7 home-based craft businesses in Singapore you need to support - SilverKris

"Started in 2014 when the founder salvaged an abandoned bag of cement, this small design studio grew from a one-off handmade lamp into a line of concrete, jesmonite and resin homewares. Known for eye-catching pieces like marbled dining coasters and a striking jesmonite hex lamp, the maker continues to experiment with new materials while balancing the business alongside a full-time job." - Sol P.

Had a little resin lamp making party for my daughter and a small group of friends. Lovely studio with ample space. Clean and orderly. Bi Qi handled the group very well, explained clearly, and readily answered questions. The fun set of materials provided (from glitter to dried flowers) allowed the girls to stretch their creativity to the fullest. They were so proud of the finished products. Concrete Everything handled the drying process for us, and packaged everything so beautifully that it was a joy to deliver the lamps to our guests after a week. Thank you for a lovely morning workshop!

I've got to know this workshop thru Fave and gladly enjoyed this with my sister. We made coasters and the instructor (Jeremy) clearly explained and assisted with our mixtures. He's very friendly, patient and he answered to our countless questions. Its a therapeutic experience! Love it.

We engaged Concrete Everything to run a workshop on making marbled coasters as part of our staff retreat, and they did not disappoint. The facilitation was clear and upbeat with a dose of humour, and we created two beautiful marbled coasters per pax within the two and a half hours allocated for the session. The activity was fun and allowed us to engage in mindfulness and be present in the moment. Thumbs up!

Very good experience as only me and my husband and we really enjoyed the workshop. Very interesting and you get that satisfying feel when we unveiled the concrete desk lamp.

Many kudos to the friendly, awesome instructor (Marcus) and assistants! 🔥 The staff were so patient, helping to check consistency of the mixture, even advise on colours and whether the jesmonite coasters were properly "cooked" 🤣 before demolding. Super satisfied with the finished product! Highly recommend anyone who's looking for some beginner friendly, handmade gifts to give this a shot! 💝

I have never been a fan of coaster-making, up until yesterday. Less than two months ago, when my colleague (Sush) decided that we would contact Concrete Everything to host a Jesmonite Marble Coaster Workshop at our company as part of a Christmas lunch event, I was rather skeptical at first. I had my doubts that it would pay off. But the workshop trainers left me with a lasting impression. They were not only patient and very clear with the instructions that were given to us, but they also encouraged us to be creative with the colour dyes that were provided. Even experimented with the three primary colours (red, yellow, blue) to create a rather eye-opening coaster. But the first coaster I made was using both turquoise and a purple. I'd also like to mention another colleague of mine, named Ainie, who told me that we should have more workshops that promote "creative time", away from the hustle and bustle of our daily work. I cannot help but think that we can have another similar workshop like this during our company's next career day showcase, or once every two or three months to destress and to challenge one's limitations in fine art. Thank you all!
