So we checked in on Friday night, Saturday morning at around 9 a.m we were woken up by hammers, saws, chisels and the sound of a very loud work crew. The hotel knew this was going to be going on and still placed us right next to this. We contacted the front desk and they said, sorry we are at full capacity but we can send someone up and ask if they can quiet down. So basically ask them if they could hammer quieter ? Oh, and the super helpful person at the front desk said, They stop at five! We came up to take a nap and can’t even do that because this joke of a hotel has a construction crew on a Saturday when they are at full capacity. They called my husband back at 3:30 and offered to switch our room, so they lied to me when they told me they had no more rooms available. He said no, because we weren’t even in the room because we couldn’t stand to be there, so by the time we got back they were supposed to be done for the night. Four hundred dollars a night to stay in Indianapolis… Indianapolis and this greedy hotel has construction going on! Monday through Friday I could understand, because if you are coming in for business you’re more than likely gone before 9 a.m. if your coming in for a concert and you want to enjoy your time on the weekend but you can’t because they have saws, hammers, god knows what else, that’s a joke. Stay elsewhere! To add they did not stop at five. They continued on well past till a hotel staffer came up and told them they needed to stop because they had guests complain. So they threw that on the guests that paid over double the normal rates to stay in this hotel and then couldn’t even sleep. Greedy. Dirty and not worth it. Stay at one of the hotels near it. This place isn’t worth the money and isn’t willing to do the right thing. They will comp a room for guests who complain about dogs barking, but won’t make it right when they have a construction zone in the rooms right next to yours. Edit: So after arguing with us and giving us the run around, they finally said that they would give us a refund for our stay, since we had to sleep in a construction zone, slash fire hazard. We got the refund today, and it was 239.48 short of our full refund. My husband spent 45 minutes on the phone with Expedia, just to find out this hotel did not authorize a full refund like they said they would. Please stay elsewhere. There are plenty of decent hotels right down the street.
