I have never been a fan of coaster-making, up until yesterday.
Less than two months ago, when my colleague (Sush) decided that we would contact Concrete Everything to host a Jesmonite Marble Coaster Workshop at our company as part of a Christmas lunch event, I was rather skeptical at first.
I had my doubts that it would pay off. But the workshop trainers left me with a lasting impression. They were not only patient and very clear with the instructions that were given to us, but they also encouraged us to be creative with the colour dyes that were provided. Even experimented with the three primary colours (red, yellow, blue) to create a rather eye-opening coaster. But the first coaster I made was using both turquoise and a purple.
I'd also like to mention another colleague of mine, named Ainie, who told me that we should have more workshops that promote "creative time", away from the hustle and bustle of our daily work. I cannot help but think that we can have another similar workshop like this during our company's next career day showcase, or once every two or three months to destress and to challenge one's limitations in fine art. Thank you all!
