19 Best Boutique Hotels in Mexico City | Condé Nast Traveler

"Upon entering this renovated 1920s house, you'll be greeted by smiling staff who instantly make you feel at home. (And who will deliver outstanding service throughout your stay.) The boutique vibes are ideal for solo travelers, couples, and families who want an intimate setting in one of the city's prettier neighborhoods, La Colonia Condesa. Each room is unique and reflects something of Mexico's history and culture: The Puebla, for example, has an intricately tiled bathroom, since the city is famous for talavera production." - Susannah Rigg

Clean, convenient, safe. I enjoyed my stay. The property is in walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and parks. After a long day of walking, eating, sightseeing, it was nice to come back to Condesa Haus and rest in comfort. My room was clean. The bed is very comfortable. There is filtered drinking water and a small kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. WiFi is also available.

Great place to stay in Condesa Area in quiet street so very peaceful. Extremely well located, close to good restaurants, groceries and bars. The installations are very clean and the service exceptional. Good speed of internet. The healthy breakfast was good enough to give energy for the day. I stay for 1 month and Fernando, the owner, made my time there great thanks for every detail to fill anyn of my needs and expectations. I surely recommend this Hotel if you want to explore and experience the truly and real city of Mexico.

I had the pleasure and delight at staying at Condesa Haus recently. The studio suite I was staying in was nicely appointed, spic and span clean, and well sized. My working desk faced the balcony and trees which was a great place for my ‘office’. Every Monday a local farmer’s market on the street made weekly grocery shopping so easy. The location was perfect for rambling through Condesa and Roma. I loved my stay there and will go back!

Weeks later and we are still smiling and joyfully reminiscing about our time in Condesa Haus. As an expat who grew up in Mexico City, this is the true, authentic Mexico. Beautiful rooms, attentive and knowledgeable staff, prime location (walking distance to soo many top eateries and shops), all located on the most peaceful, magical street. We especially loved the private rooftop retreat. Cannot wait to come back!

Our room (Puebla) in Condesa Haus had a real case of Instagram vs reality. While the stained-glass bathroom window looks nice, the reality is a window that's falling apart, and this kind of sums up the whole room. Towels and bed linen were worn and stained, while the bathroom had chipped and missing tiles, a heavily stained bath and dust everywhere. The receptionist was pleasant enough and the breakfast was fine, but we decided to eat elsewhere with there a lot of nicer cafés/bakeries within walking distance. The only real positive is its location and the fact that you're unlikely to be in the room much anyway if visiting Mexico City for a holiday.

Check in was fast and smooth. Fer is the greatest host you can meet. You feel treated like an old friend. The room was incredible and you wouldn’t expect it but in a 5* boutique hotel. Lots of light, space, plenty storage, big flat TV. Breakfast was great and fun, and a good opportunity to meet other travellers from all over the world. Visiting Mexico City was super easy with Condesa Haus tips and their recommendations positively surprised us. I am already missing Mexico and specially Condesa Haus.

We just returned and are still feeling the glow of Mexico City. Condesa Haus exemplifies the spirit of the city and the neighborhood. It's welcoming, relaxed, clean, and you feel immediately embraced. The rooms are all clean, unique and quirky with daily housecleaning. The prices are certainly right, and the service--both by our host Fernando and the lovely ladies--is the best. You get a homemade Mexican breakfast (with touches of the American if you need your granola, cereal, or yogurt), and a great home base as you explore this amazing city.

My husband and I just stayed at Condesa Haus for 11 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Not one complaint. It was clean. It was quiet. Excellent service. Super friendly and helpful staff. Fernando was amazing. Josue was incredible. Ana and Mary were fantastic. The building is so beautiful. The neighborhood is charming. The breakfasts were delicious. The bed was awesome. Our room was even more awesome. The roof top deck was such a fantastic treat. We will be back to Mexico City and we will definitely be staying at Condesa Haus. I hope the same staff are still working there because I'd love to see them again.
