This place is a GEM. So affordable for a great location and a very nice room. Bigger than I expected. Spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed and posh sheets| Room nice and cool even in the hottest day of year. Very friendly staff| Cafe downstairs is very welcoming and trendy and also a good place to sit and work - WiFi was great in room and cafe| A hotel room like this in London (where I live) would be ar least three times the price! Will definitely come back to stay again when I am in Amsterdam next time. Chic and a bargain!

Super! I had doubts when booking this hotel, but after visiting, I can confidently say it was totally the right choice, and they are great in everything! The location is perfect: trams are nearby, it's quiet, and there is no outside noise. Water canals and a park are also nearby. It's not far from the city center. Breakfast is perfect: they offer a wide choice of different foods. They make vegan food, and while I am not vegan myself, I was always full, and everything was fresh and super tasty! Amazing breakfast! The rooms are good: a standard room, clean, quiet, with a nice view of the city life from the window. I had a special request to be accommodated on the highest possible floor, and they fulfilled it. The bathroom has a cozy design, a very good shower, no leaks, and it was tidy. So, overall, I would recommend it and definitely will visit again. Special thanks to the staff for the warm conversations and clean room.

We recently stayed at this hotel as a family of three and booked a triple room, which, according to their website, should have included a king bed and a single bed. However, we were given three single beds instead. When we enquired at Reception, they seemed surprised and claimed that such a room type does not exist in their hotel, calling it a website error. Surely, we are not the first family to have booked this room since they opened. Check-in was also an unusual experience. Despite the reception area being quiet, we were directed to use the self-check-in screen while the receptionist stood by and watched. We arrived before the official check-in time, but even though our room was ready, we were told we could only check in early if we paid an extra €15. Instead, we chose to take a stroll in the nearby park, which was a nice way to pass the time. Unfortunately, cleanliness was an issue. Upon entering the room, we found hair in the bathroom and dust throughout. I had to request housekeeping to clean it properly. Additionally, my son needed an extra duvet, and despite asking four different reception staff over three days, it was never brought up. In the end, my husband had to go down himself, wait until they sorted it, and bring it up. Given the lack of service and these issues, we would not choose to stay here again. We have since found better options in the area, including those closer to the city center, offering similar pricing but much better service and facilities.

Super friendly and welcoming people. A great easy going atmosphere. Location wise, apart from Vondelpark being around the corner, there’s some great restaurants and tattoo studios in walking distance. For food: Annapurna is awesome! Check out their delicious Nepalese menu! No News tattoo studio has some amazing artists ready to enrich your body and soul!

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Amsterdam for a conference. The room was really nice and the location was pretty good. I loved the eco and organic vibe, definitely up my street! The only negative was the check in process. We arrived in the dark at about 9pm after a late flight and long travel time and we tried to open the door and the two receptionists just stood there and watched us trying to get in (little did we know at the time it was keycard pass only and there was a call button just to the left semi covered by a hedge), which is fine and totally reasonable but they got a bit annoyed with us (so maybe don’t hide the call button!!). When we got in we said we were there to check in and were directed to a tablet for self check in (also fine, I was expecting this) - however, the staff didn’t even really acknowledge us, they didn’t provide any info relating to breakfast, access to the room, where the restaurant was located, if the desk is 24/7 etc etc. yet overhearing someone else checking in the next day - all of this info was provided to them. So ensure you provide the same service to everyone. ||Otherwise, the cleaning staff were super friendly, they said good morning each day and were super smiley which was lovely! The room was clean upon check in but would have appreciated a coffee bag and tea bag for each day for 2x people, not just 2x coffee bag and 2x tea bag for 3 nights.

Had an amazing stay here! Very accommodating and easy-going vibe. Special mention to this amazing kind German woman (unfortunately forgot to ask her name) who helped us get a room early when arrived exhausted at 6am. Earliest spot for coffee in the neighbourhood, best cappuccino ever as well. Loved the location as it is not directly in the center but barely 30mins walk/5mins tram Will be recommending to everyone for their stay in Amsterdam without hesitation.

Great location in the center surrounded by many things. The rooms are very clean and match the description. The staff are super helpful and friendly and the cafe downstairs is lovely to sit in. Good coffee and sweets. I loved the chocolate fudge!

Great hotel stay. The hotel itself is a bit off the beaten path, which is great if you wish to discover Amsterdam and its hip neighborhoods rather than the touristy area around the central canals. Room size compact but sufficient, friendly service. Clean, decent wifi. Hotel lobby can become a bit busy, if you want to work there. Free wine hour! And reduced price on coffee for an hour in the morning. Access to public transit (tram).

Yelp
Room and service was good, but my airpods sat in my room for 3 weeks before getting taken off the property. Called multiple times to have them retrieved and eventually got hung up on. Keep your stuff close.

Yelp
A wonderfully modern hotel in a great location with moderate pricing! Perfect! I had a fantastic stay at The Tire Station. I was pleasantly surprised everyday at how wonderful the hotel was. Things I really loved: -Streamlined DIY (do-it-yourself) check-in that takes 60 seconds to complete -Friendly and helpful staff -Modern property that has a playful, delightful feel -The pictures online look EXACTLY like the hotel itself -Clean, spacious rooms -Sticky Fingers (the cafe in the lobby that has delicious desserts and great coffee/teas) Additional pro-tips: -Free happy hour at the adjacent Moer restaurant from 6-7p for hotel guests -Discounted guest passes to the fancy David Lloyd gym next door (which has a sauna/steam room and pool) -Bike rentals (€15 per day) From what I researched in the Vondelpark area, The Tire Station (or its nearby sister hotel, Conscious Hotel Vondelpark) is the best options in terms of convenience, quality and price. Thank you so much for a truly fantastic stay, Tire Station. I would gladly stay again anytime!

Yelp
A group of my friends and I booked to stay with the tire station during spring break. We are graduate students studying health care and decided to deviate to Amsterdam after volunteering for 2 weeks providing healthcare services to children with disabilities in Africa. We were excited to rest and relax after our philanthropy mission in Ghana, West Africa and booked the "Conscious" Hotel because we really resonated with their mission and wanted to invest our money in a place that had moral values. Unfortunately, we were VERY wrong to choose this hotel. Our trip was cancelled by our university due to the coronavirus outbreak and EVERY single accommodation and airline took pity on our situation and reimbursed us. My friend called the front desk several times and was met with rude employees and a lack of understanding despite providing them with documentation stating our trip was forcibly cancelled. I am SO disappointed in this hotel and their customer service. So much for being conscious and considerate. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Yelp
A group of me and my classmates had a layover in Amsterdam, where we planned to deviate for a few days after completing a university organized, humanitarian trip to Ghana, Africa. We booked our stay at The Conscious Hotel and were very excited because we loved their vibe and overall mission. Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled by our university due to the global health crisis caused by the spread of coronavirus. We had no control over this situation and our university forbade us from traveling internationally until further notice. All of our airlines and other accommodations provided us a full refund, as they understood the complexity of the evolving global crisis. The Conscious Hotel, however, was not accommodating whatsoever and refused to offer my group a refund, despite having written documentation that our trip was forcibly cancelled. The employees were rude, inconsiderate, and refused to compromise. It is so disappointing that this hotel would rather profit off of us and make a couple hundred of dollars than do the right thing. Would not recommend this hotel!!!

Yelp
This hotel is looking to make a profit and does not care about their customers whatsoever. I originally booked this hotel due to their look and mission behind the hotels. I was supposed to stay here with a group of friends in March after completing a medical internship, however due to the global health crisis due to Coronavirus, my university cancelled my trip. Every single one of the other hotels, airlines and reservations that we had made were beyond accommodating and instantly reimbursed me-- no questions asked. I have called the Conscious Hotel three times to plead for a refund, as this cancellation is affecting people worldwide. We are all students, with limited funds as it is. I was met with rude, unaccommodating staff who simply were unwilling to help a group of students. Never, in all the years of my travel have I had a situation like this. Truly, truly disappointed.
