Very nice, wide, clean beach. Beautiful. One of the cleanest beach I ever seen. Many activities are done there. It's next to board walk and Luna Park. The restrooms close early though. Short walk from Coney island subway station. They have walkway on beach too, for easier walking on the beach! Awesome.

First time here after the 100millionth time visiting NYC. We had a free day and decided to spend it here. The weather was perfection and the vibes were so authentic. I would never get into that dirty water but everything else around there was awesome.

Coney Island is a classic spot with a unique charm. The boardwalk, beach, and amusement park offer a fun day out for all ages. It's a bit crowded, but that's part of the experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in NYC!

Coney Island Beach is a beautiful city beach. It is easily accessible by car and metro. The beach is wide and clean, with fine grained white sand. There are lifeguards, toilets etc. basic services. Restaurants and different attractions, for example an amusement park, are right next to the beach. A wide, well-maintained Boardwalk runs the length of the beach. The area is quite safe and peaceful at least during the day. It is a little bit challenging to find a parking place. This beach is one of the best city beaches I have visited.

Worried about the materialistic life? No worries, the SEA is calling you🫶 Walk through the water, feel the waves, tale a deep breath. Trust me YOU GOT THIS!!!🫶

Coney Island Beach is a place where I love to go to distress and get some needed exercise. Additionally, It is my favorite beach in NYC because of the roller coasters, the Mermaid Parade, and the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest which I go to every year! 🗽😌 🏖

Nice experience. The sand was very delicate and the kids loved it 👍 , once inside, not a few hours, the little guy will not come out ~ o (^ ^ ^) o, except for the parking space is difficult to stop, the other is OK ~ (o ^ ^ o) 💞

I like Coney Island because it is convenient for many people and for when I am looking for a high energy vibe! There is also music and a lot of people around. If you walk further down past the parachute jump, the beach gets less crowded. Worth the trip!

BROOKLYN, NY: Brie took a trip out to Coney Island with her family to explore where her Mom grew up as a child and it was fun walking around the "People's Playground!" Coney Island is in the southwestern section of Brooklyn and has a lot of history from being a seaside resort with amusement parks and blocks of beach front. We walked by the second steepest roller coaster in the world, the Cyclone, and it is also registered on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places! The famed colorful Wonder Wheel offers stunning views of the ocean! The iconic parachute jump that you can see from miles away! The Brooklyn Cyclones stadium, which has a Bark in the Park event every year! The Original Nathan's Franks, famous for their special recipe and annual hot dog eating contest, and also has dog friendly outdoor seating! And best of all, the beach and boardwalk, where leashed dogs are allowed from October 2nd through the Friday before Memorial Day weekend.

Visited on a Friday night while in the area having dinner and was able to watch the fire works from the Ferris wheel. We got on a swinging cart for a little thrill and a thrill it was! $10 per person to ride, and it goes around twice.

This beach and boardwalk has been around for a very long time and it's definitely a part of the Brooklyn identity. It's long stretch of boardwalk and there are all kinds of activities. The Aquarium, Luna Park, Thunder ride, and tons of places to eat including Nathan's! Awesome place to spend the day during the summer!

Coney Island has changed a lot. Finding parking in the area is always a challenge. We saw Mario driving on the street. It was cool but it might be a bit dangerous due to limited visibility. Came here on a Friday night for the fireworks. The website said it starts at 8:30 but it didn't start until after 9:45. There's fireworks every Friday during the summer until Labor Day weekend. The Cyclone was closed due to mechanical failure. All the rides were operational, some have longer lines than the others. The Ferris Wheel is $10pp. The carnival games are about $5 per game. There is a small free museum about Coney Island.

Lived in NYC most of my life and this was the first time we spent a day at Coney Island! We lucked out with the weather - 80's in September. It was after Labor Day so the beach and boardwalk were not crowded and pretty clean. Of course we had to get hot dogs from the original Nathan's. (Amazing that it's been there for over 100 years.) $10 ticket to ride the Cyclone was worth it - thrilling ride on one of the oldest rollercoasters in the world. The bathrooms were pretty dirty, and you will be overpaying for so-so food, but it's a city park with free access to the beach and so much history. It would have been great if there were displays of photos showing Coney Island in its glory days. Fun day.

I've hit up Coney Island a few times over the years, and every trip is a wild ride. My not-so-secret route? Staying loyal to the F train, the trusty steed that gets me there every time. Coney Island is like a giant playground where you can lose yourself in the rides and stuff your face with all sorts of goodies. Hopefully that's still the case now that I'm a bit older plus the inflation (still, a visit is due sometime soon). But let's get real about the beach. It's, well, a bit of a hot mess. Think of it as New York's version of a mud bath, minus the spa vibes. The water isn't exactly postcard blue, but hey, what do you expect from one of the most swamped spots in NYC? The rides, though? They're the real deal - adrenaline junkie heaven. And the carnival games? Oh man, they're a riot. My absolute favorite is the bobbing fishing carnival game. Simple, yet endlessly entertaining. I still remember the day my sister and I walked away with two giant fish plushies. Those plushies? No clue where they swam off to, but the memory? Priceless. Coney Island is always worth the trek. Whether you're braving the rides, trying (and failing) to win at carnival games, or just soaking up the chaotic charm, it's a classic NYC experience. Just remember, the beach is more for people-watching than swimming. Enjoy the madness!

Hubby and I enjoyed walking on the boardwalk and watching the fireworks last night. I haven't been here in over 20 years. I wish the parking wasn't so expensive. We paid $27 to park in the parking lot by the boardwalk. We still had fun but wish we don't have to pay that much. I wouldn't mind coming back again here.

When the weather is nice, I ride my bike to Brighton & Coney Island boardwalks. And I have been coming here since I was a child, and I have to sadly say this area is crap. It is getting worse every new beach year. The boardwalks are falling apart, the beaches are dirty, and more & more asshats ruining the beaches for everyone else to enjoy. There is hardly any Police presence patrolling the beaches and surrounding businesses. The amusement park looks depressing; the only saving grace is the Cyclone, the oldest roller coaster ride in New York and still one of the best thrills. I pray for city officials to spend $ and renovate the area, but I doubt it. Not in this current decade.

I come here often, all year round, I love to sit and watch the waves. But the best watching here is of the people! So many types of people.... walking, on bikes, scooters, skates, jogging, dancing, even frolicking. It boasts pop up performances, scheduled shows, parades, and cultural events. There are vendors, games, rides, shops, and bars. You'll definitely get a full experience of the quintessential seaside, amusement park with a tinge of the city. The have started to build up quite a bit. Hopefully, it maintains its signature quirky charm.

Everyone knows how to get here on the Subway D, F, N, Q. I did not take any pictures because there are many of the boardwalk, the games, and the beach and pier. While we were there, there was not much in the way of waves. Maybe about 1/2 foot. The water temperature is mid 60s which is pretty cold, but bearable. Still quite a few people in the water. Would be good if it was hot and humid. Unfortunately while we were there it was about 80 degrees and windy.

I love going to coney Island. There is tons to eat and do. Outdoor music festivals in the summer as well as fireworks every Friday night. I usually lay up on the beach early till late afternoon. I go to nathans on the boardwalk or Paul's daughter for some food. For drinks, I stop at salt and sizzle and get a henny colada. It's always a good time at coney island.

Near the carousel, there is a pizza shop al cavallino selling sandwiches, salads and Personal pizzas only. great size for the price of $16 . We ordered the meat lovers pizza and had 3 full-size slices each between the 2 of us. It was scorching hot and seasoned so well. They did take quite a long to serve it but I assumed it was made fresh to order. I'd purchase from them again.

Went to the beach to relax and I had a wonderful time, sometimes often we don't take advantage of this great resource we have right in our backyard...I enjoyed watching the kids and adults have fun on the beach.

One of my favorite place outside the city, preety quit most of the time. Lots of fun activities & food places . Love the seafood restaurants! One of the great thing about this place is that Very rarely I have seen this beach dirty. Lots of people I see come to fish here. They look like they having a blast. If you wanna find a quit place to just relax, eat , this is one the places ! Btw, they also have some yummy seafood you definitely need to try !

I went to Coney Island last Saturday for the second time ever. I love roller coasters, and the first time I went on the Soarin' Eagle. It was fun but I remember seeing the Thunderbolt and knew I needed to go on it eventually, so I took my chance this past weekend. Honestly, the only time I was nervous was at the incline. I was at an exact 90°, facing up into the sky. The second we moved forward just before the drop, I wondered what would happen if we were launched into the sky instead. All the way into space. Some of my close friends are probably sick and tired of me saying all this, but imagine if there was some sort of railway system from the Earth out into the beginnings of the vast pit that is space. I will never shut up about this but I feel like just once, I need to experience life on a satellite. So instead of a roller coaster cart dropping down and making a trillion twists and turns, we would be on a floating subway car shooting into the exosphere where the satellites hover. Maybe the satellites are just the first stop. I want to go all the way to the ends of the universe and time itself. I don't mean to be morbid or insensitive, but that would be such a cool way to die. But also imagine we had an infinite supply of oxygen. Actually I would maybe hate that because humans might end up migrating to the exosphere or further and then end up polluting space like we did with Earth (not that we aren't already polluting it!! Man we're kinda shit...). Anyway. I refuse to leave this life without AT THE VERY LEAST being in space once. Please. Somebody make it happen please. I feel like my soul leaving my body after I pass and maybe passing through our solar system and all other galaxies and universes isn't enough for me. I mean how would I know--maybe our souls actually have heightened sensory abilities that would make it way more fun to experience after death rather than while alive. Regardless, I don't care how it happens, I just need it to happen. But only if I feel fulfilled or satisfied with my life on Earth (I need to live out my cottage by the Himalayas dreams first). But also we just never know so. Anyway, please enjoy the rest of your day and the rest of your life. Please don't waste it thinking about how you could be more successful or likable by those who don't deserve your energy. Just think about stars. Ooh, and bioluminescence. Oh my god bioluminescence is so beautiful.

Wow wow wow. Where do I even begin... Two for five dollars. Two long, crispy, fried, dough covered in cinnamon and sugar. With each bite I slowly started melting, my stomach started screaming joyfully, my mouth watering for another bite. But simultaneously, my heart was hurting knowing that each bite I took was shortening the life span of this delicious, crispy, fried, dough covered in cinnamon sugar--two for five dollars. I remember when Costco used to sell these. One dollar for one. My tummy is grumbling. I sit here drooling as I stare at the photo I took of the two long, crispy, fried, dough covered in cinnamon and sugar. I also can't stop thinking about how beautiful this image is. The composition, the angle, the lighting. Perfection. Absolute perfection. Why am I such a good photographer? I remember once someone hired me to do a food photoshoot. They said my work was trash and that they wanted a refund but honestly, after seeing this gorgeous image I took I don't understand what they were saying. They missed out...So who wants to hire me for a photoshoot?

I visited Coney Island for the first time this past March while Luna Park was closed. It's a roughly hour-long ride by train from Manhattan, and I wanted to explore somewhere new with my fur nephew cavapoo. We came the day before Luna Park was to open for the spring season, and enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon walking along the boardwalk and taking in the blue skies and the ocean. One of my NY local friends told me I'll probably disappointed by Coney Island coming from California, since they called Coney Island "the New Yorker's idea of what a beach is like" and that the rides feel janky. For me, I was just excited to explore a new spot in New York and check out Coney Island for myself for the very first time. My cavapoo puppy nephew had a blast here too!

I am not a fan of amusement parks as roller coasters and rides make me dizzy and cause me physical discomfort, so I wasn't particularly interested in Coney Island. However, my husband was interested in checking it out as Coney Island is a well-known attraction, so we went after our visit to Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Because it was mid-week and just before their busy season, the amusement park wasn't overly crowded, which is not a bad thing, but it looked a little depressing. As mentioned, I don't like amusement park rides, but my husband convinced me to go on the ferris wheel, which was alright, as we were in a cage, and we chose one of the cars that did not swing. But at $10 a ticket, we went on once and then took a walk around the amusement park and then headed towards the boardwalk. During our entire nearly-three week trip, the weather was unbearably hot. However, the day we went to Coney Island, June 1, it was quite cold and windy, making the stroll along the boardwalk a little uncomfortable. We went into a bar for drinks and relief from the cold, and then my husband had a hotdog at Nathan's, which is apparently a very well-known hotdog stand (I had never heard of it). I didn't have a hotdog because I hate hotdogs and I was still stuffed from that Rueben sandwich at Yellow Magnolia Cafe at the botanic garden. If you like amusement parks, then Coney Island may be worth visiting, otherwise there really isn't much to see, and it quite a long subway ride from everything. I did find the seagulls interesting, however, as they looked and sounded quite different from the seagulls here in Vancouver. Not sure how I haven't reviewed before.... This boardwalk is centrally located within the aquarium, the beach and Luna Park. You can easily make a day out of it with so many things to do depending on someone's preference. There's also tons of places to eat and shop alongside the boardwalk. The boardwalk is also very clean, which surprised me.

While vacationing in NYC, we decided to plan a day at the iconic Coney Island, New York Aquarium and Brighton Beach. We took the Q train subway ride about an hour from Manhattan to the end of the southwest section of Brooklyn. We were there during the week in the off season so no amusement rides operating but several food concessions were open. The wide boardwalk and the view of the ocean, make it a great place to stroll. We continued the walk to Brighton Beach. It was a nice day.

We spent a couple of hours enjoying the boardwalk this past weekend, while we were visiting the NYC area attractions. It was very easy to find street parking, and there is also parking garages as well. We decided to park on the street, because we just wanted to grab some local food and enjoy the beach. It was not very crowded on either the boardwalk or the beach, which was great for travelers. There were a few street vendors along the boardwalk, so if you want to get a snack it's available. The fall weather was great for us, and I'm sure that it'll be getting cooler very soon.

This place is a complete mess and it's so dirty. Not sure how people still go there. Find a nicer and cleaner beach.

I literally went there only to ride the coaster. We came from the Aquarium next door, and we were going to get food at L&B Spumoni after, so it was just a quick stop. But the boardwalk and the beach looked nice, and maybe it would be fun to come for the day and get some hotdogs and fries at the original Nathan's across the street.

I will never go again. Thought we'd be experiencing a fun, historic beachside fair and it was just disgusting. I'm pretty sure we got second-hand-high from the pot, which was unavoidable. People were standing in line for the rides drinking beer and smoking pot, no one caring about anyone around them. The employees were so rude. Literally just saying "get out" to the people on the rides. There was trash absolutely everywhere. Trash cans beyond overflowing. And people were urinating in the streets. Everywhere. Because the restaurants and businesses closed their bathrooms to the public. even the subway bathrooms were closed, despite thousands of people. We walked 8 blocks trying to find a bathroom. Only good thing was seeing the original Nathan's. Besides that, really wish we'd spent the day doing literally anything else.

The Coney Island Boardwalk is a great destination for anyone looking to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-maintained the boardwalk was, with plenty of beautiful murals to admire as I strolled along. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, making it easy to grab a refreshing drink or a bite to eat. Whether you're in the mood for a classic hot dog or a more substantial meal, there's something for everyone. In addition to the shops and restaurants, Luna Park and the aquarium are both located nearby, offering even more opportunities for fun and entertainment. Whether you're looking to ride some thrilling roller coasters or get up close and personal with some amazing sea creatures, there's no shortage of things to do in the area. But perhaps the biggest draw of the Coney Island Boardwalk is the beach itself. With about 3.5 miles of shoreline, it's the perfect place to relax and soak up some sun while enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze. Whether you're looking to take a dip in the water or simply lounge on the sand, you're sure to have a great time at this iconic New York City destination. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Coney Island Boardwalk. With its beautiful murals, great selection of shops and restaurants, and nearby attractions like Luna Park and the aquarium, it's the perfect place to spend a fun-filled day at the beach. You can also people watch and catch the wide variety of characters New York City produces :)

Holy Cheap, Borderline Dangerous, Fun, Batman!! This is the place where you come, drink their brand of beer, and go home with a splinter, a hangover...and possibly a love-bite from a local rat.....and amazing memories. Fun times for all...once. Mayyybe twice. Ever..

PROS: the rides were amazing just by looking at them and the boardwalk was long. Beach was large and it was clean. They even had a fishing pier, restaurants, and stores all over the boardwalk. It reminded me of point pleasant NJ CONS: Despite the fact that everything was closed in March without any warning the place is located in a seedy part of Brooklyn where there is crime. Also parking is very limited OVERALL: I will be coming back here in the summer, i would advised to only come here in the summer and during daylight hours

I come here for the memories. The sand is constantly filled with trash. It's really a shame because it's so convenient with its location having so many stores around and the amusement parks. I can't really recommend this beach just for the beach. The boardwalk is always a must. Try to stay away from the garbage on the beach when you visit and you should be fine. I still recommend coming here because hey, it's coney Island.

I wanted to enjoy visited coney island so much because I've always hoped of going some day. It was pretty dead even though we were there in the afternoon. The rides are very over priced to enter but a bonus was definitely my Nathan's hour dog and delicious lemonade

On a recent trip to NYC and after exploring Brighton Beach for a bit, we wandered over to Coney Island Beach and Boardwalk. The beach is about the same as Brighton Beach but even more crowded. The boardwalk was crowded, too, but it's great people watching and has great beach views. Don't miss the pier. It's a great place to laze, lounge, beach, or walk. On a hot, busy day, get there early if you want a good spot for your beach towel! Great way to spend a hot summer day in the city.

Visiting Coney Island is an experience that everyone should have. However, sincing the park has opened after COVID I can see that businesses are trying to recover and are over charging customers on everything! If you have to drive to Coney Island finding parking is hard but they do have parking lots which used to cost $20 for the day, now cost $30. All the businesses on the boardwalk require you to make a purchase if you want to use their bathrooms. To me the magic of Coney Island has gone down hill with garbage every where, rides costing way way more than a park visit at Disney, and on top of that Luna Park (which I would not recommend, but I would say Deno's is better) is charging spectators $20 just to enter the park!? Why!? A life guard told me to take my infant's floaty off? Are you kidding me? You want my kid to drown? Also my older kids who can swim couldn't have any buggy boards, or toys out in the water! Then why would you sell it on the boardwalk if you can't use it on the beach?! Seriously its a Beach! Where do you expect people to use those things! Coney Island will always have a special place in my heart but after this weekend's experience my trip back to this place will be limited. For any tourists looking to come here I will give you some advice as a former New Yorker. 1. Try to find parking on the street if you can so try to go early. You may have a walk a bit but it is worth saving money. 2. If you want to go on the rides, check out Deno's Amusement Park which has the Wonder Wheel, there are more of the classic Coney rides there, plus more rides for the little ones and you pay per ride, and spectators are FREE!!! 3. The Cyclone you can pay separately you don't have to pay Luna Park's crazy priced admission to enjoy the classic coaster. Also the newest Coaster The Phoenix is at Dino's!

If getting a beautiful beach is a bonus, getting a beach with boardwalk is double bonus and what is a beach with boardwalk and an amusement park? Triple bonus! We have been here once before, but not to the board walk side. It was in mid March and the winds were too cold to handle. We still spotted several fishing enthusiasts at work with their fishing baits and regular visitors strolling around. We missed the sunset due to delay in finding a parking but the scene was still beautiful with the hues and waves. Looking forward to seeing this place in a summer evening with more crowd. About parking, well Good Luck ;)

If you're a real Brooklynite, like myself, you've spent a considerable amount of time here. It's a love hate relationship with this place-- the water is filthy, the ground is often littered with garbage, you may come in contact with some not so nice people, but in life, everything has pros and cons and I've always had a joyous time here. I remember in my childhood Channel 11 would show that Astroland commercial all summer long. I don't ride roller coaster so I couldn't tell you about the Cyclone, which is what this park is most known for, but I do frequent Dino's and Luna Park (the two kiddie parks) they have a decent amount of rides for kids 3-10 years of age. Only thing I don't care for, is they have different cards and are considered two separate parks. My personal favorites here are Luna Park, the three point shootout (I can't pass up on a competitive game of Basketball), Friday night fireworks in the summer, Nathans on Surf and the bumper cars. Twenty years ago I would have mentioned the beach (just not to get in the water, if you've been here, you'll understand) but It gets way too over crowded on the sand and i know better now. This park will always remind me of my childhood and growing up in Brooklyn. Hopefully next summer it's open again!

It's almost timeless! It's the perfect place for a cooldown in a heatwave in summer, my Wife was the first person who took me here even though I've been to the amusement park with my family in times past but not the beach! It's the ultimate couple with child free destination and if your pockets are ok you can also pick up a few good bites and drinks!

TOURISTS BEWARE!!! There are homeless people here asking you for money everywhere and I mean that. If you want to be on a nice boardwalk by the beach, your best bet is Florida. Don't come here! People throw trash everywhere and no janitors to clean it up. Every 5 ft someone has their personal music blaring so its really not enjoyable.

Amazing time at the beach, first time visiting in about forty years. So, there's a boardwalk, amusement park rides, food, beverages and the Frickin Atlantic Ocean. A good time was had by all who rode the F Train that day. It's a day at the beach. C"mon down

Beautiful beach with loads of open sand, area for sun bathing and set up and miles of gorgeous beach and swimming area. Coney Island was great! The boardwalk was fun with the famous Luna Park and Nathan's hotdogs stand and much more! Lots to see and enjoy along the way and plenty of free public restrooms and changing areas. Quick and easy into the city and out on the Q train or F.

[+] - Cyclone is a must - 10 credits $10 - tons of fun carnival games - classic ring toss, ball spin, knock the blocks, etc. and huge prizes for those who can win - fun arcade there with decent newer games - delicious gelato - drinks/food are reasonably priced, surprisingly - $3.50 a soda [-] - Thunderbolt sucks compared to Cyclone - short ride for $10, and no major drops since you're buckled in by the chest area - carnival games are impossible to win - especially the ring toss! Had a fun time walking around, being healthy, and enjoying the park. The day pass for the rides are totally worth it if you're going to go on more than 4 rides, and the food here is pretty decent!

Last summer, I attended the sand castles competition. I enjoyed watching how serious these competitors looked while creating their masterpieces. Some of them made castles, mermaids and fishes. The fans are young and old. If you have never been there, you need to add it on your list. It's so much fun just observing. While I walked around the beach, I texted my friend, Lizzy about it. She informed me, I should had told her I was there. I teased her that her Irish skin won't be able to tolerate the beaming sun. Her reply was she was willing to take the risk just to say she went to a sand castles competition.

If you live in NY and haven't visited Coney Island, you're not a real New Yorker and I bet you don't even own a black puffer jacket. Avoid the expensive theme park and just grab food from any vendor (they're all equally delicious) and enjoy the free theme park that is people watching on the boardwalk - thank me later

Not bad at all for a free beach. There was plenty of space to sit on the beach and soak in the May sun.

If you come to NY, or if you live in NYC you must go to Coney Island at least once, or forever in your life time. Coney is an experience that does not lack a dull moment. I have been going here since, I was a child. You have the beach, the board walk, Nathan's, music, rides, drinks, dancing, fireworks, and all you can imagine or wished for in Brooklyn.

I had a lot of fun here! I found the Boardwalk with the food, drinks and shops to be very small in comparison to what I'm use to. However, it was still a fun time! The rides were extremely fun. I had the best time on the Cyclone! That was definitely my favorite ride there. They had a good police presence and I felt very safe at all times. I spent about $35 per person for the Thrill Seekers pass which is a lot if you don't plan on going on most of the rides but I didn't have to wait for anything and I did get some use out of the passes. I definitely suggest to check this place out at least once.

I took my mom to see Coney Island yesterday for her first time. I hadn't been since 2012; wow, what' a change. It is so dirty and ran down. The area has definitely taken a hit, trash all over the streets and boardwalk. I gave the 2 starts for the history of the place but that's it.

Just a great old school iconic place to spend a Summer weekend. On a nice day it's a terrific walk with a great view of the ocean. Ignore the trash and bombarding seagulls, and above all do not step in that mystery liquid on the Boardwalk! Grab a super unhealthy bite to eat at one of the shops along the way. Pizza, corndogs, ice cream, sausage & peppers, and pretty much any fried thing you can think of. We know it's bad but tastes so good. Chuckle when the seagulls swoon in to attack anything that drops to the ground. Try to ignore the weekend crowds but be very aware of your wallet and pocketbooks. There is an element of those who congregate here and look for easy targets. Mostly it's families with kids during the day, and those looking to have some fun with friends. Later at night it can a different story. Have some fun and enjoy the rides and play some games in the midway/arcade. Go see the carny freak show. Go check out a fun baseball game experience and watch the Cyclones play at the wonderful MCU stadium here. Heck, they are the Mets farm club and at times are actually better than the major league team! Grab a Nathan's hot dog on the way out. Have a few as one is never enough. Feel guilty for eating them immediately after. Coney Island is a NYC institution, for better or worse depending how you look at it.

After my last 3 previous trips to New York City, of 1996, 2013, 2014 Coney Island of Brooklyn New York was that one place that I having been dreaming to go to New York City bucket list... In those last previous NYC vacation trips of 1996, 2013, 2014 I missed out completey and regreted myself 3 three times for not going to the Coney Island of Brooklyn New York!!! Due to the other fun activities that got in the way of Coney Island!!! Unti the Summer Of June 2019... When I made the trip back to New York City with my family!!! And this time on my 4th time back to New York CIty, I made sure that this time and made it clear this time for me and for my family that we won't miss going to Coney Island of Brooklyn New York!!! And finally on a Wednesday of June 26th 2019 we took the famous NYC subway train line just to get there which was a long ride from Flushing New York to Brooklyn New York!!! As I got here to the Coney Island of Brooklyn New York!!! I said to myself yayyyyy my long wait has finally came to a end when I didn't have the chance of going to this famous place of Brooklyn New York in the last 3 previous years of 1996 2013 2014 now that I am here despite on the day I was here it was 90 Degrees it was sooooo hotttttt but it didnt stop me at all from having fun!!! I walked on the beach and felt the waves of the ocean water as well!!! I ate the famous Nathans Hot Dogs just like Joey Chestnut and Matt Stonie did in the Coney Island Hot Dog eating competition or you can say contest... Now that I finally ate their famous Coney Island Nathans Hot Dogs of Brooklyn New York all I can say is that it would be my most memorable time of June 2019 that I will never forget!!! After that it was time for me to do some souvenir shopping at the gift shops of Coney Island Brooklyn New York!!! And I did buy me some Coney Island Souvenirs such as Keychains, Buttons, Coney Island Medium Sized T-Shirt I even took some Sea Shells from the beach as well... As a memory on how much fun. I had at Coney Island of Brooklyn New York!!! If your here on vacation visiting New York the city that doesn't sleep my suggestion to you yelpers and non yelpers go out there and visit Coney Island of Brooklyn New York!!!

Never been heard of Conley Island until I seen an episode of Manifeston Netflix, the episode when the father and son went to Conley Island. It looked like a really fun place. So when I decide to visit NYC and decided to visit and see what it was all about. It was more than what I expected. It is a huge, long Beach front with a really nice boardwalk. The boardwalk has restaurants and games. The beach was amazing! They have nice rides and attractions. You do have to pay for parking. Really awesome place to visit in Brooklyn with family or friends. Conley Island is open from April to October. Hours of operation are Monday to Thrusday from 12pm to 10pm and Friday & Saturday from 11am to 12am, then Sunday 11am to 11pm.

I recall coming to Coney Island back in the mid-90s when I was a NYC neophyte. I was broke and didn't know anyone and for the cost of a token (this was pre-Metrocard) I could take the F train from my apartment in Windsor Terrace to this seaside mecca. Even in the 90's, it was a little shady but the sun and the water were free so who was I to complain? Now the area is much nicer than it was, with upgrades and improvements made to the boardwalk, the facilities, the subway station, etc. I love coming down here to have a beer at Coney Island Brewing or go for a stroll along the boardwalk. It's very relaxing to feel the sun and hear the waves. Sure, there are still some sketchy characters hanging around but for the most part this is a safe and wholesome place to while away the summer days. My love for Brooklyn is strong and this is an iconic place in my favorite borough.

"Warriors come out to play Warriors come out to play" i just couldn't resist it. Here we are finally at the world famous Coney island Brooklyn! Just one train ride that lasted maybe 30-40 mins and once we exited the train man this place was jumping!! The train station itself was larger than any other that I've seen so far here in NYC. Hundreds of people walking the streets of Coney island heading to the beach (which i didnt even know therethere's a beach here until two weeks prior while watching a YouTube video ) some heading to the park and to the theme park area to eat play games or enjoy the rides. Just so much going on here to be honest. We make our way up the street and the first thing i notice is Nathans hot dog sign which has a huge wall of fame of contestants.The contest was the day before we were out there which I was okay with missing that event. No time to see folks stuffing hotdogs down their throats I'll pass still cool to see. Then right at the corner is the original Nathan's 100+ yrs old and it was packed. I mean there's at least 10 plus cashiers and there were lines outside the door on both ends it was crazy. I didn't even make a attempt to get one. My wife turns into a kid as soon as we get near a theme park so needless to say she went missing to get on rides. I went and olayed a few games my daughter won a toy on the very first game she played she was excited. Beers were a lil on the high end but hell i didn't pay so why complain right? I didn't explore or get the full effect of Coney Island because, I was kicking it with my kids who are still toddlers and there wasn't much i they could do right. Next time I'm definitely going to walk the boardwalk and walk out on the sand to see the Brooklyn beachfront.
