On the Grid : Condor Street Urban Wild

"Once a marine industrial site, this area is now one of Boston’s 39 urban wilds, or natural landscapes, thanks to the efforts of the Urban Wilds Initiative. All entrances to the park are on Condor Street and orient you toward the water. As well as meadow grasses and salt marshes, it has a boardwalk, walking paths, and a viewing platform overlooking Chelsea Creek. In the winter and spring, harbor porpoises can sometimes be seen swimming along the creek there. This area is home to many species of shellfish, other invertebrates, and juvenile fish." - Nick DiStefano

Stopped by on my walk this morning. Will suffice if you want to see water in the city. Not a beach you can enjoy. Saw a sign saying the park is closed from dusk til dawn. Probably a nice spot for both sunrises & sunsets. Still had good views with light rain.

Nice views and lovely place with an intertidal area. Good for spotting shorebirds! There is also a playground nearby for kids to have fun.

Cute public park. This public park is small but nice to hang out and possibly watch airplanes take off or land. People in the neighborhood just throw their trash all over the place which makes this area look dirty and gross. The BPD does try to maintain it but the trash is just too much.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wasn’t allowed in because I had a koozy that apparently wasn’t allowed. I was not drunk, I had one drink on the way to the bar and wasn’t allowed in due to having an open container. I understand this and immediately threw away the container. I still was not allowed in or was the group I was in which was unfortunate since we were not drunk. We had to leave and Uber to another bar due to this which is unfortunate because they had very young children that were allowed but we were not and we were adults and very understanding

The area needs to be cleaned up if you ask me. Street, construction and many other types of workers sit out by the water in groups to eat their lunch and leave their trash. So down by the water trash and up and around the little trail more trash not really such a great place to hangout.

Nice place to see planes and Jets fly over your head, but some people in the community mistreats it and throws trash everywhere. Nice place to catch a nice sunset though.

One of the best spots to watch (and feel!) the roar of the jets directly overhead, landing and taking off from Runway 15R @ Logan.

A pleasant small garden park like setting. Enjoy the plants and senary.
