I enjoyed the Chicago style hot dog. The “knife and fork” chili dog was also good. The French fries were hot crispy and excellent. If you are hungry two hot dogs might be wise. Street parking can be a challenge but it is worth the stop for a good hot dog.

Far better than a hot dog stand needs to be. The dogs are gastronomically and visually delightful, better than you'd expect if you were actually in Chicago. Their fries are perfect. Fancy fountain drinks were a hit with my group. Owners are super friendly. Every once in a while, you wander in to a business that reminds you of what it's like when someone is really dedicated to providing the best product and the best customer service. This is one of those rare places. After our lunch there, I left thinking "that was special."

Amazing food!!! We got the Polish sausage and the Sicilian—both packed with incredible flavor—and the kids loved the Chicago dogs. If you’re driving through Idaho Springs, this is a must-stop. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience at Conrad’s! The Chicago roast beef sandwich was absolutely delicious – the beef was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The peppers added a nice kick without being too overpowering. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was fresh. The service was fast and friendly too. Highly recommend if you’re craving a tasty, hearty meal!

The menu looked great, but my hungry 8yo daughter wanted a "plain hotdog with just ketchup". They hooked her up. I ordered fries which were delicious. Very nice staff. Also, the restaurant was spotless/super clean...which is a weird thing to notice but wanted to give a shout out to the staff maintaining the restaurant. AND, there's a place next door if you'd like a nice drink on a patio with your hot dog after a hike or bike ride.

This is the cutest little place! I loved all the variety to choose from. This was the best hotdog I've had in a while! My fries were SO CRISPY & so good. The fountain drinks were superb as well.. usually you can't get a good fizz from most food places, but that's not the case here.

I randomly drove past this place and knew I had to stop. Who doesn't love a hot dog? Man did it hit the spot. The dogs had that perfect snap when you bite into them. Ingredients were fresh and perfectly proportioned to the dog itself. I inhaled my food embarrassingly fast. And they have classic old fashioned soda options like root beer, cream soda, etc which felt like a special treat. The owner was super friendly. He told me they've only been open for a little while; definitely a local business worth supporting. I'll be back!

I'm not much of a hot dog connoisseur myself, but my boyfriend is. And he said it was a decent one, as far as "gourmet" hot dogs go, but for the price, he would've rather had a Subway sandwich like me! All in all it seemed a bit gimmicky / touristy to me.

Perfect meal after a day in the mountains! Beautiful spot in Idaho Springs, Co. The owners are great! Will be back for sure.

This place does a great job at one thing- Hotdogs. Had the chicago dog and macaroni salad. Both were good. Macaroni salad was a little wavy on the mayo for my taste, but still good. Service was friendly and fast. Great place when you want a quick bite.

Everything here is phenomenal, from the service to the food and desserts. Saw this store right in front of the bbq place we dined in at for lunch, and we had to check it out, especially after reading all of the amazing reviews. I'm so happy I get to be one of those people who get to talk about how great this place is! I wish I got her name, but the lady at the register was the sweetest. We ordered 3 different hot dogs: the Chicago, east coast, and Maxwell. We also got 3 cookies- 2 white chocolate macadamia nut + 1 pecan chocolate chip... originally ordered just one, but IT WAS TOO GOOD I had to get more. I would've regretted it if I didn't. The lady said she had baked them fresh in the morning!! Lemme start off with the cookies because I dug into that thing as soon as she handed it to me. Cookie is HUGE. The edges are so crispy, and the inside is soft and chewy. I love how they load the cookie with a generous amount of chocolate chips because you get one in every bite. My favorite was the white chocolate macadamia. The pecan chocolate chip was good, very rich and decadent, but I prefer white chocolate chip! I highly recommend trying out their homemade cookies!! All three hotdogs were delicious. Really got a good snap when biting into the sausages. You can taste every ingredient of the hotdog, nothing too much nothing too little. Awesome flavors! It would've tasted better had we eaten it fresh, but we were too full from the bbq lolol. I will be back next time I visit! Not much seating inside, but they have outdoor seating as well. Street parking or small lots to park in nearby!!

Conrad and JENNIFER were so nice and Friend! The Italian beef sandwich, which I haven't had in about 25 years in Charlotte North Carolina was huge and delicious! Coming back next time for Sicilian sausage.

I've been visiting this spot since the day they opened. If you know Chicago beef and dogs, and miss it, go here. It's a beautiful drive and the place is clean, the family that owns is friendly and bust their butts making this place great.

Everything you would hope a hot-dog spot to be! I work in the area and this has become one of our go-to spots, and where we take a lot of visitors who are looking for a good, quick bite. The first thing you notice is that this place is very clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly, and they turn around orders efficiently. They also have a great selection of unique sodas to choose from. I have had the All-American Dog, Bratwurst, and fries from here, and all were great. I liked the neon green Chicago relish. Food is a good portion and has just the right amount of toppings to go with it. The fries were awesome - my favorite style of French fry. Everyone I have eaten with has loved what they ordered, ranging from the hot dogs, to the sandwiches. I will definitely be returning often, and would recommend this as a spot to eat if you are in Idaho Springs!

True blue classic Chicago style all beef Vienna Hot dogs w all the trimmings. Good bite to the dog, classic onion mustard relish hot pepper pickle & warm poppyseed bun. Lucky us.....just made deviled egg potato salad & real nice folks to boot. If you're a fan of the Chicago style hot dog....Conrad's won't disappoint! He's got other Chicago style sandwiches: Italian beef, Rubinstein, Polish Sausage sign us....passing through on our way back to Chicago

Fun! It's a little bit of Chicago. Let's face it, hot dogs aren't as popular here as they are back east, which makes this little spot so awesome. It's a real hot dog joint with everything you'd expect. They even have a stand up bar to eat at. I got the chili cheese dog with added hot giardiniera. Delish! Exactly what I expected and wanted. Had a giant side of fries that were good too. The folks that were working the counter were super friendly even though they were super busy. I recommend this joint for sure!

Top tier hot dog. It hit the spot nicely. I got the Chicago dog which was very good. My boyfriend got the American dog which he also enjoyed. We got fries and cheese sauce as a side, very good as well. The staff is super friendly.

I should start off by saying I'm a hotdog connoisseur. From NYC style to Chicago style, LA style and Sonoran style, I know my hotdogs. On our way home from Breckenridge, we didn't get a chance to stop by Ein Prost in Frisco, which easily has the best German Brats and I was weirdly craving a hotdog. Lucky me- we pulled into idaho springs to pick up a take home Beaujos for the kids and we drove by Conrad's. I immediately told my husband to stop because I wanted a hotdog and I generally have a strong intuitive sense of when the food will be good. There was no one in line but there was something delicious about the spot. So we ordered regular hotdog and two American style with mustard and kraut, plus the pretzel with cheese. These hotdogs did not disappoint. The hotdog itself was perfectly crisp, meaning we're dealing with a quality dog, the sesame bun was warm to perfection, the fries were so flavorful and crispy! Everything was so delicious that I regretted not buying two for me! I'm so happy we found Conrad's because we will be stopping here every chance we get as we head out west on I-70. Do yourself a favor and stop by the Conrad's shop. They are such a kind and lovely couple! Lastly- we thought the prices are right. Given the location and cost of food, it's perfect. If you want a cheap and less quality meal, hit up the 7-11.

Conrad's rules! Our bachelor party stopped in for hot dogs and they treated us so well. The food was out-of-this-world good and the staff was incredibly friendly. 1000% worth stopping by!!

The food was incredible and the service was amazing!! Really wanted a Chicago dog so on our drive back found this place. The ambiance is great felt super relaxing inside and out. This will definitely be a go to spot coming up or down the mountains.

Stupid Money for a Poor Sandwich. How can you mess up a Vienna Beef ( by over charging ).

This is the most authentic Chicago do I have had in Colorado! Celery salt, sport peppers and neon green pickles relish!!! So tasty. Inside so clean. Fun atmosphere Why sit in traffic get a beef and a dog!

Service was friendly and quick. Food was amazing got the Chicago dog and a pretzel which had the perfect crisp not soggy. Would definitely recommend stopping by and sitting on their patio enjoying the scenery.

Good hot dogs. I thought it was going to be better than it was to be honest. The vibe outside is super nice. The food was quick. The hot dog it self was good but the bread could be toasted. The staff were very friendly to my husband. It's about $7.50 for a hot dog, I think it's a bit priced up but then again everything is in this area.

This place is tiny and doesn't have much seating, but the food is great. They make hot dogs and sandwiches; that's it. I had a chili cheese dog and it was great. The staff was very friendly and chatty, and even though it was very crowded, they go through orders quickly. A great quick lunch in the crisp mountain air!

Just left the hot springs and needed a bite to eat before getting on the road to Denver and this place hit the spot! Suuuuper nice people working there and fast, tasty food! I had the veggie dog added sauerkraut, my boyfriend had the classic and we were both very impressed. Tasty toppings and soft buns. Definitely stop here next time you're passing through

Holy Cow! I just got back from Chicago and had Italian beef for the first time and thought it was the best. Wel...then I stumbled on Conrad's and they blew that place out of the water. Hands down the best Italian beef sandwich in town. Now I have my go to spot in Idaho Springs. Seriously do your self a favor and get over here this place has to last a very long time! I would post a picture but I killed the sandwich too fast.

Finally a fast place to get great food going from the mountains to Denver or vice versa! My family stopped here last weekend coming down from Summit to Denver for the day and we do not eat meat but they had a great plant based hot dog that we all got, Chicago style and fries that the kids loved. This will be my new to go food place on way to Denver. The owner's took the order and cooked the food and were excellent to talk with. Just hope they expand their plant based menu to another item or two!

Saw this in Idaho Springs today was amazed to see Chicago style food on it, walked in and immediately knew this was going to be a great place, the owners were amazing people with a lot of pride on their product and they didn't disappoint, ordered a Chicago Hot dog and a polish and Italian beef sandwich, the food looked like the real deal and it tasted even better than most places in Chicago, the Maxwell Polish sausage was amazingly delicious, the beef was better than Portillo's, what a great find in the mountains of Colorado.

I don't need to repeat what everyone is saying. Just here to give a 5 star review. If you love hotdogs, this is one of the few places here that does it well. If you pass thru and are hungry, this hits that spot.

Food was great and service was exceptional. Didn't think there was another place outside of Chicago and Philly that can get you mouth watering hotdogs and Italian beef sandwiches.. Conrad's at Idaho Springs CO beat my expectations... and will definitely visit this location next time we're in town!

Wow, these should be called microdogs. Maybe add a full dog for once. Highly overrated, average tasting food. Customers should avoid and frankly boycott this place. Staff and service were okay. I hope more people spend the $20++ to understand the scam these guys are running for a year. There are hardworking taco food trucks all over CO who provide better food a than this place. Maybe the owners need a short trip to a couple of hot dog places to understand what it tastes like and take customer criticism constructively. But again, that's what successful businesspeople ought to do. And Yes, charging for substandard food in the name of useless pride will always be 'entitlement, and who cares because there'll be a 'certain' group of people to support it. Food is food, and it needs to taste good, everything else is auxiliary. Hope this place shuts down soon and the staff finds better options elsewhere.

The food and the service were amazing! We stopped here on a whim at 5:30pm on a Friday driving back to Denver to get a bite and a break from the traffic. I would highly recommend that others stop to enjoy this delicious little spot. There's some indoor seating and outdoor seating as well. Very cute atmosphere too!

Good hot dogs and cheese fries. The reasons for 3 stars are the prices are high, very limited seating and if you want water you have to buy a bottle. We had the chili cheese dog which was tasty but almost $10. Had a couple of plain dogs for the kids and it was $7 per hot dog. Good food but way overpriced.

We drove over an hour to have their food and it did not disappoint! We ordered a Chicago dog & the East Coast and WOW! Spot on! They serve Stubborn soda which is hard to find. It was SO good that we ordered several more items to go! The owners are friendly and amazing! Cute and CLEAN restaurant! It's a MUST!!

We decided to have lunch at Conrad's because the building caught our attention. When you enter you are greeted by friendly staff and a very clean environment. I ordered the East Coast hit dog with cheese fries. The hot dog was $7 and the fries were $8 and my drink (8oz) was $5. With tax an a tip(rolls eyes) my total was $22!! This is why I'm giving two stars. Extremely overpriced. The hotdog itself was nothing special. It was small, I killed it with just three bites. The cheese fries were nothing special either. The jumbo hotdogs at 7-11 are way tastier. I was still hungry after I ate. Next time I'll go across the street and spend that type of money on some bbq.

The hits dogs are so good! With the skin etc. and you can get all the toppings like sauerkraut. My husband likes the sausages and the Italian beef sandwich was ooh worthy. Superb my husband says. A nice clean and well run business!

Owners Shaun and Jennifer Conrad are warm, wonderful hosts who maintain a clean, inviting restaurant that makes you feel right at home. As a transplant from Chicago, where Vienna products are a staple, Conrad's takes me back home with their delicious Vienna hot dogs, Italian beef, and Italian sausage. The portions are very generous; like the Vienna hot dog that is longer than the bun and the huge servings of french fries. The quality is unbeatable. One of my favorite touches is their old-fashioned soda bar, reminiscent of the classic soda shops of days gone by. It's the perfect spot to grab a refreshing drink to complement your meal.
