It is such an lovely place , beautiful and quite, fine dine in . Easy and accessible. I give them 3 ⭐️ for the food as I was expecting a great food but it was below my average expectations in Toronto. Some dishes were good but some not even close what I was expecting from such a beautiful and fine dine in. I believe it would be a great place if they improve their taste and food qualities. I ordered the seafood pasta 🍝, pizza 🍕 It was salty, over cooked and 2 shrimp 🍤 cut in few pieces in 😅 The chicken liver was better than rest.

Google
Great dinner. Wonderful atmosphere. Was a bit worried about dining here due to the reviews, but I was tired from being out and about all day and decided to give Constantine a try. Very happy. We only ordered appetizers and everything was delicious. Super fresh and tasty! The highlight was the radicchio Caesar salad and tomato and Ontario peach salad. Menu seems seasonal, so maybe eat here during a season that you know you’ll love the flavors. Summer was *chefs kiss*

Amazing Chef’s Secrets series: This was hands-down our fave class yet. We made flatbread pizza from scratch — it’s a workout, but Chef Adam made it super fun and beginner-friendly. You get to try a lineup of insanely good dishes with the group and take home your own dough to recreate the magic. All for just $65 — and if you’re feeling fancy, add wine pairing for only $10. We put our dough to the test and made our own pizzas — and it was delicious. More classes are coming — like gnocchi and Caesar salad.

We visited Constantine expecting a hearty meal, but unfortunately, the servings were quite small — more like appetizer portions than a full adult meal. The flavors were nice and the atmosphere is great, but for the price, the portions just don’t feel worth it. Not the best value for money, though it could work if you’re more into light bites than a filling dinner. This cod (on video) is worth $36 for that little piece plus $12 side broccoli. The broccolini was a replacement for chorizo because one of us doesn’t eat meat, it was not because of the cod was small. The cod was like a size of an appetiser.

Amazing food and chill environment. Drinks were strong but not aggressive. Food was complete fire 🔥 and special shoutout to Robert , our nice server 💯 Definitely will come back.

Constantine has a beautiful interior and a great atmosphere. The space is visually stunning and the vibe is definitely elevated. One small issue is that it’s a bit tricky to find — you first walk into a bar, then have to navigate through to get to the actual restaurant. Some better signage would help a lot. The service was great. The staff were attentive and checked in with us often, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food — specifically the burger — was a major letdown. Both my friend and I ordered the burger, and it was honestly the worst we’ve ever had. The meat was bland, the sauce was unpleasant, and the whole thing was just off. We were both really disappointed and couldn’t even finish it. Overall, while the ambiance and service were lovely, the food quality left a lot to be desired — especially for the price. I don’t think I’d return based on this experience.

Google
Beautiful place to visit for dinner or business meeting. It’s very peaceful and cozy with plenty of delicious high-standard food items choice. Menu is pretty flexible in terms of dietary restrictions or allergies. Serving team is always ready to assist you with that. Also, concept of open kitchen gives you another way to entertain yourself if you come to dine in alone. You can sit at the bar around the kitchen and just watch how your food is being prepared 😌

Google
Phenomenal time, sever was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had the seafood linguine and dry aged duck breast. Highly recommend

Yelp
i went with my friends on nye and don't get me wrong the food was good, but it was great. the prices are a bit much and the selection on the menu was small. everyone in there was dressed like very nice and looked rich. so if you are rich go here, if you aren't rich, dress rich and go here. your very welcome

Yelp
Our hotel bar and restaurant! We loved our stay here and we loved the bar. Can't say anything about the food but the drinks were excellent with such a nice calm chill atmosphere. Service was excellent, our bartender really engaged with us and put up with my questions about drinks and was super knowledgeable and even let us try one of her creations she was working on for her new menu . Yummy fall flavor daiquiri. We had a nice glass of Rosè and I had a paper plane cocktail. I love watching them make the drinks hence always sit at the bar. It was a great first drink of the evening as we set off on our evening adventure . Lovely hotel bar !

Yelp
Let me start by saying the ambience is very nice and welcoming. What I didn't like was our server. She was normal at first but then suddenly started dropping F*** bombs. Me and my guests were thrown off. We asked her what is good from the menu and by the end of our conversation she said "order whatever the fuck you want". We were just stunned. With that behaviour we wanted to leave the restaurant as soon as possible. Maybe she was trying to act friendly in her own way (as people would with people they have known for years and years) and cool, but it didn't come across like that since we weren't reciprocating that same behavior. Now to the food part. The food was delicious but the quantity was really really small. More like appetizers. We searched on google for the menu and it mentioned two different menus, they even say it's Middle eastern but nothing was middle eastern. I had seen hummus, grills, etc but when we got the physical menu, more than half of the menu that I had seen online wasn't there. Apparently they keep changing the menu. In short, our experience was good, confusing and weird. Just a small piece of advice, please train your staff to avoid a unnecessary scene

Yelp
Very bad food quality, one of the worst we ever had in Toronto. Very slow service. We were staying in the hotel and the breakfast was served there. Ver much regretted not dining out. It might look good but taste not

Yelp
Constantine, located in / connected to The Anndore House Hotel, is conveniently steps away from Yonge & Bloor. The interior is elegant, modern, and spacious, but they tend to get busy (especially during peak brunch, lunch, and dinner hours), so making a reservation ahead of time is recommended. There is an open kitchen and bar in the middle of the restaurant, with seatings both at the bar and regular dining tables. The menu consists of Italian, Middle Eastern, and continental cuisines, with something for everyone. The grilled Maitake Mushrooms and BC Sablefish are flavourful, while the vevgetable sides (Wood-Fried Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, Sprouted Cauliflower) are divine. There are also wine pairing options.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was one of the top rated in Toronto and happens to be in a very convenient location. The ambiance is amazing. Contemporary, artsy and tastefully decorated with 3 different rooms. We dined in the formal room and had an amazing selection of dishes to choose from. The salad was very unique, light but flavourful. It was perfect! The pasta was delicious (would have it again) and the salmon was perfectly done with crispy outer skin. Overall very impressed with the food, the price and experience.

Yelp
Constantine was the perfect start to our visit in toronto. To food and the cocktails will beautifully presented and delicious. All the stuff was fantastic but as Emma's on the bar.I highly recommend sitting there. Her maxology skills are awesome! She was also a delight to To chat with, answered our questions about the city, and made great recommendations.

Yelp
I was staying close by Constantine so decided to visit for early evening drinks and bites. It was so good we came by twice. The first visit we sat inside. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. We started with two Into It cocktails. They are gin based and we're absolutely delicious. We also ordered the cheese Manakeesh (it's like a flatbread) and side of fries which comes with a harissa mayo. The fries were absolutely delicious. Thick cut, perfectly crispy and an amazing mayo. The manakeesh was also so good with its creamy flavor. The second visit we came by during their happy hour which is 4pm-6pm and sat outside. We ordered the manakeesh flatbread and fries again, as well as two new Sherry based cocktails. The drinks were delicious a great blend of flavors. The food did not disappoint. The server was also attentive this time around. Definitely worth the visit to Constantine!

Great spot, very cool vibe. Everything was delicious, very much enjoyed my time here. I cannot remember our servers name, but he was awesome!!

Yelp
My fiancé and I tried this place for the first time over the summer, and we had a great experience! Constantine is a fusion of Italian/Mediterranean food, and we really enjoyed every dish we ordered! We started with the beef kofta flatbread, and it was so delicious! It had a little bit of spice from the banana pepper, and I loved tzatziki drizzled on top, it gave the dish a nice creaminess. The beef was also seasoned very well. We also ordered the wedge fries with harissa Mayo as a side and these were amazing!! They were so perfectly crisp on the outside with soft and fluffy potatoes on the inside. The heirloom carrots were also ordered as another side, which were yummy as well. For mains, we ordered the lamb burger and the canestri arrabbiata pasta. The lamb burger was so yummy, super juicy and flavourful. I think I loved the pasta more than the lamb burger though, because it was very creamy with a little spice from the 'nduja sausage. The service here was great, along with the atmosphere! We were seated outside on the patio and it was super nice. My only complaint is that we were so full, and might have ordered a little too much for 2 people. But overall, super happy with this experience!

Yelp
Constantine is pretty all right, but be prepared to pay a premium price for the experience. Wine list is good, but the markup is way high. The food ranges from amazing (the pastas, brunch, the duck liver mousse) to lackluster (the pizza can be soggy and bland.). Service, on the other hand, is always ace, and they have a great bar staff. It's a great spot if you're staying at the hotel, but I wouldn't recommend as a destination.

Richard L.

Yelp
Hadn't been to Constantine since before Covid. We'd enjoyed it in those days when it had more of an Eastern Mediterranean focus. Well, it's as good as ever. The Burrata was fresh, the cherry tomatoes (peeled no less) full of flavour. Loved the Salmon Crudo (better than Alobar's). My wife had the Sablefish and loved the vegetable sides. Service was excellent. Thank you, Mr. Bingley! We'll be back.

Yelp
I love this place! Patio or indoors, this place is great. Tons of space and great decor. The food was excellent. It was hard to choose and looking at their Instagram or photos here didn't make it any easier. I wish there dessert menu was a little different, but still hit the spot. Will definitely go back!

Yelp
Was on a long layover in Toronto and spent the night at the Anndore House hotel connected to the Constantine restaurant. I had dinner with a friend I hadn't seen in years and we had a fantastic time. The restaurant is beautiful and I literally wanted to try everything on the menu but sadly I only had one meal. The appetizer was delicious, I enjoyed my wine, and shrimthe p linguine pasta was incredible. Plus, we got to sit at the chef's bar so we were entertained by watching the kitchen prepare what all looked to be delicious dishes. Our server Kyle was probably the best part of our experience, and that's saying a lot because the food was truly wonderful. Kyle, however, was friendly, fun, and entertaining. We really enjoyed chatting with him and he delicately balanced professional vibes with a casual rapport that made us feel like friends. I'll definitely be back next time life takes me to Toronto.

Yelp
The food was amazing, the service was wonderful. All of the pizzas have chewy crusts and delicious toppings. The pork special was truly special and the brussels sprouts were transcendent.

Yelp
So good! I stayed at the hotel, was tired the first night, so I thought I might try it out. I ended up eating there three consecutive nights. Lol. I had had the roasted chicken, the fish, then the pasta. All excellent.

Yelp
Last night I was lucky enough to get a spot on the patio at Constantine and I'm really thankful for it. It was my first time being there, but based on what I had seen online I knew it was going to be really great. Well, I wasn't disappointed, not in the slightest. The patio is beautiful, comfortable, and all in an a fantastic place to enjoy a meal outdoors. The service was second to none, super friendly, really helpful with suggestions, and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The food... Oh, the food. The portions are great, the pricing is more than fair, and the quality was exceptional. I'm not sure I can say I had a favorite as everything was go good. The flatbreads were on point, the spreads were delicious, the dessert was worth writing home about on its own. And lastly, the wine was beautiful and chilled just right, also the Dark and Stormy drinks were some of the best I've had It's an absolute no brainer that this place is highly recommended by me, you'll likely need a reservation for good reason, but it'll be well worth it and you'll be back again... Just like I will.

Yelp
I wish I could give this more stars as the restaurant is nice, service was great, and food was really good. But oh my gosh this is so overpriced I can't overlook it on my review. Nothing more to say in case they are charging me by the word for my review.

Yelp
It was alright, pretty oily. Food was ready fast but it was pretty hard to digest all the grease and oil.

Yelp
Today we joined some friends for brunch at this Yorkville spot. I have mixed feelings about it. I would have given 2.5 if I could have. The good: - great location for meeting friends and talking - a.k.a. not loud music - Tables were well spaced out - they didn't rush you - they were good about sitting us in a quiet spot - easy to get to (near Bloor / Yonge) - great cup of coffee - staff were friendly The not so good: - There were four of us dining, and the meals all came out one at a time. Which was really odd not that we were kind of waiting for the last one to come in while things were getting cold - strange for breakfast type options - not sure if it's pretty new but the staff don't seem to have the knack with the service part quite yet. When you're having eggs and things like that you shouldn't have to ask for salt and pepper. It should just come out with the meal - some meals were ok and some just so-so taste wise - The place is really quite pricey for what you get. - toast and jam is a $4 add on ( ie does not come with that $21 brunch entree)! - One of my friends had the avocado toast and could hardly cut through it. It was a single piece of bread and she sawed away at it with a steak knife for quite some time Anyway ... not rushing back here. We have been to other spots in the area with better service, lots of good tasting menu items and at better prices!

Yelp
This 'pandemic edition' review is specific to the Summer 2020 Phase II and III patio experiences and take-out during the second municipal lockdown in Autumn 2020. Atmosphere The patio was semi-enclosed with two open ends for adequate air flow. The tables were generously spaced, accessorized with plush cushions and pillows, and had both ceiling and pedestal heaters to ensure warmth. The staff wore masks correctly during all aspects of service, maintained appropriate distance, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the experience. Service The service was friendly, attentive, and anticipatory. The conscious approach to health and safety made the experience truly relaxing. Food + Beverage The mushroom flatbread was exceptionally flavourful--it was balanced, herbaceous, and satisfying. The wedge fries were crispy and well-seasoned on the outside and soft on the inside, accompanied by a harissa aioli. These happy hour favourites were elevated through their combination of refined flavours and presentation. Takeout Experience We placed an order via Ritual and picked it up promptly. We were immediately impressed with the packaging--a paper bag with all compostable plant fibre packaging (decomposes into soil within 180 days in a commercial composting system). We noticed and sincerely appreciated the eco-conscious compostable packaging. The food was tasty and of similar quality to an on-site dining experience. The only area of improvement is to find a way to maintain the crisp texture of the flatbread in the takeout container as it prone to humidity saturation between the short time it is packaged, retrieved, and consumed. Overall, both the patio and take out experiences at Constantine have been a highlight for us during a gloomy and monotonous pandemic.

Yelp
Great last minute place to dine in. Had great service and amazing food. Recommend the liver mousse, oysters, salad and mushroom flat bread.

Yelp
A little hard to find at first. This restaurant is right next to Wish in a black building. There is security behind the front door and you go straight through two doors before turning left into the restaurant. It is quite pretty on the inside and might make you feel underdressed haha. The food itself was average for the price charged. I ordered the lamb burger with fries. Portion wise it felt pretty small and it tasted alright .. The lamb patty was juicy and soft. There was also some slaw in the burger that gave it a tangy taste. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and looked well seasoned but didn't really have much taste unless you dipped them in the sauce. They were both just fine and didnt make me wanna order it again. The service itself was average as well. It was kind of busy that night and it took a while to get our cheques and our food. Will probably try again for their brunch but I dont see myself coming back for dinner.

Yelp
This is a review of their brunch menu. Atmosphere: 5/5 - this place is GORGEOUS. The decor is minimalistic with tons of nicely lit vases and pottery decorating the walls. I've walked by this place a few times and always stopped to admire the space. The main door is a little hidden and you have to go through the hotel to get there. Service: 4/5 - no complaints about the service here. Our server was very friendly and efficient and they were able to make an iced vanilla latte for me even though cold drinks weren't on the menu. Food: 3/5 - sadly the food was just average. The brunch menu didn't have much of a selection and the items were fairly pricey. I ordered the trout bagel (first item on their brunch menu) for $18 and although it was delicious, the value just wasn't there. My friend's avocado toast was also quite small and she was still hungry after. The Blueberry pancakes (I think that's their specialty item) looked quite good and came in a huge portion. All in all a good place for weekend brunch but don't expect to be blown away be the food. For a $30 meal it just wasn't worth it in my opinion. Come here for the cool atmosphere and no-nonsense service.

Yelp
Definitely, one of the most beautiful spaces in the Church street area. Nestled between Church and Yonge street, this place is an upscale venue accessible to everyone. Listed frequently as a place for brunch, I must admit after examining the menu - I would really love to try their Middle Eastern/Mediterranean dinner fare. The place unbeknownst to me was packed for their first ever drag brunch. We were situated in the dining area away from this event but unfortunately, it definitely affected the service in area we were in. Our server was more absent than I was used to but everyone else was wonderfully helpful. The space though beautiful is inviting. Truly makes you want to sit inside and lounge the afternoon away. IF the weather holds up, I could see myself sitting in their stunning patio for hours. It's one of the nicest I've seen in the area in a long time. Brunch was flavourful. I had the Anndore Breakfast: two eggs, winter tabouleh, smoked bacon, labneh, flatbread. It was a nice twist from the usual breakfast plates.

Yelp
Stunningly mediocre and massively disappointing. I don't know if we ordered the wrong things, but there were too many misses when my wife and I visited Constantine for dinner. We were all hyped up for a great meal as we sat at the chef's table and saw all these gorgeous dishes they were making. Sadly, it was a big letdown when we got our food: APPETIZERS - Mezze Plates with Flatbread (eggplant, garlic, sumac, labneh, cucumber, hazelnut, muhammara, walnuts, herbs): The "spreads" were standard fare, the flatbread was overly salty. - Grilled Halloumi on Panella: The halloumi was a bit rubbery, and maybe I haven't had a lot of panella to know what it should taste like but this was much blander than I thought it should be (and not in a good complement-the-cheese type of way). - Crudo of the Day: This turned out to be tuna. It was fresh and had a light taste to it, which was good. Though for the price, I was expecting a bit more (i.e., bigger serving, more differentiated taste). MAINS - Gnocchi alla Norma: The gnocchi had different consistencies (i.e., some were harder others softer), the tomato sauce was pedestrian, and I was hoping the eggplant and whipped ricotta would be more imaginatively integrated into the dish versus just being plopped into it. - Wagyu Picanah: They said the beef would be on the rare side, and it was cooked to the right temperature, though it was a bit tough - we've had much better wagyu elsewhere. The star of the dish was the tabouleh (good mix, loved the different textures). DESSERTS (this was the standout part of the meal for us) - Labneh Mille-Feuilles: Really soft and tender yogurt and coffee mousse, and the caramelized white chocolate and figs were a nice complement (both from a taste and texture perspective). - Chocolate dessert with kalamansi and lemonquat: Think this was the best dish for me from a "taste + this-is-new" perspective. The cake was moist and oozing with chocolate, and the kalamansi sauce and lemonquat really added a nice and citrusy counterbalance to the sweetness. If it weren't for the desserts and the experience of sitting at the chef's table, I likely would have given Constantine a lower rating. For the price you pay, there are much better Mediterranean restaurants out there. Such a disappointment.

Yelp
My first impression - I was so amazed by Constantine's elegant decorations which espoused such a comfy yet sophisticated ambiance. Take your date here and they will definitely be impressed! The service is A+. Our server was super nice, always checking on our table to ensure that we had everything we need. He engaged in a friendly conversation with us and made us feel extremely welcomed. We ordered the Wallenstein Farms Hanger Steak, Winter Citrus Salad, and Salt Cod Fritter. Wallenstein Steak ($37) Their steak is seared to a delicate medium-rare, leaving the steak juicy, tender, and chewy. The combination of lemon juice, coriander rub, and green harissa creates a wonderful palette of tanginess and herbaceous infused goodness. Winter Citrus Salad ($18) The Winter Citrus Salad is a wonderful blend of endive, serrano chili, pistachio, and mint. The mint adds a refreshing touch to the dish. Salt Cod Fritter ($16) This dish is definitely one of a kind. The cod is cooked to a perfect golden brown, coated with a layer of crispy batter. It's paired with harissa aioli, smoked paprika, and lemon. Although Constantine is a bit pricey, their food and service are of utmost quality.

Yelp
Classy ambience. Quiet inside with nice service. The Mezzeh appetizer was good with a twist to their hummus. The purple heir cocktail was good. My entree was the seared duck breast. Was done just right.

Yelp
beautiful decors and ambiance. i love the open kitchen here. you can watch the talented chefs prep and create all the dishes! service 5/5 i dont remember our server's name, but he was always on top of keeping our glasses full. great sense of humor, so friendly and polite. he made our night very memorable and enjoyable! so were the support staff who brought our food and cleared the counter in a timely manner. overall food 5/5 salt cod fritter - nice light batter covering fresh chunks of cod, served with a harissa aioli [spicy chili tomato based] and smoked paprika! squeeze that lemon on there to round out the taste! im not a fish fan but this was so fresh and quite taste! cacio e pepe - a delicious crescenza flatbread [ soft cheese] with some nutmeg and black pepper. simple but i promise you, your taste buds will be blown away! ricotta gnocchi - these are filled with squash on a parsnip -puree with crispy sage & parm shavings. they cooked more al dente which i forgot to ask them not to...but the flavours were amzing. coal roasted root vegetables - loved the assortment and colours of the veggies. there were beets, carrots, sunchoke and i pineapples. you get that lightly charred smokey taste. a pinch of salt. and some spring mix to liven up the colours. beautiful dish! spaghetti di mare - a seafood spaghetti dish, but we requested it to be made w/only shrimp. they were very accommodating to that. it was tossed in a light tomato and fennel sauce. side of roasted brussels sprouts - deliciously charred and topped with puffed rice bits and shaved grana padano cheese! chocolate sponge cake - a rich chocolaty slice of cake with an earl gray mousse, and cocoa nibs sprinkles. a chocolate lover's must have! we had a wonderful evening here and would definitely be back to try their burger! it looks so juicy and fresh fries are so golden and crispy!!

Yelp
Had a fantastic brunch at Constantine. Will definitely visit again. FOOD: Ordered the lamb burger for brunch and it was excellent. Rich and flavourful patty along with a side of wedges. My gf ordered a gnocchi pasta which was fresh, light and refreshing. SERVICE: Excellent and professional service at Constantine. Top notch experience. The restaurant was fairly empty when we visited so timing was fine (seemed like others have pointed out slow service during busy times). RESTAURANT: The restaurant itself is beautiful. We sat outside on the front patio since it was nice weather, but should have taken a spot inside instead. The space is beautifully renovated, with various art and funiture pieces and a lovely open concept kitchen. VALUE: Good value for money given the service, restaurant and quality of food.

Yelp
A friend suggested Constantine for Sunday brunch. I was looking forward to it after browsing through their menu online. The restaurant was lovely and swanky. It was a nice first impression. I ordered the McGee farm steak and egg. The steak came medium rare as I wanted. I started cutting into the steak, and found it a challenge. Perhaps I needed a steak knife?! But then and again, I also had a tough time chewing on the steak. My friend also said the same when she tried the slice I gave her. We called our server over and told him that the steak was tough. He said that it's a hanger steak which is supposed to be tough. And he walked away. I was disappointed in both the food that costs $27, and the service. Especially the service as I expected better quality care of their clients from such a swanky restaurant. Also there was no mention of the type of steak on the menu, nor did the server cautioned me when I was in the process of ordering it. Perhaps I should have asked for more info about the steak. Disappointed.

Yelp
Food was good, tasty, artful and colourful. Space was bright and modern. Atmosphere is lovely and vibrant. So why only 3 stars? The service. Our Server was so out to lunch, the whole dinner took 3 hours!!! The food was painfully slow, the dessert took 45 minutes!! For more than $100 a person, we expected more, all of us thought the service was laughable. Standouts: dips + flatbread, fish

Yelp
Upscale brunch spot with a unique twist on classic brunch items and great for groups! FOOD // I ordered the Shakshuka and a Flat White. The Shakshuka was delicious, especially the deliciously crisp flatbread that was soft on the inside (this was probably my favourite part of the dish). The eggs were perfectly runny and the Shakshuka itself was well-flavoured. The only thing I didn't LOVE was that it wasn't as saucy as I preferred (if you prefer a chunky shakshuka, then this is for you!). The Flat White was quite disappointing since it came a bit cold/lukewarm and definitely not as smooth as I like my flat whites. SERVICE // We made a reservation for Sunday brunch, but the restaurant didn't really fill up until later in the afternoon. The service was okay, nothing phenomenal or memorable. ATMOSPHERE // Very upscale and classy brunch spot. It definitely attracts a more mature, older crowd. Great for accommodating larger crowds, unlike a lot of brunch places. It's a little hard to find since it's in a hotel and signage isn't great. Use the hotel (The Anndore House) entrance - find the wooden door! PRICE // Definitely a pricier place for brunch. For the quality and quantity of food, it was pricier than what I would have found was reasonable. I think I'll be adding Constantine on my list of brunch places that are good for groups and take reservations. I want to try a few more dishes adding it to my go-to list!

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Dipping those Fries in the Duck Liver Mousse is one of my greatest accomplishments.

Yelp
We came for brunch and my meal was tasty But not too memorable. My friend ordered steak and it was chewy, we let them know but they unfortunately didn't do anything about it. I had higher hopes because we enjoyed going to his other restaurant, Campagnolo. The decor is very pretty and I'd return to try their dinner another time.

Yelp
Came to Constantine for brunch with some friends and had a great time here. The area is a bit hard to find so make sure you give yourself some buffer time if you don't want to be late. I ordered the Avocado Toast. The taste was overall pretty good and the portions were sufficient. Presentation was very nice and you can probably get a few nice photos from the dishes here. My friend ordered the pancakes here and they looked fantastic! Will definitely be trying that the next time I come. Prices are on the higher side which is fair as the interior of the restaurant is quite upscale. Took off one star as the service was a bit slow on a Sunday afternoon and we had to wait some time to get the bills. Overall would recommend if you are craving a fancy brunch meal.

Yelp
It's gettin' HOT in hurrrrrr.... so take off all yo' clothes! Literally. Maybe because it was 43 degrees outside or maybe because we were sitting near an open kitchen or perhaps their A/C died that night but it was SO HOT inside the restaurant. At first it feels a bit snugged and cozy warm, but then as more people dined in, the room temp went up, and I was sweating. Ultimately, it ruined the overall experience, and I just want to leave asap. But I have to say, the decor and atmosphere is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Service was spot on with great recommendations. The drink he recommended was delish - the one made with coconut and ginger syrup. The Barrata and the Pear & Walnut Pizza were delicious appetizers. The Spaghetti was cooked a bit undercooked for al dente imo, but the taste was definitely there. I was a bit disappointed with the Lamb Burger, a bit on the dry side, but the side of fresh cut fries really stole the spotlight - so good. Overall, 3.5 stars. Appetizers and drinks are great. I know Constantine is still new, and hopefully they will work out the kinks (and fix that A/C please). I hope to be back again and try their brunch :)

Yelp
Decor is beautiful Service was soooooo slow! Took a good 30 minutes for our first drinks. Perhaps they forgot. I had the pork porterhouse. It was so dry and not at all what I was expecting. Do not order this. The potatoes were great and so was the cucumber salad. Had fried avocado and strawberries in it. My friends pasta was great. Great ambience.

Yelp
Beautiful decor and atmosphere overall. Service was good however food was just average. The pizza was delicious, but the shakshuka and duck hash was just ok in my opinion. Would definitely give it another try as their pastas look good. The flat iron steak was originally in their brunch menu but they took it off which was disappointing.

Yelp
Came here with such a high hope but was quite disappointed. First the food. We had liver pate crostini, crudo of the day, kale salad, and a burrata cheese as appetizer. The kale salad was missing balance. It has too many citrus flavour in it and missed nutty/earth flavour (could have been better with some pecans or almonds). The crostini is not proportional to the liver pate - just too much pate and a bit too rich. It felt like a whole meal after eating it. After apps, we had a fennel salad, lamb rib and a braised beef cavatelli. While the other two were good, the lamb rib was a total disaster. It was so dry, over cooked and over spiced. You can't taste a single bit of the fattiness of lamb nor its "lamb" flavour. Other than the food, the service was incredibly slow. This is not our servers fault - more of a combination of understaff and a bad floor design. We came here on a Thursday night and the place got busy after 8pm. It looks like it's seriously understaffed with the amount of seating it has. Also because the huge open concept kitchen is located right in the middle and the restaurant has a few rooms/section/booths behind high chairs, it's seriously blocking servers views as they walk by. We came at 6:30 and we didn't finish until 9:30. I would say we spent more than 30min waiting to get a check and the POS machine. Yelp said this place is Mediterranean but in fact it's more of a Middle Eastern and Italian fusion. You will see once you see the pasta and pizza section on the menu. Not sure about the pizza here, but as of the middle eastern part, compared to the similar themed Bar Sybanne which I just went a few days ago before Constantine's, the latter really needs to do some work!

Yelp
Newly renovated hotel along with restaurant. Beautiful space, amazing decor, friendly staff. Amazing outdoor space and cool bar. Menu is interesting with good selection of wine and cocktails. Really enjoyed the food. Will definitely go back to explore further.

Yelp
This review is for a brunch visit. I recall a dingy hotel occupying this area as even on a recent trip the area was strange mix of new high rise condos and some parts that would make you even afraid of your own shadow. I guess progress has moved in and a new hotel occupies the old dingy hotel. The lobby and restaurant have a modern look yet they feel a bit overwhelming with low ceiling and lack of windows. Ah well moving on from the aesthetics we ordered the following Toasted Sourdough with ricotta, honey, pistachio and pears. Nothing special IMO. OK for a filler I suppose. Duck Hash. This came with poached eggs as well. A hearty option for brunch I suppose. However I didn't like the taste profile. Also surprising was the addition of potatoes even though it clearly specified sweet potatoes. Its not the same you say potatoes I say batatas as both are quite different in taste. I tried the ricotta pancakes as well, again not what I expected as another place that is known for ricotta pancakes incorporates them in their batter. Not the case here just a dollop with a hint of lemon for ricotta. Serviceable but not worth a detour. The service is all over the place as well as after getting the menus we had to wait a bit to get our order in and follow up lacked as well. The place wasn't busy so if you are in a bind for brunch give this a look. Otherwise I think even a skip for brunch.

Yelp
Wow. The food here is absolutely fantastic. Me and my husband stopped in here for brunch today (Sunday). We thought the prices looked pretty reasonable and we wanted to check out the new restaurant. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. There's a nice, semi-covered patio, a bar area and the restaurant. The centrepiece of the restaurant is the open kitchen, where you can watch the kitchen work it's magic. It is nice, bright and open for the day time, but I can see how the restaurant could also be perfect for a romantic date night. Moving on to the food. The food is 5-star, in my opinion. We ordered the breakfast pizza, the duck confit hash and the sourdough with ricotta. Everything was delicious, but the breakfast pizza was the showstopper. It has egg, merguez and bacon, and was rich, gooey and delicious. No complaints about the duck confit either. We will for sure be coming back to try more dishes. That being said, I'm giving a four star review because the service is brutally slow. I'm talking snails pace slow. Our server was really inefficient and our food took forever. Especially for brunch, I think people expect a bit of a faster pace. Our waters were filled, but our plates sat empty for awhile and we waited a long time to pay our bill. Hopefully management nabs the poor service in the bud, because the food is fantastic.

Yelp
Giving it 4 stars for a few key reasons: 1) service is great for a sharing restaurant - they must've cleared our plates 4 x and brought new cutlery for every course - great service 2) some of the food was light on flavor while some was spot on. For example, tuna tartar was good but missing some of the zest that normally comes with that. Also, the lamb kebab was good but wasn't a fan of the belly. 3) ambiance is gorgeous - very chic and trendy decor Overall, would recommend this place for a good date night dinner

Yelp
Excellent new brunch spot! The ambience was great! I felt like the management really nailed the mid-century modern look in the dining room. The service was also great. Very courteous and professional staff. The food was mostly excellent (if not a bit overpriced) with the riccota pancakes coming up as the clear winner on the menu. I must say that I have had better shakshuka at the more traditional middle eastern restaraunts.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of staying at The Anndore House on our recent trip to Toronto. Such a great boutique hotel in a strategically located place. The Anndore House is decorated very beautifully with mid century vibes throughout the hotel. What is even more special about Anndore is their in-house restaurant which we didn't get to try for dinner per se, but where we enjoyed a few cocktails and appetizers before heading out for the night. Our cocktails were so delicious, even my earlier glass of wine as well. And our apps were really good as well. I loved and enjoyed the flatbreads so much! If you're looking to enjoy some drinks, some dinner or even a lovely place to stay, you can find it all here. Excellent.

Yelp
Overall, it was a 3.5 to 4 star experience. The service was pretty good and the food was descent. The atmosphere was impressive although some main courses were just too plain for the restaurant's overall quality and pricing. Another down side was that when we received our dishes, nobody took a moment to explain what dish was made of what and since we ordered a bunch of items for a table of four; we lost the track of it. I thought I was eating potatoes until my mother in law told me they were Jerusalem artichokes. It may seem like a small detail to mention the dishes and ingredients; but at a fine dining experience, especially considering that people might have allergies or diets; they have to explain what's on the plate. The flat bread was very mediocre, to the point where I questioned what was so special about it. It wasn't anything spectacular like I would expect at such a restaurant. The lamb belly was cooked so nicely, tiny bit overdone but it added a bit of charred flavor onto it. Although the garnishes that came with it was poor. The duck was alright; but the kale that came with it was just plain kale, almost too plain that it didn't add anything to the dish. The appetizers are represented well overall but are again not explained so I had no idea what I was eating. We just ate whatever was put in front of us. The desert was poor; the Valentine's Day special cake almost tasted like couple of days old. The pastry didn't feel fresh. We got one of each desert on the menu, and nothing was good enough to remember. My favorite item on the menu was some sort of a ravioli that came with a tangy orange citrus sauce. Also, the island trout dish overall was amazing. I am willing to give this place a little bit of a time and I will consider going there again once maybe they've established their menu.

Yelp
Constantine is located in the The Anndore House near Charles and Yonge. My friend and I dined at Constantine on a weeknight where we enjoyed a celebratory meal together. The entrance to the restaurant was confusing at first as we entered from the patio not knowing where the actual hostess was located. Unknown to us we had to walk further into the place, past the lounge, to be seated. Once we were seated we were greeted by our waiter who gave us many recommendations. Based on his suggestions we ordered a variety of food items to share. The concept of the menu is designed around sharing dishes. After ordering drinks we ordered a variety of dishes to share. For the smaller plates, we ordered the chicken liver crostini and the grilled halloumi on panella (with pickled chili and labneh). Both dishes were delicious and unique. The chicken liver crostini was smooth yet refreshing with the pickled carrots that came with the dish. The grilled halloumi had unique flavours of the Middle East combined with the Mediterranean. We also shared two vegetable dishes - the roasted sweet potatoes and fresh figs (with goat cheese, scallion, and chili) as well as the romesco cauliflower (with basil and romesco). Out of the two vegetable dishes, the cauliflower was the winner; the romesco sauce that accompanied the dish was to die for. We both also shared a Cornish hen (food fired with charred lemon and sumac). Lastly, we ordered a labneh millie feullie to share as dessert as well. With the amount of food that we ordered, as suggested by our waiter, we were both full and happy. Overall, Constantine brings unique flavours that combine flavour profiles and combinations of the Mediterranean with the Middle East. The fusion of flavours work well together in many dishes that we ordered. Good and attentive service as well - was for a good dining experience overall.

Yelp
Where to begin? It's a swanky, modern establishment with a lot of space. Service was friendly and server was knowledgeable. I ordered the mezes (labneh, hummus and some other spread with walnuts), the baby gem salad and the chocolate dessert. Beautiful presentation! Everything was so flavourful and delicious! I could lick the plate ;) I would come back for sure! Only opened 4.5 months ago. A true gem indeed!
