Container Hotel Penang

As expected, the rooms are quite small. But everything is so neat and clean that it is quite a pleasant stay. They offer a towel to all guests, shampoo and soaps in the shower and a water refill station. The common room is comfortable with books and television. And the staff is quite friendly. All in all, the value was good. If you are okay with other people sleeping a couple meters away, it's not a bad place to stay.

It's a reasonably nice hotel in the heart of Georgetown, where many tourist attractions are within walking distance, including The Chew Jetty, the Beach Road where many colonial bank buildings are housed, arts museums and galleries, the famous The China House cafe and restaurant and many more. The only problem I had with the hotel is its unfriendly staff who were so unwilling to help you carry your luggage and all of them don't greet the guests to show their hospitality. It is as though they were too shy to provide such a smiley service or simply just unwilling to serve the guests at all. Seriously they have a bad service attitude! The room looked not bad, though I am concerned about the cleanliness and hygiene of the room. There were plenty of black ants coming from the sides of the wall to the wash basin. Which is quite shocking! What I liked about the room is its high level bed which ensures a comfortable sleep. The only drawback one might find is the noise coming from outside the hotel can be very disturbing and unbearable.

The facilities are great, everything is clean and fresh and new and the showers are food and warm. However, staff is completely lacking charisma and interest in their guests. There is no common room so nowhere to hang out since you can't really talk in the dorms. Doors and key cards are faulty, it takes three noisy tries each time to get into your room and if you mess up the door will start sounding like an alarm regardless of what the time is. The lockers are also programmed to make noise whenever you lock and unlock them. Doesn't feel like it's very thought through.

Accommodation n hygiene are as expected in a budget hotel. Staff however need to be a bit more warmer to guests. Toilet shower weak water pressure. Sink clogged. One of us had a smelly pillow but was refused when she requested change. Amenities are walking distance. There is a water dispenser for communal use. Option for communal or private accommodation available. Definitely would not go back. Not recommended.

Had a great stay there the pod is big enough for a single person, was give a free towel and toothbrushe. The toiletries are free and the toilet are clean. Staff was helpful when I wanted to find halal food, staff told me the thing that are around the hotel to keep me entertained. The hotel is located near the bus stop so getting to anywhere is easy.

This place is very neat with clean bedrooms and bathroom as we booked a private room. The rooms are pretty small but we didn't mind too much about it. Has hot water, offers amenities like soap and shampoo, toothbrush, water, safety box, and iron. The staff were nice, not too much interaction but very practical and attentive.

I’m staying solo in the cubicles. It’s clean, it’s cozy. They don’t stingy on the aircon and it’s always on. So after a hot day out you can come back to a nice and cooling bed. Most importantly the share toilets are clean. They even provide toiletries and towels so you don’t have a worry about getting it. Definitely will come back and definitely recommend to everyone

Booked a night in the Queen Deluxe Room. The room gives off a very cozy vibe. All basic amenities are provided (towel, toothbrush, soap, hair dryer) coupled with a private toilet. There is also an open area where board games and books are available. Noise from cars passing by may be a problem for some as the hotel is situated on quite a busy road. That said, parking could be a problem if you plan to drive directly to the hotel. However, would recommend walking around from the hotel as it is situated at quite a good location. Overall, highly recommended.
