quickly) and they had some young volunteers directing traffic. The advance tickets to the event sell out sometime in the summer, but we were able to get tickets at the door. They had midway games, 2 different options for food (their full restaurant downstairs and a selection of more 'fast food' type options upstairs) which were good, if a little pricey eg. a sausage with sauerkraut on it was $12.50. The servers and people running the games were cheery and helpful. There were plenty of security guards, police and even liquor control people walking around keeping watch over everything. Designated Drivers get a hand stamp and 4 tickets for pop for $1. I really enjoyed the traditional folk dance performances and the lives bands. The main tent does get VERY loud. Also bring cash. Overall I have to say that it was a really fun time and we'll go back again next year!

Yelp
I went here for a wedding reception and the German food here was amazing. I'm not sure if it was the wedding planner who arranged it but the food was tasty and plentiful. I have never been to a wedding that had so much food. I was afraid I wouldn't fit my dress by the end of the night. The interior is also very warm and welcoming. The ceiling lights are quite pretty. This is a great space for good sized event.

Yelp
Upon rolling up to this place you will notice plenty of parking unless it has some sort of venue going on such as Octoberfest etc. We were greeted by a very friendly female hostess, who sat us around the middle section of what was like a banquet hall. I observed a dance floor and a bar that could accomodate a decent sized wedding or festival. I chose to eat rouladin which is like a very fine steak with a pickle rolled up in the middle of it. I had some sourkrout on the side and shpehtcel(spelling here?) it was like little pasta. I must say the meal was very nice if you like German food, which I do. The guests who attended with me ate Snitchel(spelling here) and they also ejoyed their meals. This resturant offers soup of the day which can be anything from cream of brocolli soup to French onion... or even Goulash soup. There are plenty of types of bread offered before and during the meal. Prices were great. Six of us ate for about $100.00 plus tips. No alcohol... I dont think.... LOL.

Yelp
Went to their dinner buffet one night. The variety of food offered was actually quite good, although the salad bar could've been better. I tried almost everything and the Schnitzel was my absolute favorite. I probably had 3+ pieces. The red soup (I'm not sure what it's called) is also recommended, since it was a bit sour and totally worked up my appetite. Same with the sauerkraut. I had apple strudel for dessert. Mmm...very enjoyable food and atmosphere. Loved it.

Yelp
This restaurant is a fixture in Kitchener. The tradition of old Kitchener carries on here. The Germanic background really comes through. The decor is reminiscent of an old Black Forrest Inn. The servers are dressed in dirndles. The menu is old German. Schnitzel, rouladen, streudel and other German specialities. Prices are very fair, the service is fast and friendly. A great place for a meal!

Yelp
A party of 4 for buffet dinner this past Friday. I have eaten once at Concordia on a Thursday night a la carte and it was fantastic. The buffet is simply a disappointment. The schnitzel was rubbery, almost like gelatin inside, no cabbage rolls, chicken dry. It seems most of the offerings were from the cold food variety; potato salad, coleslaw , sliced tomatoes, beets, pickles etc. There were 5 hot item selections plus soup. We arrived for our reservation at 630pm, by 7pm we noticed they were not restocking the hot food. The vegetable hot tray remained empty the entire time we were there. The dessert table was full of store bought desserts , not German at all. When we arrived there was a plate of homemade strudel in the table. When we went to get dessert after dinner the strudel was gone. I asked the waitress if there was more and she said they weren't bringing more out. Very disappointing. It was obvious they were limiting the amount of food they were providing. At 20.95 a person this is really quite sad and not worth it to the customer. Our waitress was not attentive at all and we barely saw her. I am at least giving 2 stars because the soup was quite good. Waste of money , disappointing and will not return.

Yelp
Great mix of comfort Germanstrudelporkhocken and bier on tap. The servings are generous and served by friendly staff in traditional Bavarian attire. We would go again to try the other menu items. If I was from Bavaria, I'd would feel comfortable in my lederhosen ... Bier in hand

Yelp
Yes the food can be hit and miss, but you gotta give them over 3 stars....its the last of its kind in ontario - awesome place.

Yelp
I was here for dinner at the Schenke Restaurant in the basement during Oktoberfest. The decor and furniture though not fancy is authentic and has a German feel to it. The servers and staff were in dirndl dresses and were very polite and warm. The buffet hall had pretty good service and the food although had very limited variety was delicious. The pork schnitzel was tender on the inside and crispy outside. The sausages were to die for. The constant flow of beer was personally appreciated and I enjoyed the apple strudel for desert was perfect. And we got a surprise shot of schnapps at the end of it all. A good experience although I am not sure if I'll make this a regular thing.

Yelp
Amazing german food at good prices. Atmosphere is very authentic. They have lunches, brunches and dinners.

Yelp
was in town on a biz trip and our partner took me here for lunch. the beer was great. the food is all right. i ordered their suasage with curry and it was ok. also ordered a side of their fried liver; it was also just ok. i'm a hugh fan of suasages, other than that do not know much about german cuisine. gave it a 3 star for that reason. this place is very popular during october for their 'october fest' tho.
