Had the pleasure of attending Evening at the tunnel last night with a group of girl friends. The venue is beautiful- grapevines as far as the eye can see, the mountain was majestic especially with the radiant colours of the sunset. We were given a stem less branded wine glass on arrival with Constantia Royale sav blanc- one of my favorites and easy drinking with subtle notes of fruit on the nose and it's dry. Hay bales with blankets, picnic blankets on the small patch of grass plus a few tables was the searing and wine barrels for standing. Fairy lights decorated the trees and Posticino were making pizzas. Live music by a very talented musician added to the ambiance. I was disappointed that there was barely any seating available for all the guests but yet in the tunnel more tables could've been added than a kids coloring station. 2hrs into the event Posticino ran out of pizza bases. There should be more bases prepared to accommodate all the guests. The one chef said they catered 400 bases which I don't believe as there was probably 100- 150 if that guests. The pizzas looked great and there were long lines. I waited for the line to shorten and then got told no bases left. The pizza was between small - med size and us Cape Townians can eat so should've had enough for everybody. Stunning venue and staff were friendly. Sorry for the videos changing rotation I'm not an expert lol
