Restaurant Conte , Perast

You can't give any rating except 5/5! Starting from the eye catching view, white tablecloth setting, to the amazing food and outstanding service. Went today 27th of December 2025 - Chilly Weather but sunny, View and the outdoor seating over the sea was excellent choice (some ducks were there in the sea looked very cute and nice). Started by being welcomed from a very gentle waiter, he is very decent, helpful and speaks English well. They offered welcoming plate of butter and mashed olives with plate of bread. Ordered Seabass fish, side mashed potatoes with seaweed, fish was really good! maybe seaweed can be less but it gave a flavour to the potatoes though. White Wine is very tasty! Ordered an ice-cream for dessert covered with nuts and jam on top, it's place special, and it's really special!! Total was 42 Euro, It was worth every penny and it was not much expensive compared to the service, quality and food. Totally recommend!

We traveled from Kotor to Perast on a December weekday for lunch, and the Restaurant Conte was among the few places that were open during low season. On a somewhat chilly day it was a welcome haven after a half mile walk from the bus stop. It’s a high class place - white tablecloth, beautiful wood interior, superior waiters - but you don’t have to spend a fortune. We each had delicious soups, one a veal chowder, the other a chowder with prawns and mushrooms, and then split an order of steamed mussels served in a wine sauce. The bread was perfect for sopping up the sauce! We also enjoyed the house red - Grand Trianon, from Erdevik in Serbia. It was a very relaxed meal, and the server was kind enough to take us back to the bus stop by golf cart. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend!!

Absolutely beautiful experience, could not recommend more. It was the most personal dining experience I've ever had. Our waiter, Sasha took the effort to interact with us one on one and learn how best to accommodate to our personal preferences. He kindly asked if I wanted some advice as to how best have my dish, it was greatly appreciated and I will truly remember such a wonderful personality. He also so politely offered to take a photo of my group for us. He truly made our experience unforgettable for my family and I. The food was absolutely amazing too, and presentation was spot on. The atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely lovely too, you can tell everybody is equally as content and happy with their experiences. I would truly like to say it's more than worthwhile your time. Thank you so much to our excellent waiter, Sasha, and his colleagues.

The penne “Sopranos” was delicious. The Montenegro Spritz was also very good, as was the rosé wine. The view of the bay is fantastic. But the best thing was the service. Our waiter Sascha was very charming and made our evening even more enjoyable. We would come back anytime.

I’m reviewing the restaurant here, not hotel since Google doesn’t give me an option to choose. When you first see this place, you might be thinking tourist trap but I don’t think it is. Sitting by the water with delicious food and all for a fair price was definitely a surprise for me. Our service was great and our time was a good vibe. Great place to take in the views over some good simple food. I’d definitely come back if I’m Perast.

We had a comfortable stay at hotel Conte although the room was very small for the price and not as displayed on booking , the reception staff said they offer prosecco as welcome drink which was never offered. Then the restaurant staff was very rude and full of attitude did not like serving dinner after at 9pm presented the bill even before the food. They were keen to get tips though. Loved the location although parking at site was being charged at 20€ which was very expensive so we parked outside in an open space. They never mentioned about a pool or any other facilities. They never bothered to refill the tea coffee and don’t provide milk until you ask for. Only its location was very nice right in the centre in front of the sea so that was nice but room was noisy at night. Would be a good stay if you want to stay closer to sea but then one has to shell out more money for a better room. The breakfast was included but again was same everyday.

The worst service I have ever experienced at a hotel breakfast. The breakfast is quoted at different prices within 10 minutes - a scam or just incompetence? Waiters scream at guests because they are not paying attention that the guest has already singed in with their room number. They take ages to clear the tables. Wiping them would also be a good idea. There is a single coffee machine inside, so the queue is insane. And the milk they use is sweetened. The fried eggs are still raw, the fried vegetables are swimming in oil and the bread is worse than the cheap ones you can get in the supermarket. Some of the fruits were rotting. A piece of cheese I had was moldy. DO NOT come here just for the view.

Our experience at Restaurant Conte was very poor. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but were visiting for dinner. The service was poor, staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. We ordered the grilled fish but the fish wasn’t cooked properly , it seemed to have some sort of an egg taste. When we shared the feedback with the staff, they were very defensive. In addition, the attention to detail was missing - no cutlery on the table, no tissue papers/ napkins. When we asked one of the waiters who was passing by for it, he was rude and asked us only to speak to our attending waiter. Not the kind of service you expect at the best rated restaurant in town! At the end, they did not charge us for the fish which was a good gesture, but I wouldn’t recommend the place.
