This is the most bizarre hotel I have ever encountered in all my travels around the world! They provide breakfast but require guests to wash their own dishes. There’s even a very intimidating old man 😱 on site, watching to see if everyone has cleaned their dishes properly, inspecting each and every bowl and plate! This experience was extremely unpleasant. If I had known I needed to wash dishes myself, I would never have booked this hotel. What’s even worse is that my parents are over 70 years old and were still asked to help wash dishes! Our whole family, including my dad, mom, and wife, felt extremely uncomfortable because of this rule. We came here for a vacation, not to work for the hotel. Moreover, this hotel is in a poor location with low quality, yet it’s more expensive than places I’ve stayed in Chiang Mai. It’s simply not worth it! Additionally, the hotel staff specifically approached my mother afterwards, saying she didn’t wash the dishes. This made us feel very strange and uneasy. How did you know? Are there surveillance cameras? If there really are, then you’re monitoring customers, which is a serious violation of privacy! This makes us feel completely undignified, unsafe, and very scared. If this is how you treat guests, then may I ask, are other hotels in Thailand like this too? Why is it that only this one gave us such a terrible experience? If the hotel thinks such rules are normal and reasonable, you should at least clearly inform customers when booking, especially ensuring that guests are aware of such requirements. You even have access to guests’ passports and know our ages, yet you still require my parents to wash dishes. This is truly excessive. Your breakfast was already the simplest and worst I’ve ever had, and adding such unreasonable demands is truly unacceptable. My hands are prone to allergies, but looking at that intimidating old man, I was afraid. After all, I’m a tourist, not here to argue with people, so I endured and washed the dishes. However, by the afternoon, my hands had broken out in rashes again due to allergies. Actually, if you’re going to do this, you might as well not include breakfast, as it makes people very uncomfortable. I strongly advise other travelers not to choose this hotel. The service here is not only poor but also full of various unreasonable rules, seriously affecting your vacation mood. I also hope the hotel can reflect on its own problems, apologize to us, and improve such unreasonable behavior. Otherwise, it will only continue to damage Thailand’s reputation as a tourist destination!

Clean hostel. Everyone speak perfect English. They let me check in late with self check in. Breakfast is included and is butter/jam, egg, fruit and pancakes and coffee. Wifi works good. It's walking distance to terminal bus 1 for the temples and Chiang Mai

Good service and decent room. About 20min walk to the clock tower. You get a choice of fried or scrambled egg for breakfast.

Nice and clean hostel with dedicated bathroom and shower including public options as well. The hostel staff was very friendly. A big plus is that they have a Nintendo Switch with some games, a lot of board games as well as some books, so it won't get boring. Unfortunately we didn't meet many people there to connect. However it was all in all a nice stay. Close to some parts of the city and at night very quite, so you will definitely get some good rest. The doors are also secured with key cards. You can also rent bikes here. In my personal opinion one of the offered trips was a little bit pricey, but that's just my personal view. Besides that I don't have any negative to say about the hostel.

Great place for the price you pay. Rooms are exactly as shown in pics. We had booked a twin bed room and it had all necessary items. The hostel owners are very kind and polite. They allowed us early check in as the room we booked was available. Good location. You can also get motorbike on rent.

we are finishing up a month in Thailand and have stayed at a dozen places. Everyone has always been very nice, but at Connect Hostel, the entire staff is absolutely awesome. They are always smiling, always doing things to help that you didn’t even ask for but they saw could be helpful for you (like calling around to find you transportation options that you didn’t even ask for, ordering new kids helmets for riding scooters since they didn’t have them, again without even asking). They just genuinely want to run a place that takes care of the people that stay with them and I don’t know what else you would want!Other perks- very clean, water machines with filtered cold water, pancake machine in the morning, very stable good internet connection throughout, super safe locked building at night, plenty of common areas to do work, laundry machines on site, 10 minute walk to bus station!
