The restaurant offers a stunning view and a cozy atmosphere by the banks of the Reno River. Delicious food and draft beer brewed on-site. It’s the perfect spot for a lunch on a sunny day. Great experience in Constance! Definitely worth a visit when visting the city!

Wonderful meal! Amazing atmosphere and view But we were forced to pay the tipsby the server(can't tell who he is.) We chose not to pay the tip but the server moved back to start page and made us force to give tips. Giving us no choice but to choose from 5~15% Everything was amazing except this. And this was the last experience we had in the restaurant which made my whole feelings about the restaurant end up bad Be aware everyone.

We came here for late lunch. Food: Tender beef with spätzle - Beef was not on the tender side, more on the beafy/tough side. I liked the spätzle, perfect texture to me, compliments the sauce (could be abit too salty on its own or with the beef) liked the caramelised onions and fried onions on the spätzle. Spätzle outshine the meat in this dish. Square pasta with potato cucumber salad - Everything is more on the vinegary side. Pasta tasted fresh but the fillings inside were also on the vinegary side. Not my kind of taste but others might like that. Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream - Texture of the cake was nice, more on the sweet side. I think the ice cream is the failure of this dessert. Ice cream was too icy, not creamy. Taste like some vegan ice cream I got back in Malaysia even though there’s milk and cream used in it. Also tasted way too sweet couldn’t identify the vanilla taste much. Service - service was okay. The guy who took our order were acting abit cool I guess. The other guy who helped with our payment was great, attentive enough to give us another spoon as we only got one pair of spoon and fork for our dessert when we were sharing it. Atmosphere - still a nice place to have dates by the river. I would come back for its ambience hoping they could also make better food to enjoy. Menu - available in multiple languages, make tourist life so easy

Very generous food portions, especially for the price. Service was wonderful. The waiter was convivial and efficient. Atmosphere was lovely. You’re sitting right next to the river which is quite nice in the evening/night.

Authentic beer and German cousine. Nice staff, cozy, comfortable and relaxing. Bock beer highly recommended!

We shared a delicious Schnitzel with a refreshing patatoe/cucumber salad as well as the "Badische Käsespätzle" - it was delicious and fairly priced. The xmas decorations in the place were beautiful, the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Overall: Looking forward to returning here and try out other food :)

Excellent spot by the river. Nice patio with plenty of seating and umbrellas. Awesome spot right on the river. Friendly service and reasonably priced menu. I tried the white wurst and spatzle. Both were really good. Perfect comfort food. I really liked the honey mustard with the sausage. The beers were all great!

A rural style German restaurant with excellent service and a menu in multiple languages. They have classic German dishes, home brewed dark beer, non-alcoholic Black Forest cake. Very fair pricing too. On a sunny day, this is a good option to sit beside the lake water in the garden seats.

Ich hatte Oxen Fetzen, was bereits 4 Minuten nach der Bestellung serviert wurde. So schmeckte es auch: aufgewärmt und zäh. Zur pikanten Bratensauce wurde noch Kräuterbutter gereicht, was sehr verwundet. Auch das panierte Schnitzel am Nachbartisch war sehr schnell zubereitet und musste mit dem Messer zersägt werden. Service war nett. Fazit: nicht empfehlenswert.

Prepare yourself for for some good good food. The children were so satisfied. Fish filet was yumilicious! And their cheesecake is superb. We'll Be again Germany!

This place is beautiful! It has plenty of outdoor seating right by the river which is really lovely in the summertime. The building is also very special because there is a large section inside but with all windows, so I'm sure it's really nice to eat there when the weather is a bit colder. The options for food are also really great. I was happy with the wide variety of veggie options. It was nice that there was one veggie option that wasn't covered in cheese. ;) The beer, food, service, and ambiance was all great. I'd love to come here again.

Well, you have to give this place a try for sure. Why? It's in a historic and majestic building, it's on the water, so during sunny days of summer it has to be the place to have drinks and food. For me the limited draft beer selection was a little disappointing. Although they had one of each between pilsner, wheat beer, and dark. But I wish there was a larger selection. The food was just ok. I had the fish dish with vegetables. The service and prices where very good. For me during this visit the best part was my side mixed salad.

It has a nice view on the lake and is pretty fancy on the inside. However the food is neither good or bad. In my opinion, they could have done better. The vegetarian dishes were pretty heavy on carrots and kohlrabi. And also I am not sure, if they really thought through which dish should go with which sauce. If you are really demanding on your food, this restaurant should not be your place. But you can have a nice dinner with your friends. Paid 22 euro for (1 beer, 1 starter and 1 veggie maindish). Service is pretty good and friendly.

Beautiful location to grab a beer and a traditional German bite. Fair prices and very friendly staff.

It's a nice place to pop in for tea or coffee at the fireside on a cold winter afternoon, but I don't like traditional Bavarian food and would never come here for dinner.

A consistently good selection of typical german food and high quality beer choices, paired with a beautiful setting in a small old waterfront château make this Wirtshaus a great place to visit all year round. The only drawback is that there is no parking nearby and it's a bit far to walk there from the old town, about 15min. But well worth it once you get there, ideally by bike ...

We were so happy to find Constanzer Wirtshause! Not only is it in a beautiful location overlooking the Rhine, the service was wonderful. They have an English menu to help with your food selection. Great beer and wine. We had tried a few places in the Alt stadt of Konstanz the day before and found most places to be very touristy and not overly friendly. Quite the opposite here.
