To be honest, I was just there for an espresso, so I didn’t try any of the sweets. However, I can tell you that this place has a very aesthetic atmosphere, and I’d love to return sometime just to enjoy the beautiful views from the windows.

Pastries are awesome and made in house. It was hopping busy but we got served asap, with coffees and pastry delivered to our seats on the covered patio overlooking the river. A literal bird ate crumbs from my wife's hand. I half expected someone to burst into song from an overhead window.

Confeiteria da Ponte, conveniently located at the end of the Ponte de São Gonçalo bridge is a quaint, affordable pastry shop offering a great selection of local pasteries of which the main ingredient is egg and almond. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We sat outside on the terrace with a view of the bridge and river. Umbrellas are available to shelter from the sun, yet still enjoy the breeze. We enjoyed our time on the terrace sampling our pasteries and drinking coffee. It's a cozy and relaxing atmosphere and the perfect stop after lunch.

A guy in the supermarket recommended me to visit this confeitaria. He told me also this place was the first sweet house in this town. I got four pieces of sweets here including a piece of egg tart. They tasted very good!

Amazing in every sense of the word. As with most things in Amarante, this quaint little confectionery is beautifully nestled on top of the river. It is quite the vibe to be sitting outside sipping on your espresso and relishing in the sweet treats. Savory options were limited when we visited. Try the Goncalo. Oh, and papos de anjo!

Fast service: 5/5 Friendly service: 3/5 Tasty food: 3/5 Value for money: 3/5 The place offers a wide selection of traditional local pastries where the main main ingredients are egg and almond. Expect very sweet tastes, and consider sharing. Mink in the cappucino was overheated. Tip tip: Consider an espresso to balance out the sweetness of the pastries.
